  1. i think you had to some how update the snn card even you keep your old one, when my husband becomes USC they told him that he had to update the card so that he is USC in the system. Although a friend of mine who came here 2001 as well does not have restriction on the card, when she applied for unemployment with H1b visa, they found out anyway that she is not greencard holder. So i think when you have time, its better to double check to make sure that you are not alien anymore in the SSN system.

  2. I print 100 pictures really cheap online CVS

you upload the pictures to the site and pick up after one hour at your choice location

really convenience. it is ready when you go there.

Once you sign up the website for the first time, you got free 50 pictures

and they got 6$ for 50 pictures deal right now.

i had to check out twice one for 50 pictures and another 50 by using 6$ for 50 pictures deal

so it only cost me about 6$ for all the pictures

and you can use printer only for paper printing. catriges are more expensive

  3. you sounds really well prepare :)

at my baltimore office, it seem like there are about 5 couples with lawyers and those lawyers know most of the io by name and know how they usually ask questions, what they like etc already, they got called quicker and the io would not dare to be unfair if you have a lawyer

if anybody could afford, having a lawyer will make things easier and smoother definitely

i was acutally jealous of people who has lawyer in the waiting rooms :)

  4. i think i had the quickest interview and weird one

our interview was at 10:30, we got there at 10:00

there are many couples and the room was full both for citizen and aos interview

and everybody was called when aroudn 11:30 except for us.

I went to reception and he said the IO who has scheduled to interview was so slow, it takes her about one and half hour for interview and they personally apologize for delay

They had to ask their supervisor that they are behind and she finally could meet us at 12:30

She was super nice, and very hungry and tell us " lets get you guys out asap since we already waiting so long and she wanna go for lunch too.

We talk about weather ( it rains alot) and she ask us about our wedding with 600 people .

we sore ( its like hight speed) and she ask my husband our meeting story and my proposal story. And also she goes over our paperwork ( the form) and she said we will get 10 years since we already married 10 years and our I 130 was approved already and there is no much she can ask.

since she didn't had time to check the whole package, she said she will review it later and make decision.

I got so shocked, i just wanna hear approved

she ask if we have any questions and I told her that I thought we would get the result today. And I showed her my album and give her some pictures ( lol)

and i also show some of the joint asset /liability

cos i don't wanna get later more info mail.

she told me this is really good

I ask whether she need to see my husband birth certificate and she said nope, the citizenship certificate is enough.

although i had a great feeling, i am still waiting on the result and still very " worried"

guys this is not what i was expected

I have six big folders since I had been to the states since 2001 as F1 student, and went home, come back for master etc

I had many i 20 and everything, she didn't even bother, she said she is good with what she has

I really hope to get the decision letter soon

    so I tol

by the way my interview was like racing cars and it took about six minutes :innocent:

  5. Congrat and thanks for the detail experience :)

    EAD recieved today :D

    We're approved!!!!!

We literally just got back home and had a champagne toast

    The interview was fairly painless.

Our interview was scheduled for 1:30 pm.

We got to the Lawrence Service Center at about 12:50pm, gave our interview letter to the front desk and were told to sit in the waiting area. (Different waiting room than for my biometrics last time)

We didn't get called in until around 1:50pm.

We had to spit our gums out into the IO's waste basket because we forgot(eventhough I had set aside two pieces of paper for both of us earlier :bonk: )

Then he swore us in and asked for both our passports and birth certificates.

He asked me for any and all passports and other USCIS documents ever issued to me.

I handed my one and only passport and my $320 replacement I-94  and he added my I-94 into our file.

And then I told him that I had lost my old passports and I-94.

He asked me if I had my previous EAD with me and I said I lost that too.

He asked me: "Do you lost everything ma'am?" and laughed a little.

    Then the interview started:

Questions to hubby (as far as I can remember-- it went really fast!):

My full name, My maiden name, Where I was born, Where and how we met, My previous address before we moved in together, What major I was studying when we met, Have we ever travelled together and where.

He asked hubby and me if we have proof that we live together, any joint finances, and pictures.

Hubby took out the photo album and I started taking out all the other papers.

He looked at some pictures and then told me I can keep all the documents I had just pulled out.

He didn't look at any of it, but we could tell he appreciated that we were so prepared and it seems he just wanted to see that we had other things besides pictures.

    Questions to me:

Who is the mutual friend who was the reason we met (hubby had said we met at a halloween party through a mutual friend), Where hubby lived when we met, Where did he work then, Where does he work now, Where did he move to after that before we moved in together, Have I met his parents, what is my GPA and do I have my college transcript (Panic!! -- then he said he was only joking  )

Then he went through the rest of my info on my g-325a and i-485 (including all of the yes/no questions), joking around here and there as he goes.

At the end of the yes/no questions he told us he is approving our application.

Then he stood up, got a stamp and put a big red APPROVED Stamp on the front page of one of our forms (couldn't tell which one, I think the i-130)

He said "as of this moment you are a legal permanent resident of the United States of America" I was so happy I could cry!!

Then he gave me the whole explanation of removing conditions and when I can apply for naturalization.

He spent a few more minutes (kinda awkward for hubby and I) just typing some things into the computer and then he told us to make sure my name is on our mailbox and that the GC will come in a couple weeks.

    And then we were done!

Hubby told me to tell all of you thank you for all the support, advice, and keeping me sane during this journey!! :luv::luv:

Best of luck to everyone else!!!!!!

  6. My interview is this week and I'm DYING of the nervousness. Anyone got any tips for me? Since I am adjusting from a B1/B2, I have very little proof. Especially as my EAD is not here yet and my hubby can't add my to his insurance or our phone bills or anything really. :S

    Good luck on your interview

    I need advice guys

We apply our paperworks with our in law address ( where my husband used to live) as we are not sure of our current address incase we moved etc.

I am listed at our current lease but our address on file is with my in law address.

Our houses are like 30 minutes a way, the same state

and we thought its safer to use our in law address where we partially live most weekend.

We basically live in two houses and my in law said they will say we live in both houses affadavit letter

Well this is so complicated because according to the law, we have to change address if we move

so should I tell the truth or just use our in law address
