I've gotten conflicting information concerning the automated response. My wife e-mailed the D-3023 and never received an auto-response, so two days later, I forwarded her initial e-mail with an explanation and had her send another one in. No auto-response for either. I then had three friends in different parts of the country send in e-mails that simply said "Test", and none of them received an auto-response. However, I DID receive e-mail confirmation a week or so later (personalized response), that I had been assigned as my wife's agent of choice. Very strange.

When my wife receives her CR-1 and lands in New York, what will she have to do at the airport? For some reason, I haven't thought of that before now!

LaL: what in that brief article lead you to believe that they would arrest someone based on how they looked? I would be surprised that anyone on a forum like this would be opposed to an effort such as this. After all of the money, heartache and tears we've put in to get our family here from overseas, there are people that break the law (which is a pain sometimes, yes, but that doesn't negate the fact that it is the law) and enter illegally.

My wife (beneficiary) and I are having my parents sponsor her. I am in Indiana, and they are still at my childhood home in Alabama. I was told by an agent that one of them needed to fill out a 864, and the other needed to fill out a 864A, since they were a household member. This sounded odd, but we really only needed my mom's income since she makes quite a bit of money. I'm interested to see how that pans out, though!

Yeah, thanks everyone. This has put me on the right track. It will be much more difficult than I though since she has income in two currencies (Norwegian and Swedish Kroners). I wonder if the U.S. government will tax her again? They have such a ridiculously high tax rate there, it would be awful if they did.

I was married Dec. 21, 2010 in Finland. I am the USC and need to file my taxes this year, but we are right in the middle of the CR-1 process. Does anyone have any tips on how to file this, or how I will list my wife (Finnish citizen still, with no greencard yet)?
Any information would be helpful.
Thanks.
Paper size for G 325 Bio info

It will be fine. The standard paper size in Europe is a bit longer (maybe 3/4") and slightly slimmer than the American standard (A4?). Everything my wife sent me was on that paper as were our marriage certificate, her birth certificate, her police records, etc.
