  1. before you two file, make sure you guys have read and reserch alot about this process, dont rush nothing because it will delay you so much, take your time because it is not that easy, it is not that easy to be so far from one another much longer due to delay, do not rush nothing, all of us her on this journey can tell you that and much more, itell you this because you dont seam to know much about the process, take your time and read and read and wait and wait as we all are... for my filipina

  2. Yeah, as someone who also filed at VSC, I'll say this (knowing that people said similar things to me when I was waiting very impatiently for the NOA2): Try not to check everyday, and try not to stress out about it everyday. It's rough waiting, to be sure, especially when you've waited two months and are watching people who filed well after you get approvals (as most of the folks who filed in Nov. 2009 know all too well). Some of the best advice for the waiting period, I think, may be "expect to wait 5 months, and then if you are approved sooner, you will be pleasantly surprised." Well, I couldn't do that, and I kept expecting everyday to be the day we were approved. Then every night, I went to bed sad and defeated because it was another day spent apart with no news. Until one day, it wasn't; one day, when you've almost given up hope of it ever happening at all, your approval email will show up in your inbox (for me, it was 116 days after the NOA1-just a couple days shy of 4 months). So stick it out, it will come! Good luck.

thanks for the straight hard but true advise, just wait huh? ok, sowy it just that i get a lil fustrated when i think they past me up or lost my petition or when i dont hear about they other febuary filers, thanks again guys for support

  3. is china airlines that bad? I dont want to have my wife change planes 2 or 3 times and have a 3 and 12 hour layover on her way to alaska. This is the only flight that is direct to anchorage (with one stop)

philippine airliness also offer first time immigrate discount, their is one PAL right alround the corner of St.Lukes Medical, and they can find her a flight to anywhere with good discount

  4. Hi, I have just submitted my I-129F petition, and am now thinking/planning about I-134/financial support. I read here that basically the magic number is 125% of the poverty line. But all the places I have read, this number, $18,212, is said to expire after 3/31. So, now it's April already, has anyone heard any new number that's published? Or when will they publish the new guideline? Will it be like last year, the poverty line unchanged?

the poverty guideliness you are looking are if you are petitioning for a SPOUSE and child, read carefully, dont just read were it says guideliness

My fiancee got a visa approval the other day. I was browsing a ticket for her but it will say:

    Korean Air:

According to Philippines law, tickets for flights from the Philippines cannot be purchased from any region other than the Philippines. In accordance with the law, such flight tickets are not available in Korean Air's homepage. If you wish to purchase a tickets for flight departing from the Philippines, please contact Korean Air office or service center in your region.

Orbitz, Kayak and Cheaptickets.com will say:

We're sorry, Orbitz does not support flights that originate from Cebu, Philippines (Message 1031).

We're sorry, Orbitz does not support flights that originate from Manila, Philippines (Message 1031).

    Pls. help.... thank you.

i asked about this when i was there, did you guys know she gets a discount from Philippines Airliness if her first time leaving, have her go to PAL, the one i when to is at the corner of Jorge Bocobo and United Nation Ave, by the dates if she can prove that she just got the fiancee visa she will get a nice, mean nice discount, she will need to pay for it there,so you may need to send her the flow, i ask about one to San Antonio Texas and it was like 700dlls usd, she just need to say about the immigrate discount.

  7. We are going to the USEM on Monday to get the Police Clearance letter for the Japanese Embassy. Since we are going to be there can I just schedule her interview before I leave or do I have to do it over the phone?

    Thanks

They want you to pay some how, either you or her, if you go to the embassy, they wont let you go in, if you dont have appointment, they tell you to call or do it online. you dont loose nothing in trying

  9. We've now joined the February 2010 Filer's Club. I-129F went out today via Express Mail. My fiancee is from Chelyabinsk, Russia. We've been seeing each other for two years now. Met on Elena's Models and have since vacationed in Prague, Egypt and the Bahamas. I strongly recommend two of the three :)

Hoping for an NOA-1 by the end of next week.

By the way, I noticed that the ZIP+4 is listed wrong for the California Service Center--made a separate post on it.

Good luck to everyone--I'm anxious to post some progress on our application.
