  1. The same was spelled similarly, but we got a cenomar in 2010 for the because we thought about doing the petition and it was real and not a fake. However the embassy wants a cenomar that is within one year. When we tried to get another it came up with the past marriage. I am unsure how it was linked to her real name. That is why we had to get a fake one.

    Your situation is too complicated.

As far as I know, USEM conducts their own document verification for cenomar and NBI.

Wondering why the recent cenomar showed as married? Although, she falsified the info on her marriage, it shows up to her real identity may be for these reasons: first name matched already, place of birth, hospital or midwife name, parents information, province etc. if nothing shows up exactly to her fake name and fake DOB, those other information will show up and matched to her real name/identity.

    I might be wrong though.

  2. Hi, we are also a Fil-Am couple living in the Boston area, around Malden. We've been in the area for a few years and hope you are liking it so far. My email is mrbartola@gmail.com, contact us anytime with questions and if you want to get together at some point. Have a good night.

Hello, nice to meet you here! I would love to meet you all in person once we are settled. And yes, we are liking it so far, couldn't wait for the spring.

There will be, in a week, although we are moving to NH shortly after (close enough). Plus I know many Fil-Am couples in the area.

Neighbor state, that's fine, not a long drive. We drove to Nashua last weekend.

Hope to meet you all. I will surely invite you'll once we moved to our new place.

You can email me and let me know what part of Boston you live in and I will give you our phone number then.

P.S. My neighbors are also Filipinos.

We moved here 2 weeks ago hope to meet you all.

  4. Basically, when you send the package you fill out two forms for international shipping

    1. 1. the shipping form - you declare the package content and amount on the bottom part of the form
    2. 2. the commercial invoice form (for customs)- you also declare the package content and amount for custom purposes.

I suggest you fill out the custom invoice form make sure to include the tracking number and fax it over to FEDEX (Air 21) in Manila.

They will not charge you tax as those are personal documents.

    Contacts

    # +632 854-2100 (Manila)

    # +6345 599-2801(Clark)

    # +6347 252-7575 (Subic)

    # +6332 341-2121 (Cebu)

Ask for their fax# and fax the form over while you are talking to the live person, this way they can confirm they received the fax. They are helpful, I called them many times already. They only need proper documentation.

    Hope that helps.

  5. In response to ur question about live in partner in insurance policy as far as i know yes. It may varies per state, me mga state po na me common law at domestic partner so kahit hindi sila kasal me rights sila just like wife.

Im sure ur hubby loves you, if he doesnt hes not gonna exert efforts, emotions and money to get you and your son. Give him space to sort out himself. Talk o him heart to heart to get ur paperwork done so u can work and help him. Find a job close o home so driving wont be an issue. He may not tell u everything because it causes fight.

Nagging him wont fix the problem, the more you fight with him the more its gonna make things worst. I understand your feelings being a wife but i can see d major problem about ur fight is money. It may gjve him a different impression especially he's the only one making as of now.

Dont expect a traditional filipino way, it wont happen. Dont count every penny spent to the girl it will juz hurt ur feelings rather do a reverse psych to him.

  6. yeah i understand but not too much that he control if im using the telephone & his cellphone that his paying dollar but the bill of his stepdaughter he pay and i dont have can say coz its his own money....

whats for your his wife but no rights for everything in his house

lucky for her he got help from my husband instead to his own father....

Girl, the telephone/cellphone plan might be under your hubby's plan, meaning he is liable to pay the bills simply because it's under his plan. You will understand that when you get to work, pay bills, credit cards and utilities. Then you you do not want to have late payment to take care of your credit standing. That is how it works here in the US. Be proud of your husband because if that happen to you, your child is in good hands. Try to iron things out and everything will be fine. Adjustment lang yan.

  7. If I may butt in, to the OP sorry to hear about your situation if you do not understand the things between your husband and his late partner daughter. Correct me if am wrong, I think you are jealous of the attention, love and care he is giving to his step-daughter. If you want him to just leave the step daughter alone and do not support him, why don't you try to think about his step son from you too? What is your son is in the "girl's" situation now, you want your husband to just dump your son? I think the answer is NO. You do not know what was your hubby and his ex-partner life like when they are together. They may have a very tight promises to each other, who knows if your husband was the beneficiary to her insurance and likes and that your hubby is just doing the right thing for his step daughter.

