Thanks Alan,
I forgot all about it. We hired a lawyer to do that and he told us that it wil be forwarded to Barbados, that is the reason why we were quite surprised to find out that it will be in the Philippines. Is it possible that it has something to do with my previous K1 application with the same person and also in the Philippines that is why they sent it directly to the Philippines? I don't want to ask my fiancee to leave her work there just because of an error made somewhere along the way, because once she is out of the BVI, she will not be considered a resident and will not be able to process anything in Barbados.

Dear Guys,
It's me again. I have received a letter from the Embassy of the United States of Manila that my fiancee is already eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview. This is a K1 application. What confuses me is that my fiancee is currently residing in the British Virgin Islands when we applied for this petition so we are somehow expecting that it will be forwarded to Barbados Consulate, where the BVI is under its jurisdiction. Does it mean that they have decided somewhere that it should be my fiancee's birth country where the interview should be held rather than in Barbados?
Also, this is my second k1 petition for the same person, the first one was also approved but she did not attended the interview two years ago also in the pHilippines, will this have an impact on our current application?
Thanks a lot for all the help!

Yup Martyshk, Already did that twice last week and tuesday, the first one told me that they have not received it, the second one told me that since it did not state on my NOA2 that it will be forwarded to NVC, then it has been forwarded directly to the consulate.

Thank you Franc for the information. That is what makes me worried because I am really unsure as to the processing or as to where the visa application has gone to. According to the NOA2, it has been forwarded to the corresponding consulate, but then I emailed the consulate and it says there that I should contact NVC because they are not in the position to verify whether the application in their or not. And according to NVC, if the NOA2 does not state that it is forwarded to NVC then it goes straight to the embassy. That is where the confusion comes in. I mean if I know that my application is in NVC and is currently being processed, I would not have been worried like this, but the thing is i do not know where it is currently at. Anyhow, thank you again for taking time responding to my dilemma and hopefully things are being processed. Thank you again.

Thanks again Мартышк+Мартышка, if the timeline is like consistent in NVC like it will take an approximate 1month to process things, I will not be this anxious. it is just that some of them are just taking days to transfer from USCIS to NVC to the consulate, and mine has been three weeks now with no NVC receipt. i will give them until a month, then if i don't receive anything, i think i need to do something about it. thanks again!

Thank you all for your response. It makes me feel a lot better waiting. What I just don't understand is why yours, paulsveta took three weeks to reach the consulate however, mine is exactly three weeks from now after the NOA2 approval was approved and it hasn't been received by NVC yet.
I also looked at your timeline Мартышк+Мартышка, and it looks like it has only been days for your NVC processing. And the hardest part is I don't know where it is currently. Unlike in USCIS where i know that it is currently being processed in their department, I don't know where my case is currently at now.
But thank you very much for all your help and guidance.
It is greatly appreciated!

Tracy, thanks a bunch for the response.yes, even if she is from the philippines, she is currently residing and working in british virgin islands so her consulate under jurisdiction will be in Barbados. at any rate, i think we don't have much of a choice but to wait. take care!

hello,
i hope somebody can help me on this dilemma. my fiancee visa application has already been approved march 4, 2010. according to the notice it has been forwarded to the listed consulate, though it does not state on the notice where the consulate is. I have sent an email to the Barbados consulate inquiring whether they have received my application and when should my fiancee expect packet 3, they told me that they are not in the position to inform me of that and that i should contact NVC. I contacted NVC a number of times and they kept on telling me that they have not received any application and may take 1-4 weeks. however, i have noticed that for k1 visas timeline here, they are usually just passing NVC for a few days and then forwarded to the consulate. and here is the thing, when i called again this morning in NVC, they told me that since based on the approval notice it has not stated there that it will be forwarded to NVC, they will not receive that specific application. I am really confused and do not know where and how to check the progress of my application.
Any assistance on this matter will be very very great. Thanks guys!

Yes, she is legally residing in the BVI. She is currently working there.Am i just being paranoid?I mean I don't have problems that my fiancee will have to go to the Philippines for her interview and medical, what worries me is what if there has been a mismatch and then subsequently she will be asked to process it in Barbados? Because if she will be going to the Philippines, she definitely has to resign and then afterwards, she will not be considered a resident anymore of the BVI.
