  1. I reside in Dumaguete, went to BI here thought i could just get the exit clearance here but the Immigration guy here said call ARD (alien registration division) we do not do that here only in Manila or Cebu, called both, they will not tell me how much its gonna cost for my two children to depart, Only thingon the phone he would say is bring there passports we need to compute it from when they was born. So after doing some research it seems we gonna get axed on some fees and penaltys, this link I read on VJ:

    http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Philippines_Specific_Immigration/Emigration_Requirements

( you'll be charged 300php per month overstay charge from birth until the time they depart the ) wow so your telling me its going to cost me near 10,000pesos, just wanted to ask anyone who maybe been through this, leaving Philippines with there newborn kids only with us passports and did you pay exit clearance at BI or at the airport, To me it sounds crazy that are kids born here in Philippines would be charged that much, any help from someone who has been there? pls help thank you.

  2. Im sorry, this may be a dumb question whats a ECC certificat for?

    Emigration Clearance Certificate (ECC)

At the BI Website it says:

    DEPARTURE

Filipinos with dual or multiple citizenship, who presented a foreign passport at the time of their admission into the Philippines may be cleared for departure without need of surrendering a certificate, permit or proof of payment of imposable immigration fees, provided, he/she also shows a genuine and valid passport and/or Identification Certificate. However, if the Filipino does not have a Philippine passport, an Emigration Clearance Certificate (ECC) fee of P710.00 shall be charged for using a foreign passport upon departure.

In the arrival, stay and departure of Filipinos with dual or multiple citizenship, where the Filipino presents a Philippine passport and a foreign passport, the arrival or departure stamp shall be stamped on both passports. In the foreign passport, the immigration officer shall put either of the following notations on the provision for the authorized stay in the arrival or departure stamp:

  3. Hello everyone...Hopefully somebody can share ideas/opinions or any experienced about getting an ECC certificate at immigration office either Manila or Cebu recently? We are leaving Philippines next month July 7 and I have 2 kids under 2 years old. They are naturally born here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, we were not able to get them a Philippine passport, they only have US passport. We were thinking that its too late now to get them a Philippines passport since we are leaving July 7 next month. What we are trying to figure out how much its gonna cost us to get a ECC certificate. Is anybody experience this kind of situation recently? We called BI in Cebu but they would not tell me how much.

Your reply's will be appreciated. thank you.

  4. Thank you all for the reply. I appreciate it. I have another question...

My interview will be on May 9 so I have to be there a day before my interview. I was planning to go back to St. Luke for my shots after I arrive in Manila on May 8 since I just finished my period. Do you think they gonna give any documents or a note that I can bring to my interview saying that I took my vaccines?

  5. I had my medical exam in manila last Monday April 23 - 24, 2012. When I'm already in the Immunization room April 23, the doctor asked me when was my last last period and the last contact with my husband so I told her that I don't have my period yet after I deliver my second baby last January 23, 2012. She told me that she will not going to give me some vaccines because maybe I'm pregnant, she told me to go back after 1 month of contact with my husband to take the vaccine or go back when my period comes. She told me to go back tomorrow to get the CD in the releasing area. April 24, I went back to the hospital to get the CD in the releasing area and told me that they will just send the result directly to the Embassy.

April 25, while waiting for my flight in the airport going back home, PERIOD comes. I thought to go back to the hospital to take the shots but I don't have enough time already and I don't want to miss my flight.

Having no vaccine can cause any problem in my interview on May 9?

  6. I have two kids with my foreign husband here in the Philippines. We are going to get them CRBA next month and a passport. My question is, What passport do i have to get, the US passport or the Philippines passport in order them to leave Philippines Or do i have to get them both US and Philippine passport? please answer my question. thanks

  7. Added Info: We was told here in the Philippines by a travel agent we needed Philippine passports for are children, I thought they just needed the CRBA (FS-240) which we still need to do as well, Just trying to figure out what the NVC and the US Embassy here will need when my interview comes. Which most likely will not happen till after are child is born, and does the CRBA (FS-240) need to be sent in with the IV-Packet to the NVC or is it just needed to be shown when I have my interview. Anyone been thru bring there kids along , any advice would be helpful thanks..

We been Married since May 15th 2010. Can someone help us do we have to wait to hear from the NVC or can someone here please advise us on which AOS form he needs to fill out and which form does his brother the c0-sponsor fill out, also he has not worked since august 2009 being on disability with TBI, so he does not have IRS records for 2011, 2010, only half a year from 2009, does he need to send something in from SSDI deposits from his bank account, really need some help. any advice would be appreciated thank you..