If I were you, I will try to save the marriage, It is very early for you to think about divorcing your husband, go back home and think about possible future petitioner or going back to the US. Why not think about saving the marriage first before jumping to those conclusions? Sometimes, it is a matter of how you talk to the person (it may sound nagging to him), dont push away your husband but do things to get him closer to you. The step daughter came in his life before you and your son so better accept it. Accept the step daughter as the more you push the step daughter away the more you are pushing your husband away too.

Try to love the step daughter and treat her good, let her in your family and you will see, your husband will love you more and your son. Just my opinion.

  8. Hi, I had my AOS interview couple years ago mostly documents provided are cards, letters address to you and/or your wife. Just a note, provide copies since the CO will ask originals and photocopies to compare authenticity. If you have no copies they will keep the original documents. Here's what we provided during our interview in Washington DC.

    • Marriage Papers such us marriage license and certificate
    • greeting cards address to both names
    • letters address to both names (some are just my name showing our home address)
    • joint bank account summary
    • bills address to both
    • wedding pictures/ scrapbook/travel pictures/ travel itineraries including airlines (if any)
    • passport and any govt issued ID (had my state ID and SSN card)
    • phone bills showing both our phone numbers
    • utility bills
    • W2 and other IRS paperwork
    • insurance policy showing beneficiary
    • paycheck (surprisingly, the consul asked for it am glad I brought some with me)

    questions asked:

---- The consul gave each of us a questionnaire, mostly personal information (CO compared our answers) about your spouse such as:

    • Date of Birth
    • Place of Birth
    • Date of Marriage
    • Children if any
    • Previous marriage if any
    • Home Address
    • What time does hubby/wife go to work
    • How far is work from home
    • Where does hubby/wife work (company and City)
    • What was your dinner last night?
    • Did you have dinner together?

Hope that helps. Our CO was nice and friendly she looked at every page in our album and the captions. She even read the cards in our scrapbook. After that she printed an approval letter for me and a reminder letter when to apply for removing condition, she even highlighted the dates.

  9. Sorry to hear about these issues. but take heart in that your wife WILL definitely be with you soon as will your stepchild.

    Patience has its rewards. :innocent:

Martin, please do not lose. Your immigration journey will not stop here. Sooner, you, your wife and your stepchild will be reunited again. I know it's frustrating but just hang on tight, it's hard financially and emotionally but if you and your wife support each other everything will be fine.

  10. your right about the Bay Area having some large Filipino communities. Seramonte Mall is a little like being in a SM Mall in the Philippines. Guess you've probably been to Goldilocks in SSF...

I've been to Jollibee already and red ribbon. Next mission is the goldilocks and chowking, plus seafood city to get galunggong.

  11. We recently moved in San Francisco, wondering if there are any pinays living in bay area. I know these cities has huge Fil-Am communities but I find it hard to talk to them. At least I want to meet Filipinas from this forum, any one?

  12. On May 30, my status says "approval letter sent" on the same date we moved to CA. I wonder if that will affect my ROC process. We have our forwarding address (rental box) here in CA from May 30. Hopefully, it will be forwarded to our new address. I did not call the USCIS or file AR 11 yet since we are still in a temporary housing.

Anybody has the same experience? If I did not receive any letter this week, I will call the USCIS and schedule an INFOPASS if necessary.

  13. Count me in, I submitted my ROC in March 12, 2010. Here is my timeline for CSC:

March 12, 2010 - submitted ROC to CSC

    March 15, 2010 - Cashed Check

March 22, 2010 - NOA 1 (date in USCIS online)

    April 02, 2010 - received Biometric Letter

    April 15, 2010 - Biometrics - Tukwila, Seattle, WA

    May 02, 2010 ---- will be moving......

---- on the other hand, I did not receive a NOA1 letter in the mail nor a 1 year extension letter.
