  1. If he is traveling on a domestic flight within the USA hw will not have to pass through customs and immigration at his destination. So for example on a flight from Houston to New Orleans, he would only need to show his passport to verify his identity when entering the secured area in the airport. They don't check the status of your passport here.. they just check to make sure you are the person in the picture.

When he lands in New Orleans he can pick up his bags and leave the airport.

You only have to pass through customs and immigration when you arrive in the USA on an international flight.

    I hope this helps

Thanks everyone!! That takes another load off the already intense wait!!

  2. My Fiance has his medical exam and visa appointment in Juarez, Mexico next week. After he (crossing fingers) recieves his visa, will he be able to cross the border by vehicle to El Paso, then fly to Louisiana, or will he have to fly out of Juarez to Houston, then to Louisiana? I guess my real question is about flying in the US from the US with a K1 visa once over the border. Is it possible?

  3. First off, I've filed a I-129F that has already made it to the consulate. It has been there 5 weeks now and average time for the appointment letter is 6-8 weeks. Me being the impatient person that I am has already printed out the 3rd packet and sent the information to the consulate. I guess my real question is, has anyone had any problems after doing that, and what has been you guys experience after your packet has been recieved at the consulate and wait times for approval letter to be mailed?

Secondly, My fiance doesn't get mail where he lives because it's a small village in the mountains south of Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico. All of his mailing addresses are General Post of Zomajapa. How will I know when his letter has been mailed if he doesn't actually recieve mail. We've been printing everything off from the internet or tracking it on the USCIS website, but once its at the consulate, how do you track it?
