  1. I am getting ready to file I-864 for my parents. I have some questions so requesting to provide some clarifications please.

    1. I am suppose to file I-864, no numbers or letters after 864, is it right? If not what is the form number please?

    2. If I am suppose to file I-864 then question 8 should be answered as Yes, and question 9 NO check mark.

    My situation as follow:

I am US Citizen, and inviting my parents. I have filed two separate petitions for each hence there will be two separate I-864 and they will be the prinicipal immigrant. So question 9 will be left unchecked because it states 'Do not include any relative listed on a sperate visa petition.' Since my mom had a separate petition do not include. I am also sponsering my brother on visitor visa and filiing I-134 who is applying sometimes this month in local consulate at over sea. Since his petition is also separate do not include his name.

    then the question 3.

Do I need to inform NVC of me sponsering my brother on visitor visa, and do I need to inform local consulate of me sponsering my parents? if so how? is it question 9 and 10 on I-134?

  2. Never leave anything blank.

If it does not apply to you, write in N/A.

For the income lines - if the answer is zero for the tax year write in the number 0.

You don't really need to write a letter explaining why. For the current income, in question 22 it asks about your current employment - you would mark item D Unemployed since - and enter the date you have been unemployed since.

I am in same boat as you in regards to wife no income and she is inviting her parents. This is what I am going to do.

    For question 23, $0.00.

For question 24b i am going to put my name(husband) and my income. Then total line 24a and 24b and place it in 24c. 24c will be showing my incoming.

That means I will be checking 24D and filling out I-864A.

  3. 'Choice of Agent and Address Form' has following statement in it:

'So that you, as the petitioner, can understand any questions that the applicant may have about the DS-3032, we have enclosed a copy of it for you. While only teh applicant can sign the DS-3032, you may send or fax a copy of the enclosed form to the applicant, if you learn that he or she has not revceived it. The applicant can then complete, sign, and return the DS-3032 to NVC.'

So who signs this? I have filed I-130 for my parents so I assume I am petioner, and my parents are applicant? Does this mean I have to send this letter to India and get it signed?

    Please help.
