It's been a while since I posted.finally after 16 months of waiting I have an interview coming up in January .it's been a long journey and I thank God it's coming to an end soon.

When did you file I 751?

I have both of our names on the insurance for both of our cars. We also have drivers licenses showing the same address.

The "old" life insurance policy is still in effect. It's a policy on my wife with me as the beneficiary. That was taken out before we sent in the I-751.

The "new" life insurance policy is on me, with my wife as the beneficiary. This was taken out 3 months ago.

Here's the part I'm a bit stuck on - I can have my name added to our main checking account, as they specifically requested something like that. But it wouldn't span the entirety of the marriage. Am I wasting my time getting an affidavit from the bank manager stating that although my wife was the only name on the checking account, that we have been handling our finances with them as a couple. i.e. we sat down with him 6 months ago to discuss refinancing but did not go through with it.

I can also have her added to my credit card accounts, and mine to hers. Again, am I wasting my time with this?

I have personal mail that is addressed to both of us from both my side of the family and my wife's. Should I send some of this? If so, should I send copies?

Remember, send them as much as you can... or you might end up like me, sent in the I-751 10 days after the GC expiration, responded to an RFE which was received 2 weeks later and now, being transfered to local field office for most likely an interview, not because I was unlucky but you just don't know what they are going to do...

Meh, I haven't slept for almost 72 hours now and my wife is start to think I lost my mind...

I don't know what RFE is. I hear the process takes pretty long, but I got a receipt from them within a week after I filed.

Again congrats, RFE = request for more evidence. I'm from Massachusetts too.I have been waiting for one 1yr now.but you just gave me hope that one of this days they will approve my case just like you. Did you go to Lawrence or Boston for interview?they only gave you 2weeks notice till interview?

Thanks nimaan,l responded to RFE with almost the same staff you responded with,can't wait to be approved and move on like you and others here,by the way l think we are from the same country

It's now 8 months since l filed the I 751 ,should l be worried or is it normal ?l did SR end of march and was told they are additional review ,what does that mean?
