  1. I have heard I just need to send the forms in for packet 3, and no supporting evidence, until the interview.

However, i need to send in the DS-156K. This asks for "documents to be attached in order to apply for a fiance non immigrant visa".

This sounds like a really dumb question; Do i attached the supporting evidence with theis form or not?!

    Help

    Thanks

  2. My fiancee in America received our NOA2 in Mid July, as she was on vacaton in England with me at that time she didnt send over the evidence of support (letter from employer and letter from bank) as well as the engagement ring receipt and the approved NOA2 until August 14th.

I'm guessing she had a complete brainwave when she sent it as she didnt get a tracking number or insurance or anything - just sent it 1st class from Phoenix Arizona to Manchester, England. But hey, its done now!

I checked the USPS website and they say it takes 6-10 business days to arrive. The 10th working business day should have been two days ago, and still nothing! Is this normal?

I guess my main worry is that it is now coming up to 6-8 weeks since the petition was approved and I am getting really anxious about sending all the paperwork off to the USA embassy in London. It won't "expire" in the mean time will it?

Secondly, am I able to send off packet 3 now, without the evidence of support and show that at the interview? It is all very confusing what is required.

    Thanks

  3. If you have a legal name change (and you showed this on the submitted 325) you will have to send proof of this to the USCIS at the same time as these documents.

Do you have that document? (proof of the surname change)

Yeah, I have a photocopy of this document.

But am I then obliged to send in my birth certificate as well? I only have the short form one, which apparently can lead to an RFE.

    Thanks

  4. I am a UK Citizen and the beneficiary of an I-129F petition.

At age 7 my name surname was changed to that of my mums new husband/stepdad. I am now 22.

I have declared this on the G325A form.

As the beneficiary do i need to submit the legal name change form? If i do, do I need to provide my birth certificate as well?

I only have my short form birth certificate, and I heard RFE can occur if this is all that is submitted.

There are so many conflicting opinions..

but does anyone have a definitive answer for me... What should i include in the pack?

    Thanks for your help :)
