  1. Hey Nungky,

One more question.. do we need to obtain and submit the police certificate for the NVC stage?

Unless you have lived/worked outside Indonesia, US excluded, for more than one year (though some posts on VJ said over 6 month is countable too) then it shall not be necessary to obtain and submit the certificate on NVC stage.

US government doesn't accept Indonesia Police Certificate with the same reasons that I mentioned on my previous post.

    Best of luck to you.

    Nungky

  2. No, you don't have to bring any police certificates in this matter.

US consulate in Indonesia doesn't request and probably will never request Indonesia Police Certificate as the credibility and validity of it is still questionable. You may have confirmation for this here http://jakarta.usembassy.gov/visa/req_docs_iv_interview.htmland here http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/ID.html#policerecords-4

As for someone who had lived in the US I believe US government has their own way to provide them the background check.

    Hope it helps.

  3. Greeting all,

I am about to get Certificate of Good Conduct and one of the requirements is introduction letter from the employer. I am Indonesian but has worked in Malaysia for more than a year. May someone gives me a light what the introduction letter from employer looks like? Is it the same with the letter employment that I signed when I joined the company?

    Your help is much appreciated.

    Thank you.

  4. hi all imma feb filer too. patiently waiting for NOA2. I wonder what's takin 'em so long! People who applied a month after me also got visas! What's going on!?!?!?

We are in the same boat, bunnyjax, I am a feb filer and still waiting patiently for our NOA2 too, looks like its quite random for the adjudicator to pick which petition they are going to approve for the day. Keep hanging there and never give up hope and faith!

  5. We might have to change the date of our NOA1 (surely it will effect our NOA2 too) because till today we haven't received the hard copy in the mail. We received notification by sms on March 1st that it was received in Texas and forwarded to VSC but without receipt number. Been calling the USCIS office for the receipt number and most the officers said there isn't number assign to our package yet and we have to wait for a specific officer to 'touch' our package. We try to remain positive as best as possible because we know it will be a long and windy road. Keep the faith, people!
