Whew Man, for minute there, I thought you comparing a lying, deceitful, calculating, scam artist to a puppy, I am happy that's not the case.. Puppies are cute and cudly and dont have a single dishonest bone in them.. Anyhow, don't know why we got that impression, It couldn't have been because you posted on this tread about a lying deceitful scammer... Sorry if we mis-understood you...

I read the other thread.. Lets say for the sake of discussion only, that you gave out bad information.. Although I don't know you very well, you don't seem like the kind that would intentionally advise someone to do something illegal.. I think VJ is an Excellent resource that has tremendous value for all those involved in the Immigration process.. You may be taking drastic action in response to what happened on the other thread..
I hope you'll reconsider, and take this experience as a learning opportunity.. It seems like your intentions are sincere and hope you'll give this more thought..

I feel we're too hard on each other... Those of us who attempt to offer our thoughts and sometimes, we offer bad advise.. Let's keep this in perspective.. We aren't lawyers, but keep in mind that even lawyers offer bad and even illegal advise with the intention of lining thier pocket books and not so much to help others.. The majority of people on this forum have only sincere intentions to help.. We often are jumped on by other VJ'rs but nevertheless, the intentions are sincere..
I disagree with the way this whole issue was handled by katheryn, her response may have been a little too harsh. It is good the moderators point out when bad advice is given.. It may have been better handled a diferent way..
Dont Forget, This is a Free Forum that all can participate.. Unless VJ want's to restrict everyone from offering advice unless we meet some sort of prequalification, we just have to expect that some responses will be bad advise... However, people can and do benefit from VJ in a HUGE way.. I won't be the only once who'll say this, but for me, there is no possible way I would have gotten as far as I've gotten without the help of all of you.. I am extremely grateful for this forum... But I do realize, sometimes, I might get some bad information, so I need to review other resources as well.. I beleive my situation is typical across most others on this forum...

I consider everyone here as a friend, that doesn't mean that I dont have a life, it's just is a testiment of the good people I've met though various discussions and the motives each of us have here are simply to help each other thought this process..

I am not an expert.. Not many of us on here are.. I am, like most on this forum, learning as I go.. However, I would never state something in certain terms as I am not qualified. That is why I stated "I am almost certain that it goes like this" which you quoted... It did not say "I am Certain"..
I specifically stated "I think you should ask your lawyer to recheck his info".. I believe that it made the point that the info given by her attorney was questionable, but that at least she should do more investigation on her own. the other thing was, that my post (as others) are clear that the point is that she should check into the matter further..
In most forums, people state things with qualifiers such as "Almost Certain" to indicate more investigation is needed and the original poster should inquire more. Also it leaves room for others who are more familiar to add thier thoughts as well..
In my post, I made sure to mention that the thread starter should have her attorney re-check her info. So, please try not to be so critical to posters.. it keeps people from offering any help with that kind of critique. In addition, this forum as well as other forums are full of post with similiar suggestions..
Again, I respect your opinion, but keep in mind, this is a forum of "E"-Friends helping "E"-Friends...
