  1. her mother will pay for her ticket and we will give her room and board, she has her own spending money. Does anyone have any experience with this. I just want to make sure that I am covering all my bases and that I don't forget anything that might help her.

  2. Hello,

my wife's daughter would like to visit on a B2 visa. How should we go about this process, should I fill out form I 134 affidavit of support or would a simple invitation letter stating that I am willing to support her during her visit and the length of stay. She is 25 and single living and working in Kiev but not much else, she can show that she shares ownership of my wife's apartment in Ukraine along with her sister. Any ideas that would help her chances of getting a B2 visa?

    Thanks.

  3. Hello everyone,

I am a little worried. Valentina and I were married on Dec 3rd, we filed for AOS on Dec 15th. Now I want to put her on my bank account. Our problem now is we cannot get a state id or drivers license because her I94 in her passport has expired. I thought that since we are adjusting status and have the NOA paperwork we could get her state id and add her to my bank account but no luck with anything. I was told I would have to wait until she gets her green card but if we cannot have a joint account then we might problems at the interview. Any ideas?

  4. Im not an expert but for me there's nothing to worry if she is really your daughter. If they ask you more proof and you have it then just give it to them. Maybe you can ask the doctor that deliver your daughter, that would be nice if your doctor can prove it that you delivered her normally even you have 4 previous CS.

If they are really giving you a hard time then maybe DNA testing would help answer their questions. I know it is drastic but it might come down to that.

  5. No. She is transferring flights. She will not officially "enter" the United States. Going through customs is not the same as entering the United States.

You better be careful. She will have to go through U.S. Customs and Immigration. Once she is out the door she is in the U.S. I am not sure how LAX is but I do know in Chicago there is no sterile transfer area and once you arrive in at the International terminal you need to clear customs and immigration. All the international flights at Chicago depart from domestic terminals. You better check with the airline.

  6. Hello fellow March filers. I hired a lawyer to take care of my K1 package. It was sent out on 3/8 and we received notice of receipt on 3/15. The checked was cashed on 3/12. California told us they would take about 3-4 months to finish their part. It sounds about right I guess. You know if I found this site before sending it to a lawyer I might have tried this myself. Good luck everyone.
