  1. Congratulations to EVERYONE  This makes me feel soo much better about my husband's upcoming interview in El Salvador. 3 weeks to go!! But i'm already nervous. I'm scared because I'm in college and he just graduated, so we don't have much income, but we have a co-sponser that makes more than enough. I just hope that is enough. And I visit him everytime I have vacation.

    My Evidence consists of:

-phone call records (lots of them)

-Copy of my passport with all the trips I've made

-some pictures of us together, we dont have wedding pictures because my family wasn't able to go, and we hope to have a better wedding here in the US once I graduate.

    -A joint bank account

-And affidavits from my parents and our wedding witnesses

    Is this Enough?

Once again CONGRATS to EVERYONE and good luck to the upcoming interviews

  5. Thank You very much for your help.

I just have one last question. I have never been employed. On question 22 part 6

    I am currenty:

I have checked UNEMPLOYED SINCE ______ however, i have left the space after it blank because I have never been employed. Is this ok? I have attached a letter explaining why I have left it blank, which is because I am a full-time student that has not worked and my parents declare me as a dependent.

Again thank you for the help.

  6. I've been searching for an answer to this question, but have not found a definite answer. I hope someone could please help me to clear this up. My joint sponsor is tryting to fill out PART 6 QUESTION 23 and 25 (he files his taxes jointly with his wife; however we are using only his income to quality) and I would like to confirm that we are providing the current information.

on Question 23 for the current individual income: we have provided the amount on lines 1 and 3 of his 2009 w2's

on Question 25 where it asks for the total income for the most recent 3 years: we have provided the figures on his w2s for 2009, 2008, 2007

however, i feel as if i need to include adjusted gross income. Could anyone confirm this to me or let me know if what i have is correct. This is all that is left to submit i-864. PLEASE HELP

Thank You, and good luck to everyone!

  7. I submitted my AOS and just received an RFE asking to make some corrections. However, I just found that my father (who is my sponsor) did not make enough money to meet the requirements in his 2009 tax return. Can I submit a new AOS for a new sponsor with the RFE?? or should I keep my father as a sponsor (and make the corrections) and add a new sponsor as well?

    Advice Please

  9. I am an undergrad petitioning for my husband in El Salvador. Obviously I do not have any income to sponsor him. I submitted I-864 with my parents as joint sponsors, but there is a little problem. My father's income has been for the last three years around (26,000/ 25,000/ 27,000, but this year (2009 income tax returns) his income was low at 12,180 due to investments he made in a new business he started. Any comments on how this could be a problem and how I could better explain it) I have payment stubs for my mother for this year and stubs of money that has gone in to my father's business for this year. Should I just go ahead and submit the 2009 income tax returns, with 2008 and 2007 and explain at the consular embassy??? ANY ADVICE PLEASE

Also my parents file jointly and I probably made some mistakes when I first submitted my I-864, any advice on how to deal in a situation where a couple files jointly.

And lastly, I do not live in my parents home, they live in Texas, while I reside in Chicago (my residence is paid for by a scholarship), yet they declare me as a dependent...Am I considered part of their household size in my father's form I-864.

    ANY ADVICE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED
