Well we were planning on getting married 2 months after I get back.
I have been told a company called Bluecross would insure me for those two months?
-
I was just wondering if the overseas fiance has to fill out a medical questioniare when going for the medical and the interview? If so what are the questions? Is it possible to see an online version of that?
-
Are you sure? I thought you had to be a Citizen and able to vote?
-
Basically that is my question. While on a Permanent Resident Status can you be called for Jury Duty?
-
Thanks for your replies. Basically I can't get travelers insurance because I am not traveling, I am on a K-1 visa but currently will not be married and can not get onto my fiances insurance as I have to be married to her.
So it's that inbetweeen stage I am worried about.
OK so Highmark Blue Cross / Blue Shield could cover me for that inbetween stage then? While I am on a K-1 visa?
-
Thanks for all your replies! Very very helpful!
Well I am in the early stage at the moment as my fiance has only just recieved a letter to say they have recieved the k-1 application and have cashed the cheque! Ohh my consulate office is London but the K-1 application was sent to vermont.

Hello,
Just wondering how long I have to enter the US once I have my Fiance Visa approved?
Also I know no-one has probably EVER asked this as everyone normally want's to just get straight over there. But is there anyway to stall the process as I am having to need more time to save up. ie do you get sent a date to for your interview and you HAVE to go, you can't get in touch and ask for another date? Or is there anyother way to stall the process to make more time.

Wow $300 - $1000 per month for health insurance! Pretty steep! But need to get health insurance to cover me before I get married.
-
OK, thanks. So basically look for a private local health insurance company to insure me while on a K-1 visa before I am married. Yep, I figured it maybe pretty high. I am estimating about $300 per month!

Get married asap so you can be added to hers.
OK as she is a student I can not be added to her Medical Insurance. But that besides even if I could be what can I do for medical insurance while on a K-1 visa before we are married?
-
Yep thats true. But while I am on the K-1 visa, before we are married, what do I do for medical insurance?
-
No my fiance is a student and will be for over a year from when we get married. So I can't get medical Insurance via her?
So we are wondering what I can do for medical insurance while I am on a K-1 Visa?

Hello everyone.
Just wanted to introduce ourselves! I am from the UK and my Fiance is American and I am soon to be moving to the US on a K-1 I hope. Just filled the K-1 so here goes. Now we are wondering what we can do for Medical Insurance while we are waiting for my Ajustment of Status and being able to find work?
Can anyone recommend a company possible or give some advice on that?
Thanks so much!

Hello,
I was just wondering if you knew if you cancel a Fiance visa if they send all the documents back to the petitioner?
