  1. Juliava and friends,

I received the biggest and most blessed news this year. First a text messgae came in that my case status had been updated then I went online to check what it said. Here is what the online message read:

    Document production or Oath Ceremony

On May 3, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I want to thank everyone for the support and encouragement.

For me I think the customer service phone call did it. I had not scheduled any infopass but was preparing to write to the congressman when this came through!! Its been a very long journey from an A2 visa in 1993 to F1 to B2 visa to marriage to a stokes interview on June 23rd 2009.

    .

  2. Congratulations Juliava,

It has indeed been a visa journey but I sm glad you finally got it.

so did you receive a letter in the mail or an email.

Do you think the letter from the Congressman's office could have helped?

I am still waiting to hear something from them.

Ladies and gentlemen, after a long waiting...here is the big news...:

    Document production or Oath Ceremony

On April 19, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a green card) or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, refugee travel documents or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

    :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

I just want to say thank you to everybody who encouraged me all this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The waiting is over! Now I just have to wait for the card to arrive!!!

  3. So today I called the USCIS customer service number 1-800-375-5283 just to find out why my status is still in review and yet I already did the 1st and 2nd interview. (My online status with my MSC number is stuck in 'initial review' for months now). The customer service lady was very nice and she informed me that my application is definitely outside the normal processing time. So she gives me a referral number and says that she will forward my information to the Local USCIS office handling my case and I should hear from them within 45 days. If I dont hear anything then I should call the customer service number again.

The overall phone call experience was very good and encouraging, the lady was polite too. I am hoping this is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Soila - I don't know how you have been waiting all this time. If I were you, I would schedule an infopass right away. I am sorry that you have to go through this. Keep us posted and good luck!!!
  4. Juliava,

been reading through your posts and do totally feel what you are going through. Sorry to hear about your predicament. I have a similar case though I have not made any infopasses. After our second AOS interview (i-130 interview) in June 2009. We havent heard back from them. During that interview the IO separated us and asked us a series of about 90 questions each and we got most of the answers except 5 minor discrepancies. She said she would contact us if she needed further evidence. Since then we havent heard anything. It has been 8 months. Thankfully my EAD was renewed about 3 weeks ago.

Case status online says in review for the last 8 months, not even the interview has been updated.

I am at a loss on what to do after reading through what other people have said, about making infopasses, contacting your congressman, do these really work???

Have lived in the US for 16 years on different visas, A2, F1, left and came back on B1/B2 then married and filed for AOS. Have a clean background and have 40 work quarters from previous EADs.

    June 2008 filed i-130/i-1485

    June 2008 Biometrics done

    Aug 2008 RFE

    Nov 2008 Case resumed

March 2009 EAD and AP approved

April 2009 notice of Initial interview recieved

May 19th 2009 Initial AOS interview performed and i-94 taken

May 21st 2009 Letter for I-130 interview received

June 23rd 2009 I-130 interview: no decision made

    Dec 2009: Renewal EAD submitted

    Jan 2009: EAD renewal approved

    Case still pending

I checked that and the answer is NO. It says "review" ONLY. Let me quote:

    Type of service requested:

    -- Outside Normal Processing Times

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action in the mail.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Does it say additional review in yours?
