  1. I am so frustrated!!! and mad!!! Just got of the phone with OLIVIA, she tells me that my documents are not in review that they were entered in the system on the 24th blah blah blah!!! OK so I called yesterday and the other person I spoke with told me my documents were in review!! So which is it???!!!

Can it be that my document have not even been looked at? I guess I will have to make another call and hope someone can give me a straight answer... She just kept repeating that they have 6-8 weeks to look at my documents... ok now I'm sad and confused:wacko:

    Emily

Mamamimi, no worries. Ours is approved 21 days after everything was received by NVC, per AVR. You may receive your SIF/CC in a day or two.

  2. This is what I am referring to Darnell:

    "June 18, 2010

    NVC Case Number: LMA##########

    Dear Sir/Madam:

This letter contains instructions for processing the immigrant visa case of V O C

    L. We have received all necessary Immigrant Visa fees for this case.

Each traveling applicant must now complete Applicant Document Processing. Please go to the Department of

State website at the following address: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. Click on the Applicant Document

Processing link and follow the instructions.

Please pay close attention to the requirements for police certificates found on the referenced web pages. In some

cases, there may be specific Police Certificate Request forms that must be submitted in order to properly request

and obtain the applicable Police Certificate(s) based on your residence history.

As part of the Applicant Document Process, each traveling applicant will be required to return a DS-230,

Application for Immigrant Visa, to the National Visa Center at the following address.

You MUST RETURN THIS PAGE along with the requested documents to:

    National Visa Center

    ATTN: CMR

    31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100

    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909

To avoid processing delays when returning documents to the National Visa Center:

    * Write the applicant's case number in the upper right-hand corner of ALL documents

    * DO NOT attach documents for other cases to this page

    * DO NOT send information for other cases in the same envelope without attaching the NVC's letter to the

    front of each case's documents

FOR FAMILY-BASED IMMIGRANT VISAS: If this is a family-based visa case, then the petitioner, C

W, A M, should pay the Affidavit of Support (I-864) Fee and complete an Affidavit of Support

    (I-864) form."

Teya, thanks for posting the message!

  3. CCNKC- If you have paid your IV bill fee and printed out the coversheet then I think so. NVC does send you an e-mail after your IV bill shows as paid stating that you must send in that e-mail with the packet.

Teya, thanks for your advice. You are always the angel in VJ, especially to Mar filers.

So, when should I expect that receipt email from NVC as the payment portal just showed as "PAID" yesterday.

Darnell, thank you too. I'll read through that thread!!

  4. Congrats!!! Is that the normal amount of time it's taking for this? Looks like I will have to wait a little longer than I hoped for. As I was approved on 7/14 when do you think I should be calling for my NVC Number? I was thinking Monday 7/26.

Agreed with triaxxx and jujuswife, you may call NVC now as it won't hurt. I guess you may wait for 10-14 days before getting a case no. A few early July approved VJers waited for 2 weeks before having their case no. assigned.

  5. CCNKC- What? Did you try calling back again? There must be some kind of mistake.

As i'm not the USC, hubby did the call. If he understands correctly, that operator did tell him "no visa is available".

But what i understand is that there is no quota constraint on spouse visa, it should always be available!! Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Should he call again or i should proceed to send out the DS3032??

    Thanks for your help!

  6. Hubby just called NVC but still no case number yet.

Hope NVC won't put more obstacles on our way ahead.

While waiting for the case no., here is the list of documents to be sent with DS-230:

    1. 2 passport style photos

    2. Part 1 completed & signed and Part 2 completed but unsigned form DS-230

    3. Birth cert. of the beneficiary and a copy

    4. Marriage cert. and a copy

    5. copy of biographic data page of passport (beneficiary)

no PCC will be sent with the packet as this will be sent to the Consulate directly from the Police.

Teya, did I miss out something?
