The first time Evans went in December 2010, they wanted more evidence. March 31st of 2011,I was the evidence. The man seemed happy but then started asking about my ex-husband,his whereabouts. I didnt know exactly where just the state. I told the CO but I guess it wasnt enough. The Co said that he will expedite the information and have Evans return on the 13th of April 2011. I had made some calls myself and got whatever info I could of my EX. His address, phone number, if he is with someone or living with someone. I gave all the information to Evans and hopefully that is all needed and he will join me soon. Over all, I dont think that it has been a bad process but very tidious. What does my EX have to do with my present love and future husband? This I dont understand!!!!! The CO knew that I was leaving on the 11th, he could had done it for the week before. The CO had a smile on his face, like it was an approval but then the questions of the EX:
What is Aqua Finance? ( Ex-husband debt thats keeps being mailed to my house)
Where does your ex-husband live? ( Told him the state Arkansas didnt know the town)
How long have you been separated/ divorce? ( Separated since late 2007 final divorce 2009)
Does your husband know that he is divorced since he wasnt present? ( This is the reason I belive that he wants to know the whereabouts. Ex husband knows)
What more can or do they really need to know?

As you have stated here" On March 1, 2011, the US Embassy in Accra will transition to a new nonimmigrant (visitor) visa appointment service." It clearly states VISITOR, that doesnt have to do with K1 visa.
-
Sorry...YES! They were just waiting on a couple of more documents from me and we were approved last week. He is picking the visa up at the embassy tomorrow.
Congratulations!!

Congratulations!!! When you do you leave to be with him? God bless you all and have a wonderful trip.

Update......My husband returned to the Embassy on yesterday to provide them with his police report. He advised he arrived early and was allowed inside around 7:00 am he advised he was called to window 3, he advised the lady didn't smile or say anything to him. He advised she just began pecking away at her computer, he advised he took out his police report and she held her hand out for it, he advised he handed it to her and she requested his passport. She advised him to remove his passport from the cover and submit it to her, (he complied) she provided him with a blue paper, to return in one week to pick up his visa. He advised he wasn't ask any questions. When my husband called me to deliver the news, it was around 7:33am his appointment was for 7:30am he was in and out quick. THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!! I HOPE OUR EXPERIENCE ENCOURAGES SOMEONE ELSE......BE BLESS!!
Congratulations!! I pray that it comes as easy to us March 31st ( 2nd time around)

Had interview today and the age difference was not a problem at all! They did not even address it.
I pray that it wont be the case for us this time. I really want him here with me and we miss each other so much. Evan though I will be there this time on March 31st.

Im so happy for the both of you. Congratulations and may you have a blessed life.

We are on AP but have an appointment on March 31st. They told us that we need more evidence of our relationship so I am going there to prove to them that we are very real and hopefully he will come home with me or I get pregnant again. Soon he will follow. All in God's hands. God bless everyone on thier journey.

I use rebtel and used it as our phone record evidence. Didnt have any problems with it. It showed my number as the primary so it matches with all the papers we had my number on.

Can it be that we werent together for 2 full years by the end of the interview that they are making us wait until then? Our 2nd anniversary of being together is next month.I know that sounds silly but this is the only thing we can think of. They have EVERYTHING imaginable in hand and all they asked for was WU reciepts. Go figure .

Hello everyone. Evans emailed me the paper they gave him from the interview. It asks for more evidence and waiting for ADMINISTRATIVE RESULTS
. They wont use take anything from after the interview date, thats what it states. So Im thinking of fly over in March and giving me as evidence and whatever else we can dig up. Will keep up with the updates. Thank you and I pray that everyone had a wonderful New Year. God bless you all.
-
Please take all you can because when my fiance went in december, i had sent him 4 pounds of evidence and apparently that wasnt enough. They want more when he goes back in March. Good luck and god speed. Enjoy your time with him.

I have family in NJ and my mother just returned monday morning. She was very lucky that her flight wasnt cancelled. Even though it would had been nice to have her for another day.

My finace went to his interview on the 21st. We know that we may have a 3 month delay but he will be here soon. All they ask is for WU reciepts, which he has, and they will approve the visa. All is signed and ready to go. God bless everyone. Merry Christmas to all.

Thats great that they gave you an early interview date. They are making us wiat 3 months for our 2nd one. Make sure you have ALL the tax transcripts needed. Good luck and God speed.

Sometimes the CO's in Accra get moody. We also had more than enough evidence (the CO told my husband that we had more than enough). He just wanted to see the letters we had written to each other which we had not included because we had emails and chats that were more than sufficient.
I must say that this is the first time I am hearing of the CO requiring to see the money transfer receipts in Ghana.
When Evans goes back, have him go with everything that he took for your interview and more stuff between the first and second interview.
Thank you, I will do that. We dont have letters cos as you said, we have emails. I will definitely send more this time. The first time that package weighed 4 pounds. How much more can some one send....lol

Part 1 of the Ds-230 but not the Ds-157.

As evidence, we gave them chats, emails, cards, phone records, boarding passes, intineraies and pictures. We gave them tax scripts for 3 years, paystubs, all the forms and all other requested items. They gave him back my paystubs and kept everything else. I have been calling the Embassy since 3am eastern time (8am Ghana time). I believe I will need to wait until 2p Ghana time. I just am not sure what they need because he has all the reciepts. It just doesnt make sense to wait 3 months, should i say 4 months ( March 31st). They didnt give him an color paper or anything so I guess we werent denied and thats a good thing! Keeping it positive and in the good Lords hands.
-
I believe that he meant to say DS-156. He told me that he had to print my name as well so I think that was the form. We had all the proof needed except for the WU reciepts. The CO just asked him to bring updated emails, chats and phone records when he returns on March 31st. Why so far away, that I dont know but I intend to ask him tonight. He was so tired this morning but I will keep you all updated. Thanks for everything. You guys are the greatest.

Good morning my VJ family. My honey went to his interview this morning at 630am. They let him around 730a. After he paid his visa fee ( $350 US ), 30 mintues later they called his name. A real nice gentleman. He asked him a few questions:
1. How did you 2 meet?
2. Does she have any children?
3. Do they live with her or on thier own?
4. Does she send you money, if so do youhave proof of it?
He answered these 4 questions, of course. They laughed and joke a little bit. The CO had asked him for any proof of me sending the him money. Evans said he had left that home. The man said "######". The Co said come back on March 31st with that proof and more relationship evidence. Had Evans sign a DS-136 and told him Happy Holidays. So Im guessing that the only thing holding us back and being together. Age is not a factor, so those that are worried about the age thing....DONT cos Im 20 years older then him and it went fine. One question though, what is a DS- 136?
2nd Interview
in Africa: Sub-Saharan

We were denied. Evans is going to email me the papers. Evans believes that it was our age difference. Hmmm, I knew that would happen. Its ok for men to be older but women, its a difference story. Depends how much older. Does anyone have an idea of which way is better to go? Should we appeal or should I just try to go back this summer and marry him? Any and all ideas will help. We will appreciate any suggestions. The ex husband thing was a stall tactic and was very unfair. Thanks again
