Hi, everybody. I haven't been here much in the past year, since we got the CR visa approved. I was hoping somebody here might be able to answer a question for us.

My husband returned to his home country to visit his father, who is elderly and having serious health issues. While he was there, he decided not to return due to his own health issues, and unfortunately, I am not able to join him there, so we eventually filed for divorce.

Our question is this - if he has already left the country, and doesn't want to try to keep his permanent resident status, what, if anything do we need to do regarding the i-751? He has other family here, and he'd like to return in the future to visit us and them, so we want to do whatever is required to stay in good standing.
