  1. Hey no problem. I know it isn't much (DHL tracking our goods) but it's still kind of nice to have the illusion that we are in control of our lives... :blush:

    Good luck to more speedy journey.....!!!

    :wow:, my package already reached New Delhi....guess the volcano didnt get in the way for me. I wonder how long the embassy will take to enter it in their system. Guess I should call the DOS starting tomorrow. Any pointers on that?? :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

  2. NVC told me that they mail the letter out when your file is shipped to the embassy. I personally don't like waiting for government incompetence. I called NVC everyday for two weeks while we were in additional processing. I found out exactly which date our petition left NVC and tracked it by DHL to the embassy and gave the embassy a few days then called for an appointment. We went through St Lukes and have the appoint next week and we just received the NVC letter a few days ago. I guess it all depends on if you have LOTS of patience.... :whistle:

    Johnny, my case reached NVC last Friday as I told over the phone....I plan on checking NVC again tomorrow. Do you know if it is okay to check so often? I think the operator instructed me to call in a week or two. That seems a bit long when I see many cases leaving in 2-3 days. And my last question...how were you able to track your package w/ DHL. Is there some sort of system?

  3. Just getting ahead on the DS-230, and had a question concerning Line 14 - 16. Since I am applying for a K1 for my fiancée, should I place an "N/A" for the portion of the form asking for "Spouse's" name, address, and occupation? Moreover, should I do the same for Line 31-a, since it's asking if I (referring back to "Spouse" will accompany her back to the States? Seems like an easy question, but I feel really strange not putting my name, address, occupation, and so on. I plan on being with her during her interview too. I guess I just need some reassurance. Thanks for any help! :)

    Actually, I figured it out since the following question asks when we got married. So I was right, should put "N/A" :bonk:

  5. I did call on friday...but they didnt get it yet...I called the automated recorded message system

    That explains....I've read that K1 visas are not entered into the automated message system. You'll have to speak to a live person. You should try giving them a call again come Monday. I think their hours are from 7:30am to 12:00 am EST, Mon - Fri. I've read that early hours and very late hours are best to get thru. Hopefully they already have your file!

  6. we got the NOA 2 yesterday...im curious when NVC is gonna get the papers...and when my embassy is gonna get them...im so impatient

    Have you called NVC? You can call and confirm progress on your approved I-129f. Just follow the instructions left by Captian and Jared & Mary...

    "Call the NVC in a day or so to find out your NVC Case #... 603-334-0700

    Follow Mapt's instructions below:

    ==============================

    Ok, just a little sidenote, for everyone who calls NVC in the future - you HAVE to talk to an operator.

    K-1s are not entered into their automated response system.

    So when calling, press 2 (for non-Haiti related case), 1 for English, 5 for an operator. Then you will be placed on hold.

    Have your EAC/WAC number ready. Your beneficiary's DOB and name, and your DOB and name. Emails for both and your phone #. "

    ================================

    When you speak to the operator, ask when NVC received your paperwork, if it has been mailed off to your embassy, and lastly, your case number. Hope this helps!
