This looks like the link for the new DS-160 online form application that replaced the DS- 156.. but this is only when you are at the consular phase.. before the interview or a non immigrant visa. i guess it does not even apply for the K1

? You had to translate for the Consulate?
But it says if beneficiarys documents are in spanish or english a translation isnt needed for the Consulate in Bs As.
Oops. My interview was in Bolivia.. I dont know if the Consulate in B.A. asks for translations..

Had my interview at the La Paz Embassy, no packet 3 either.
The Consular section sent an e-mail to us (packet 4) with all the instructions and documents we needed to send before the interview.
We sent the documents before the appointment date and the consular section sent another e-mail with a list of other docs they wanted me to take for the interview.
About the visa fee, I paid it the day of the interview at the embassy.

From my experience, we only needed to translate:
For the original submission :
-My divorce decree
For the embassy/consulate:
- My birth certificate
- Certificate of my previous marriage
- Police certificate
During the interview, they gave parts of the docs back to me, including the translations. I used a translator listed on the website of the American Embassy, thinking it would make a difference, but it didn't. If you or your fiance are fluent in both languages, you can do the translations by yourself. The certification is exactly what Corinthians said.

I'm curious about the police certificate. What was wrong with it? or what does it need to have to be accepted.. Please..

I had my interview yesterday and it was in English. I was not given the option to choose.

Hola!
I'd like to know how you guys solved the birth certificate thing..

I'm with the same question.. 131 or 350..
We received packet 4 on May 11 and I'm ready to send the docs to the embassy before my interview (June 08)
I sent an e-mail to the Embassy to the Unit IV and only got an automated response to my inquiry, saying to refer to the www.travel.state.gov website for visa matters.
I was checking that website and I found this
http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1263.html
http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2010/05/142155.htm
I think the payment should be done for 350 but my fiance thinks we should do as the embassy letter says 131.

It is really a lot of time and I was complaining for waiting 4 months. But it is worth to wait...
Question About Bolivia Embassy
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion

I bet you are very excited about the interview coming!!
Well, from my experience (beneficiary) I can tell you I never got any packet by mail either. And if your packet has to be there on Monday I guess it's going to be fine, unless they ask you for more documents and you cannot get them to Lizeth on time.
We also got delayed in sending our package cause I didnt know about the doctor sending the envelope directly to the Embassy but I kept contact all the time with the consular section, thru email and they have always answered my questions.Yes, first e-mail was an automated response but after that I got a reply to every question I had within 24 hours.
In our case, they asked for more documents and we had time to get them and I took them with me to the interview. If you want send a private message and I can tell you all the details about my interview (June). I really hope I can help you
