I just wanted to add in....I went for my interview last Friday and was suprised by the humanity of my IO.

The reason I want to mention this to you Sept07 is because some folks on this site really do want to share their bitterness and let everyone know

that the system is all black and white...I found out first hand it isn't.These IO's are also real people and do understand situations...and people...

There are waivers in place and these mixed with good IO's will give you equal chances for AOS.

Don't focus on the negativity, it' is all some folks are interested in, especially if they can upset others with it.

In the end determination and faith can really overcome all. Hope you're doing well.

I just went for my interview and it was really informal(think DMV).Personally I think it would be good to come as you are, my IO wanted to see

the real us and that's what we gave him.There would also be no question about your employment, seeing as you're both dressed for work.

But if it makes you more comfy to dress up, you can. Some people were, some people weren't.

We left the house at 10 am to get to Philly, we were there with about forty minutes to spare, we looked for a coffeespot and didn't find any so

we went in at 10.45, went through the checkpoint and everyone was curtious and to the point, just like the airport.

We went up to the 3rd floor and went into the waiting room and handed in our letter to the receptionist, sat down and waited for our 11.20 which ended up being 11.30.I heard my first name and saw an older man with a really friendly face.

We went through the door and into his office, we remained standing and took our oath(very simple and quick).

Then we were seated and I was so nervous I kept wanting to just get things out in the right order...He continued by talking to my husband about what he did etc,...I then started to calm down because I realized they were just chatting! He then asked us some is this your name and your birthdate type questions and then asked some NO questions....He was chatting about us , himself all through it and I could tell he wasn't being calculated but very genuine.

He only wanted to see the pics because he loves to see the world and he asked about our income we wanted to give him all these copies but he didn't want them, he just needed to know we had them...

We were in there for a good forty minutes because it was pleasant and a good chat, my husband was asking him all sorts and he was glad to reply...

At the end, he told us that he does this to build America through one good family at a time and he said I'm happy to say welcome to America!

Not only was our experience pleasant but it only took 91 days! This IO impressed me so much and I can't help but admire someone like him, he loves what he does and it showed.

I was so inspired and felt so happy and gratefull.

My GC should be here in 2 weeks.

I now know it's true, if you really are married and a real couple, you have nothing to worry about, it's actually quite fun, like graduating!

I didn't have any rfe's or even any odd things...

I guess you seniority on VJ by posting a lot seeing as I've been dealing with this on VJ for quite a few years now...

They are coming to a close though..My interview is on Friday!!!!I am very nervous but realize it's all out of my hands now.

The shocking part to me is that I was expecting it to take much longer...I only filed on July 25th, 91 days later I will have my interview.

I hope it's as easy as many have wrote it to be. I will report back on Friday, crossed fingers would be much appreciated and anything to calm my nerves would be too. Thanks,VJ!

Received my EAD card today!!!

I noticed that before you get it, you get another notification stating that it was sent..from that point it took foour days to receive in mail!

Yay indeed! Looks like it's all starting to move...I actually have four emails about the EAD now...

I got mine on Sept 22nd and just received another one today???

Just checked my email,...EAD and AP card production ordered!

The Chiagco lockbox received my AOS and EAD applications on July 27th but still no NOA.

If I am reading the link that is posted above correctly all NOA receipts were sent out. Should I call and see what happened to mine?

I did receive my biometrics letter which I had yesterday Sept. 13th.

It can take up to ninety days for the actual paperwork to arrive at your doorstep...

You could try calling...But if you have your bio letter you're on the right track, I wouldn't worry.

Is there anyone else still not appearing on the online system even after having received their NOA1 and having gone to their biometrics?

Not hugely worried, but would like to know, as am a bit paranoid about receipt of mail!

Yap... I filed end of July, had my bio. app. and my NOA1 for EAD and AOS but still can't check anything online... and it's driving me crazy, cause even when I call the hotline and try to talk to someone they keep telling me... you're receipt number is not in the computer at this time, please call again later... that's bull cr*%# Sorry...

I can check EAD online, but nothing else at the moment.

The online checking is much more backlogged than the actual process...mine is still stuck on when it first popped up(and that was after my bio). I wouldn't worry or bother relying on it.

So I'm very confused I got a NOA on my I485 (just got it today), that states that we need to appear for "initial"interview on Oct 26th...is this the interview???

I just openend up my noa's for the EAD and AP on the 29th of Aug which was the day after Biometrics....(guess this is another question)the Noa's state that bio is next but no date...what was this bio for then???

I'm using a laywer eventhough everything is in place.It helps my peace of mind eventhough it has it's price.

I think our NOA1 needs to be updated to 8/28/07??? (not sure)

Anyway, until now our case number is coming up invalid. Does this mean we will definitely be getting an RFE for something or just because they are backlogged (I know I'm asking for someoen to look into the crystal ball). Let me rephrase, has anyone received their bio/interview date, but experience a delay in being able to access case online?

We are on the same shoe. Hubby tried to check our status online yesterday when we got the NOA1 but to no avail. It says invalid or not in the system yet. We also tried to add it to our previous account with the I-129F so we can get updates but still it didn't work. My friend who is a mid-July filer had hers appear online few days after she was done with her biometrics. So nothing to worry.

The same was happening to me so I thought it was a temp. N# and that's why I wasn't able to check my case online.

Then I went o my Biometrics app. and that night decided to put my number in for shoots and giggles..Sure enough I was now online.

So you really do have to wait until your bio app...
