can someone plese help? so i came in to the US in a k4 visa my step-father brought us from the philippines, i was 20. 2 weeks after we got here i turned 21 so my step-father thought since i was of age he could not petition for me and that i would have to wait until my mom got her greencard, when she did she did the petition. then i got married to my husband thinking that there was nothing wrong, since we have not gotten the approval or denial of my moms petition my husband decided to petition me instead. we did the i-130 and all that when we got to our interview they denied me because of the limitations of the k visa. we dont understand... talked to a lawyer and said that i would have to go back to the philippines and do it there?
we have 2 kids, i have school and my husband is the only one who works. how do we do the hardship letter? where do we start? should we hire a lawyer?
