no, but the post office is across the street, so a lot of folks just walked over. The sooner you apply for a passport the better. Since they take away your green card, you can't travel until you get your passport.
If you need to travel within 2 weeks of becoming a citizen, do not apply at the post office. Instead set up appointment at the New York Passport Agency before you naturalization day. The New York Passport agency does same-day or next day passports.
