  1. Wife was just handed her certificate, I checked it over for errors, wife was too excited, and we left. A lot like receiving your US passport via the mail, you sign it at home. Both want you to sign it exactly the way your name is printed, but in cursive hand writing, says that on either the certificate or your passport.

I don't know if she practiced her new single word signature before we got married or stayed up late at night developing it. Very artistic and she is proud of it, but she wanted to sign both her certificate and passport that way. Just said, it doesn't say that, and what if you are denied entry because some guy doesn't like the fact you didn't sign it the way you were told to sign it. So I made her practice signing her three distinctive first, middle, and last name exactly the way it was printed on her certificate and passport.

Could or could not be a problem, she argued that she signs checks and credit card statements with her own signature, I said that is not a problem, doesn't say how to sign it. Could even get by with an "X" for all I know.

ok, so how's your wife sign her name?did she signed it in single word?is that single word is the same like how she sign her photograph?

  3. I'm having my US Citizenship interview next week , and i noticed on Part 8G. Prior Spouse's Family Name, i put my husband exwife last name given maiden instead of my husband last name.Did i fill this up wrong?Do this questioned me on the divorce paper i submitted because on divorce paper it shows my husband Last name on my husband exwife name.I just copied my husband G-325a when i was filling my n400a.Please i need some inputs , im worried about it now. thanks

  4. Hi,

    1. I suggest you make photocopies of all documents they asked for, but they will not take any of the originals - they ask for them to make sure they can see it and a lot of times they don't even ask for them during the interview. Be prepared and just have copies and suggest to them that you have copies to show you are prepared and that will give them a good feeling.

    2. Not sure when USCIS officers open but if your interview is at 7am, then they must open at 7 or earlier. From other people who have been through the interview, it takes as little as 5 minutes and I've heard people were done in 15 minutes. Make sure to ask the IO when you are done if you can take the oath on that day because sometimes they will get in your name in the list.

    "thank you for your reply"

  5. i got the letter from my interview appointment for my N400 application and must bring the ff with me on my interview:

    .letter

    .green card

    .passport

    .marraige certificate

    .divorce paper

    .spouse birth cert.

    And it says:

If copies of a document were submitted as evidence with your N400 application, the originals of those documents should be brought to the interview.

My question is do they keep the original papers that i will bring to my interview or do I still need to photocopied all the originals that im bringing if in case they will ask again photocopies of the said documents?

My appointment schedule is at 7:00 AM , what time the USCIS opens?how long the interview process it will take?

  6. I filed my N400 application one week before my Green Card will be 5 years.Im married to a US citizen by birth.Under information of eligibility(N400 Application Form), I checked box B..My question is it is better if I checked box A?...Is the USCIS care about this situation when I will go to the interview?

My friend has the same situation,is it better to Check BOX A, so she dont need to include documents on BASIS of marriage?.She had this documents ready anyway.

If she check BOX A, what I understand is she onlny need documents like photocopied of green card, photographs and the Filing fee.

    Any input will appreciated..thank you
