    Oath ceremony

    Just a quick not to all these people who are going through the N400 process.

    I just want to say it was long process but with all the help from memebers of VJ and the great staff at the Kansas city office it made the process go smoothly.

    When i arrived at the court house down town Kansas city for the ceremoy i was greeted by 15-20 people from my work and friends it was touching and they got to witness the process which was very emotional.

    For these people getting close for the oath please take family and friends because it is a very emotional and gratifying day.

    Again thanks to all these who helped me and if you have questions on the process and are filing through Kansas look me up or email me.

    Kansas Mo Interview experiance

    :dance: Today i had my interview at 11.ooam

    I arrived at 10.25 after getting lost down town Kansas.

    I was called to the room at 11.05am were she swore me in and then aSked several questions on my application.

    Then the test part came Who is the govenor of Kansas?

    Where is the statu of liberty?

    What do you swear when you become a USC?

    Plus two other questions which i forgot already (SORRY)

    i had to write the president Lives in the Whitehouse.

    She said congrulations you have passed and you will get letter letting you know when to go for your Oath ceromony down Town Kansas.

    It will take 2 -6 weeks to get your Oath Letter..Bring your green card this is your ticket to the party she said. :dance:

    Thats it i went home and called my Family and friends........

    Just got back from my Interview in Kansas Mo

    They went through my n 400 asked me10 questions about my n4oo

    Then the test was

    Who is Governor of Kansas

    Where is the statue of Liberty

    What do you swear when you become a citizen.

    When is the last day for income taxes.

    plus two the questions which i forgot

    I had to write The president lives in the white house.

    She then said you have past and wait 4-6 weeks to receive a letter for your ceromony and bring your green card.Congraulations...............

    N-600 Typical Processing - times and procedure

    Hello to all on VisaJourney!

    My wife recently became Naturalized Citizen. She filed N-600(Application for Certificate of Citizenship)

    for both our children on 03/26/2010. Applications were mailed to Santa Ana, CA USCIS Office.

    Both checks were cashed 03/30/2010 by USCIS. A few days later acknowledgement letter came for one of the

    applications only. It wasn't "Notice of Action" letter just the plain one on USCIS letterhead saying that

    application was received and that "an appointment letter will be mailed to you".

    There was no response to the second application until now - two week later. I wonder if we should start

    making inquiries about the second application and what would be the best way to do that.

    I already tried calling USCIS Customer Service, but to require about you case there the case number is

    needed, but even the response that was received for one of the applications didn't have a case number in it.

    Should we get an InfoPass and try to inquire in person or wait some more?

    We are doing the same thing for our son,It will take 30 days plus to receive an appointment letter.

    Do not go to usis without a letter or case number they will turn you away and tell you to wait for a letter with a date on it.

    I filed for a n600 for my son last week,I am a zimbabwean born and so is my son, however his biolodgical mother is a Us citizen ,so we filed here in Kansas and the officer told us all looks good and we should be complete with his citerzinship within 3 months.

    Once he is approved he will get a certificate of citerzinship which will allow him to get a passport.

    Me on the other hand i am filing for n400 and i am to the point were i have to go for biometrics.

    03 .14.2010 CHECK WAS CASHED AT PHOENIX OFFICE

    03.17.2010 RECEIVED LETTER STATING PACKAGE WAS RECEIVED AND WAIT FOR LETTER FROM LOCAL kANSAS OFFICE FOR BIOMETRICS. :dance:

    Todat i checked my status on line and they are asking for request for evidence,I have not checked my home mail yet this makes me very nervous.. :unsure:
