I was scared so until now I have not gotten my passport yes. Pls help me what to do.. I have heard it will be in troubled in POE. here are the 3 pics of my yellow packet. post-83255-0-87625900-1350531825_thumb.jpgsad.gif
  2. May I ask if you have shifted from k3 to cr-1? I was in k3 also but since both petitions ( 129f and I-130 ) got the same date of approval so we followed CR-1 path.. like you we don't have case no. yet also we got our noa2 june 5th, 2012. Do I need to call USCIS to inform them that we are following CR-1 instead so that they will forward our case to NVC? Thanks.

I replied to you on the other topic (NVC did not receive our case). Our petition was also approved on april 23rd and NVC did not receive our case yet!

  3. yes you are right NVC are very slow.. Now, I am more worried reading your post coz ours has no case no. yet it will be 1 month tomorrow ( July 5th ) since our NOA 2..Now, I know it's not an easy situation dealing this visa journey tears, worries and stress are what I am dealing now. I'm glad you have a case number finally.. may I ask if you are Cr-1 or k3?

Thank You! They gave me the case number last week and issue me Invoice#, but I could not pay until the case get into their system which can take up from 10-20 days, that's what they told me but the case got into their system few days ago. I am not even close of being finish :(, NVC is pretty slow. I hope you will get your case soon, keep me update and let me know what is going on.

  4. I choose my husband to be my agent for DS-3032 form.. Now my question is.....is it okay if I will be the one ( the beneficiary ) to send the DS-230 IV packet to NVC, instead of sending the documents components for IV packet to my husband then my husband will forward it to NVC? any idea pls vj memebers....Thanks :)

  5. weeeeeewwwww!!!!!! that's good! congratzzzzzgood.gif

    Congratulations!

    We were also just approved!

yes, we will follow the cr-1 now....thanks for the info

Moved from Process & Procedures to Progress Reports.

FYI: The two petitions you have filed are likely to end up at the NVC at the same time. Per NVC policy, when they have an approved I-130 on station, the I-129F is administratively closed.

Since there is a 99% chance that the above will happen, you will want to study the NVC steps that are necessary for the CR-1 visa process if you have not already done so.

  6. ours took 5 mos..we got the noa1 for 130 petition on Jan 4 and for 129f jan 19....so ur application will be next month. My husband called uscis last june 3rd ( that day our papers turned 5 mos. ). so keep calling usics once the 5 mos processing is past .. start updating uscis.. and keep on praying... good luck .

  7. God is so good!!! when I felt losing hope he lifted me up "On June 5, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

    Post Decision Activity

On June 5, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Thank you all my supportive friends here in vj.... to others who are still waiting for the approval, just hang on there and pray that's the only weapon to have during this visa journey .... :)

  8. The I-129F petition filed by your husband will most likely be administratively closed, then NVC will continue to process your approved I-130 petition -- thus you will automatically be on the IR-1/CR-1 track. At the time of your interview at the U.S. Embassy in Manila, if your marriage is less than 2 years -- you will be issued a CR-1 visa, if your marriage exceeds 2 years -- you will be issued a IR-1 visa.

The K-3 is a visa that is rarely issued, it is basically an obsolete visa option. I hope that answers your question.

Yes, you are right... but for now we are still waiting for an approval of our petition.. And my other friends advised me to proceed cr-1 , so I am planning once we can get an approval from 129f we will inform the agencies like usem, uscis, nvc that we wish to cancel the k3 and go for Cr-1 ..... we suite for Cr-1 since we are only 5 mos. married. So do you think my friends advised me well? to contact those 3 agencies and inform them that from k3 to cr-1? Thanks for the reply.

  9. Thank God. I woke up in the middle of the night and once again checked the USCIS website for my case status like I do numerous times through out the day. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised to get the "Post Decision Activity" notifying me that my I-129F Petition was approved. :D:dance: Happy Happy Joy Joy :D:dance: Just an additional for those who may have submitted petitions with an IMBRA Waiver for Limitations, you can get approved if you thoroughly document and provide supporting documents for the request and a good explanation for the waiver to be approved. Things will start moving quicker now. Good luck everyone waiting, your day will come. It may seem forever, but never give up hope. Yeaaaaaah!!!!!

    congratz :) happy for u kicking.gif

  10. You are posting this on the K-1 forum.

If this is for k1 forum...then sorry I am not really active in posting topics here.. I did not know there should be an appropriate place. I was only asking if there's a way we can go for CR-1 than k3 .. I "GUESS" and I hope others here can understand the term I am using it's either shift or change that's a common words to nderstand right away. Thanks anyway.

  11. This part of the forum is for K1 visas. You can always report your own post and ask a moderator to route it to the appropriate forum.

Once again, I suggest that you become acquainted with the different types of visas. There seems to be a confusion between the VISA names and purposes, and with the name of the forms that need to be filed for each VISA type.

i am not confused about the types of visa....Me and my husband knows k1 is for fiance, k3 is for spouse but non imigrant visa, CR-1 is for spouse visa also but it's imigrant entry..I am not confused of the k3 processing also, I knew it how coz we filed already. My question was if it's ok to transfer to CR-1 instead of k3....as simple as that.

  12. My husband filed both I-130 and I-129f.My I-130 was Nov.2 and I-129f was Nov.17, and both were approved at the same time, this February 16.Now i am on my CR-1 visa.

wow congratzkicking.gif that's very quick! I was hoping also it would be both get an approval same time.. May I ask? CR-1 visa no need another medical when you arrive there?

  13. The I-129F form is also used on the K-3 process...

yes we are married now.. we filed k3 visa which has 2 petitions route we submitted first the I-130 petition then after we got the NOA1 for I-130 we filed the 129F petition ( for already married ) and I have heard the 129f petition for k3 it approves easily compare to the I-130 petition...And we are trying if we can shift to CR-1 visa than K3.

The I-129F form is also used on the K-3 process...

yah you are right! thanks :)

  14. Please, go to the Wiki are of this forum http://www.visajourn...x.php/Main_Page and get acquainted with the different types of visas.

For starters though, the K1 VISA (I-129f form) only applies to UNMARRIED people (one of them being a USC) seeking to marry in US soil and remain there; therefore, it would not apply to you, because if you have applied for a K3 visa (spousal visa), it means you have already married.

yes we have our wedding here in Phils.

  15. We are on the process of waiting in line for the petition approval. We filed for a k3 but now I am confused if there's a way to shift to I-130 path? I've heard the 129f petition gets an approval first compare to I-130 petition . So what steps to do if it'a allowed to shift to CR-1? Help pls. I am really confused now unsure.gif

    Thanks :)

  16. If you see each other daily, getting married through proxy just to save a little bit of money but potentially cause a whole bunch of trouble is - sorry - not very smart at all.

May I interrupt pls. wanna ask so even seeing often like their situation... is it still a trouble once they start applying the visa? I have a friend just got married this month through proxy and we're worried how would things go smoothly since they have not meet face to face yet.
