Sorry i didn't respond earlier, I was in El Salvador longer than expected and it was really hard to find internet service with all the rain. Is your hubby already here in the states?? we also got approved, I'm so happy this is done with. Also, why did you add your mother's income tax information if you qualified on your own, if you don't mind me asking. For example in my case. I'm a sophomore in college, so I don't have any income and we needed a co-sponsor, so his aunt is our co-sponser.

Supposedly the first interview is used to collect any extra information they might want. I would just retake everything and not worry much, they did keep his passport, the second interview is supposed to be to prove a bona fide relationship between you two, just a few questions and some evidence. How long did he take in there?

Based on what I've heard the people working at the US Embassy over there aren't pretty bright, so that could have been a reason why this happened and maybe things will go much better with the consular person that conducts the 2nd interview. However, I wouldn't worry much because they did keep his passport and he did pay the fee which is supposed to be used to mail back his passport ...

I'm acutaly going in two weeks! how are you preparing, what kind of evidence is he taking? my hubby is just taking his exams tomorrow. how did it go? I'm glad to have found someone also going through the process in El Salvador
