Hello colleagues,
After so long of a waiting and gone thru so much of papers and reviewing so many post my fiancee got approved the visa. My question is how does it work at the airport? Is it like consulate style interview or just simply handing over the package to them and they just get the finger prints and let her in?
I can't find any review at the washington dulles airport and just wondering anything you guys knows about this airport?
We just want to be done with this process and get on with our lives as i know how much of paper works we have submitted and , checks, and rest of the stuff.
Thanks much for your help!
it was great experience for me had no problem at all just need to be ok with all documents and to know when to go where but the most bad thing is that i came via same POE and guess what i forgot what i did lol but its not that tough how we think of

hi in my case let me tell u one thing in the naturalization certificate its written down that making a photocopy of this certificate is illegal..
but we took photocopy and sent to embassy for petitioners proof of USC..
so i think its okay to take a photocopy for a petition related case

i think a letter needed details for the relation between co sponsor and petitioner(not beneficiary) when i went for interview i had to give one..
about other things i cant tell in perfect but seems quite good..

Hi everyone
Finally heard on NVC's automated system "Case Completed on Oct 12, 2010. Wait for 8 weeks for further instructions" Does anyone have idea as to approximate wait times for interview appointment once Case completed in IR1 category. It has been a long wait now away from my husband.
sometimes it takes full 8 weeks sometime 1 weeks or 2 if u are lucky maybe within weeks actually not lucky it depends on how busy is ur local us consulate...
-
i signed with black ink... if u do with blue its good i think............
-
I am taking with me the following:
The Letter received from the NVC which indicated the date of the interview
A copy of the DS230
Birth Certificate
Family extract (which shows my and my mom's name)
Civil Record
Police Record
Passport
Photos (as per the embassy requirement)
Medical examination
Do you think I will be needing anything else.
Please advise
Thanks
dont forget evidence to show ur relation which could be photo's letter chat logs anything else u have best of luck

Hi Arashh,
In the letter that I have received from the NVC there's a list of documents that are needed. But next to my Immigrant visa application it says "Required document received". My Understanding is that the NVC will fwd the original one that I had sent to the embassy and I will have to sign that one in the embassy. Isn't that correct ?
yes u r correct NVC forward all the document u have sent to them..
-
I mean to deny me the visa. Or in such cases as long as all the documents are there you will get your visa.
Also a quick question: I was just going through the website of the embassy and they said you should have a signed DS230. We had already sent the signed DS 230 to the NVC. Should I have another one ? or the one we had sent to the embassy is the one they are talking about.
Thanks a lot
i don't know which one is they talking about but yes you fill out another and take that with u the time u go to ur interview and sign only ds-230 part 1 do not sign part 2 cause part 2 u need to sign in fron of consular when they ask to!!
and about visa rejection as i think u are in a family based visa category so if u have enough evidence to show them that u are real and ur relation with the petitioner is real there is no chance of rejection..
and to let u know sometimes people don't get visa in a day some people have to go through a processing called administrative processing that is called in short fom AP so no one know how long AP takes sometime a month or more AP timing is unknown AP is actually a background checking if the consular officer feels that u need a AP so u might be issued a 221(g) form again and in that it will be written additional processing..
but dont worry be true and take as much evidence as u have to proof that ur relation is real so there is no chance of AP
-
lucky ur father yes it is normal congratulate ur father
:D
-
Hey Thanks ...
I already have most of the documents ready.
Is there a chance of such a visa to be rejected if you have all the documents ready ?
if they need anything else except those are mentioned so they might give u a blue sheet221(g) and will mention in that sheet which document to bring..
what kind of rejection did u mean?

Just sent ds 230 on October 3... Hope it will be fast for my case to be completed!!
best of luck on ur case !!!

Hi all,
After a long wait I have finally received an email from the NVC that my interview date is on the 3rd of November. And in that letter they had mentioned all the things that I need to prepare for the interview. (Medical Exams, Police certificate Etc.)
My Question is: Do I need to contact the embassy to confirm the date or I have to get all the papers ready and take them with me on the 3rd of November.
Your help is really appreciated.
Thanks
no need to contact embassy they know that u have an interview on that day.(3rd nov)
so just concentrate on what the letter asked to take to the interview the doc u mentioned..
best of luck..

im speechless on this one ARASHH!!! hahahaha... the only thing i was a lil bit p****d is some of us are just been here in less than a year, even processed papers from USCIS in less than 5 months... and i just dont get it why we all have to loose our patience while some took 4-5 years to finish everything. i kinda understand why when a friend from VJ is done that will just fade away after having the VISA, they are trying to make up the time that they are far from each other.....
but can we just STOP complaining that it take 5 more days to blah! blah! blah!........ .........
haha nice... so wahts ur update mitch..
best of luck on ur case..

Hi, I have a question that i'm hoping someone has the answer to....
I went for my K1 interview yesterday at the London Embassy (I was approved
). When i was half way home i realised i had not been given back my original divorce decree... Will this be included in the envelope containing the visa or have they made a mistake not giving it back to me at my interview?
Thanks
Michelle
as i know original document gets back but with ur confusion i also think it was a mistake and human does mistake..

Hi All,
Finally, the day has almost arrived and our daughter's interview is in London tomorrow.
In the letter we got setting up the interview, they list everything she needs to bring.
So tomorrow she is bringing:
Herself
The appointment letter (addressed to me as I'm the third party)
Her passport
The courier fee (debit card)
The photographs for the visa
The letter from the doctor confirming a missing vaccination has been given.
And that's it ... hopefully they won't want to see photos of he with me and with my wife (I can get these to her but she has to get them printed off, etc) and it's late in the UK now.
So, can anyone think of anything else she needs to bring, based on their own experience?
Thanks.
Ronan
u are making a big big mistake why are u taking this risk they will must want to see picture with u by time she grew with u or not thats what called a solid evidence of relation with family i wont wish that but based on my experience if u dont provide picture to show the relation between father and child she may ask for it... if its late let it be late let her print those picture why to make it wrong when u all waited for this day for long time
anyone LPR who file i-130 for spouse...
