Your husband will enter the USA with a CR1 or IR1 visa. There is no need to adjust status, because the permanent resident status will be triggered by his entry. Adjustment of status is for K visa intrants. It does not apply to your husband.
Oh thank you so much that is what i was wanting to know
-
I know the first thing to do is get him over here but what is the next step in getting him to be a permanent resident. I thought i read somewhere that he has to go to a place near where we live and it cost $1,000. That is why i am asking so we will be able to have that money and start saving now so it wont hit us all at one time and hurt us.

Hi, That's Fantastic!! So Happy for you Can you please tell me what website you found that ticket deal on? Thanks
I bought his ticket on www.onetravel.com my friend told me about it. I am glad because i was about to buy a ticket for $822.
-
THANKS YOU ALL VERY MUCH
I can't tell you how happy i am right now and can't wait for him to be here. I bought his ticket today and i am glad i didn't but it yesterday. Yesterday all i found was $822 and i thought oh wow that is cheap. I wish i could but it now. I looked at diff sites today and found a ticket for $728. I was shocked to find this. I thought it was funny because i checked the site already but only checking one way tickets. I checked same day with round trip and it was so much less. One way was $940 and round trip $728 LOL. Well anyways me and his daughter will be picking him up at the airport April 21. WOOOOOOW i'm still in shock.

My husband just called me and told me he got his visa
-
first : congratulation
second: as they told him he will get his visa in two weeks , it means he does not have the AP process. cuz who enter the AP no one tells him that he will get his visa in two weeks or more they tell him, we will check on ur case again and here the website to check over ur case
so ur husband is out of the AP and thats awesome
last: now u should look for the ticket and airplanes and when he is ready to leave and go to hug his wife and his daughter
thats all what u and him should think about
congratulation
Thanks so much. Really i got tears in my eyes reading this reply. We are very excited and want to buy the ticket now but we need to come up with the rest of the $.

My husband had his interview April 6, 2011 and they told him he will have his visa in two weeks. After he gets his visa what are the next steps????
-
You have to be patient. I filed for a fiance visa in 2008 with my now ex in Morocco and that took a year almost exact for him to get approved and get his visa to come here. I am not married to a wonderful man in Egypt January 31, 2010 and we filed our I-130 March 2010. He just had his interview a week ago April 6, 2011. It has been really hard to wait all this time and i do understand how u feel. We now have a 4 month old baby girl and he was not here to see our first child born and has missed some of her life. Only gets to see her in video cam but knowing that he will be here soon makes the wait worth it.So just hang in there and don't let the stress and worry take over your mind. Keep yourself busy.

At last, finaly getting some straight answers and good news today.
As for some of US waiting for the Cairo Embassy to reopen, here is some information I got today from the Cairo Embassy and NVC.
- Cairo Embassy: said they would be opening mid April
- NVC: said they are already rescheduling interviews that had been canceled and setting new April & May interviews for the case completed at NVC
Now if only my case would be completed some time this week. Inshallah, soon we will get news in has.
Where did you see this?
-
I wish you the best of luck and in god will you will be together again soon. I was just wondering when your case was complete at NVC?
We got the email Dec 30, 2010 saying
The enclosed information pertains to FNU REDA ELSAYED's interest in immigrating to the United States of America. The National Visa Center (NVC) has completed its processing of FNU REDA ELSAYED's petition and forwarded it to the American Embassy/Consulate in CAIRO
An immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in CAIRO on Februaru 17, 2011 at 07:30 am

oooooooooooooh, it touched my heart
they r awful. keeping the family apart from each others
Yes we were only 2 weeks away from his interview and they closed. His interview was supposed to be Feb 17 and we were going to try to have him here by the end of Feb. He already missed the birth of our first child. I don't want him to miss any more important moments in her life. Like when she starts crawling, first step and first word.
We both hurt so much because of this waiting and cry so much but i know all that we can do it wait and know in my heart that we will be together again soon. That this is only a small bump in the road of spending the rest of our life together

We were supposed to have out interview Feb 17 and we are still waiting to hear from the embassy
-
Yes it needs to be unopened and hand carried with him to his interview
-
Well they need to hurry because my 3 month old daughter needs to know her father

I have only used western union to send money to my husband in Egypt from Texas and if you do it online it is $20.00but if you go to a location it is only $11.99. My husband says that there is not many moneygram places so it is hard to get money when you send it thru them so he has always told me western union.

I got a email from the embassy this morning
Dear Applicant,
Kindly note that visa operations are still suspended. The embassy hopes to resume some visa operations by the end of March. Your appointment will be rescheduled, and you will be contacted directly. If you are not contacted by end of April, please send us your telephone number by email at ConsularcairoIV@state.gov.

Sorry to bother you but i was just wanting to know if there was any news about the embassy opening and starting to reschedule interviews yet?
Also i was wondering what is my husband going to need to bring with him to the interview?
Thanks for your help

Where did they say this???

I am a american citizen who is married to a egyptian. I went to Egypt January 20, 2010 and we married January 31, 2010. I came home to Texas Feb 8, 2010 and filed our visa March 15, 2010 and i then went back to Egypt March 18, 2010 and i became pregnant around March 22, 2010. We were trying our best to get all visa stuff done correctly and fast so he could maybe be here for our first childs birth but that didn't happen. I had our daughter December 12, 2010. I was lucky that the hospital had wifi and i was able to talk to him while i was there. We finally got a email in the beginning of January 2011 with the date of his interview. His interview was supposed to be Feb 17, 2011 but ofcourse as you all know it is on hold. Our daughter is now 3 months and has not met her father. I would love to have him here before he misses anymore important moments in her life like her crawling, first steps and even first words. I really miss him and this is hard on us both being so far apart but it is even harder for him to be so far from his wife and first child. He has already done his medical exam and all his shots so now we are just waiting for that email or phone call giving us another date.
Is it true ? (Do they send someone to investigate during AP?) [edited title]

Wow i have never heard of this. As you know we didn't have to go through AP and we had no problem. I in the past had filed a fiancé visa with my ex in Morocco and my husband now is 25 and i am 31. So i am happy that didn't happen with us. That is scary to know someone might be watching you at all times. Watching your every move.
