  1. HI!

Background: My wife has come over but we have waited 3 years to finish K-1 process. She just did her medicals and I am unsure about taxes.

The I-864 needs the past three years income. This year my taxes have been extended past the April 15th. I just started a business in November and needed more time. My question is can I send in 2012 tax return or do i need to wait till I finish 2013. Also do they need an official transcript from the government for 2013 tax return. Im guessing that will take a while if I file 2 weeks from now. Will they need special forms or documentation because I was self employed for November and December 2013? Lastly I do not have 2010 and 2011 tax returns but i made the same amount of money or close can I just use the same income amount? Thanks for any help.

  2. HI all!

Ok So I am going to put my tax return to good use hopefully with my wife's AOS. I have a couple questions. Its been 2 years since she came and we married. My wife lost the NOA I-797 at airport and was never found. I have a copy, can I use that for AOS/interview? The copy is a non color copy of the front.. My second question is is it ok for her to travel on an airplane to different US states before this is cleared up? Thank you for any help.

  3. USUALLY just need the USC to go to the interview with the birth certificate and fill out the forms and bring the payment. ( of course usc needs his name on the birth cert of the baby )

I dont know anything about a USC newborn baby needing a ghanian visa since he/she was born IN ghana and didnt travel there.

I would suggest sending them an email inquiry to ask the specifics or see if someone else has been in the same situation with ghana.

Thank You, I will email them.

  4. Consular Birth Abroad Report. The baby doesnt get a visa. When its born you report the birth to the consul and then you can apply for a US passport for the baby.

Thank you, So does the baby have to be present, or can I bring the birth certificate to the embassy before I leave. Do you know how long the process usually takes. I was told that the baby has to get a ghanaian visa once he becomes an american citizen. If he does not have one we are charged a rediculous amount of money. Thanks for any help

  5. Hi everyone, thank you for all the help. I could not have done this well without you guys. My Fiancees interview date is January 25th 2011. Our baby is due on Nov 2nd. I will be in Ghana from Oct 16th to Nov 7th. She lives and will deliver 3hrs from the embassy. Does anyone know the process for claiming a baby as an US citizen. What steps should I take and will this change anything with her K1. I have recently moved out of the state for a new job. I just need to call them and let them know correct? Thank You

  6. Hi all!

My fiancee is 3months pregnant and she is getting nervous about not being able to come over here before she has the baby. I am about two and a half month into the K1 process. She is wondering if we can start a tourist visa to try and get her here before she is too far along to fly which i believe is 7months. I think i remember reading somewhere that you cannot apply for these 2 different visa's at the same time but i need some proof for my wife. I am preparing for her to have the baby in ghana becuase of the time restraints but if there is another avenue i will take it. Thanks for any info. Pease keep us in our prayers.

  7. The excerpt from below says i have to submit 4 copies of G-325A to put in my I139F petition. I did not see this in the I139F guidelines. Is the G-325A the only document that i have to send in several copies of during the first stage of petition? Another question that i have is it ok to staple documents together; for instance the I129F pages. I also planned to staple a letter saying that my fiancée’s mailing address is different from the address on the G325A. Any help would be great Thank you!!

3.9)... The G325A only has one page but I was told I need "four pages". Which is right?

A..If you are using a newer version of the G-325A it may only contain one page for "Biographic Information". Be sure to make four copies of the completed "Biographic Information" page to submit with the package

Planing to send in K1 petition on Monday

  8. Which address did you list on the I 129f for her? I believe that is the one they use when sending materials from the consulate.

I have not sent the I 129f in yet. I plan on sending it in in the next coulpe of days. I have her G-325A printed and signed with her home address that does not receive mail.

  9. Hello again and ty for help. My fiancee does not recieve mail at her house in Ghana. The G-325A she signed has her home address on it but not her mailing address. Her mailing address is in another town, its actually her family mailing p.o box address. Do i need to add a separate sheet to the g-325A explaining that she has a separate mailing address from her home? What form do they use to find the address of the foreign fiance? Thank you for any help.

  10. Hello all I have been using all the resources this websites has to give and I am very appreciative. My question is in reguards to my Fiancee's pregnancy. She is from Ghana and I lived in Ghana for a year. I came back to the US for 4months and then went back to ghana for a traditional marriage.(No marriage papers were filled). During that time she became pregnant our plan was to do a fiance visa. She is 9weeks pregnant and i am filing the fiancee papers in 2 days. If the baby is born before the visa goes through or the plane will not allow her to fly because of her stage of pregnancy; what are my options? Any help with this would be great. Tyvm
