  1. Hello everyone

I came to the USA several months ago with K1 visa. Two months after our marriage, my husband sent my adjustment of status application to USCIS. We did not get any confirmation notice from them. So, we called USCIS but they had not received anything from us. The officer who answered our phone suggested to file our case again. Then We decided to apply to USCIS again. We wrote another check for the filing fee.

We got notification notice 1 month later that both applications were processed. I did fingerprint and interview, and I got my GC around 2 months ago. the officer knew that we were charged 2 times. But he did not know how we could get our second filing fee back.

Now, we are asking if somebody knows, how we can get the duplicate filing fee we paid back? headbonk.gif

It would be appreciate if anyone can help us and have any suggestion to solve our problem.

  2. hi guys, sorry to always bring up these questions.. i had my medical today and met a girl who apply for fiance visa too, so i asked her some questions about evidence she have.. she showed me stack of emails and letters (she said their lawyer told them to have at least 40emails with her) so i got worried, i told her i just have about 20 emails, cos we talk on IM everyday so no need to send email unless its needed.. she said they are not valid even "call history". so, anyone here who passed the interview that just had few emails and used IM conversations and call history thru internet and not really phone records as their evidence?? i don't even have a single letter from my fiance as our mail here is so bad, just 2-3 cards and some of them are lost so no sense sending me unless he use fedex.

i feel very upset that i haven't thought bunch of emails were required and IMs are really not strong evidence..

i kinda feel nervous, i hope my results tomorrow is fine :clock:

    Do not worry

take a look at this link

  3. Hi KGH,

I meant to write you and be of assistance, if any. Please do not rush a decision. Make sure you have exhausted all options. Marriage is a rather bumpy journey, let alone immigration. We are Iranians, as such, we carry additional burden due to what is going on with Iran. That situation has affected all of us inside and out, one way or another. There are many issues involved that your description of your difficulties does not clarify. If you feel comfortable and willing, please contact me directly. We will get in touch via email and telephone to see if the decision you make is best for all.

    Regards,

    Kian.

  4. Dear K1-Seeker,

You will receive an email from the NVC informing you of your case approval and sending it to Ankara. In a short time, less than a week, you will get an email from Ankara informing you that they have received your case. They will not send you paper forms. They will advise you to go to their site and get the forms. Here is the address: (http://turkey.usembassy.gov/visa_forms.html). It is up to date and has instructions too. You can go there and prepare your documents before receiving email from Ankara. This way, there will not be a delay in sending your documents with UPS to them.

    Regards,

    Kian.
