  1. Pakistan does not have Electronic Processing, what this means is NVC must physically receive the documents whether from the United States or outside of states. So you can email your father but your father has to send in the IV package via USPS, UPS or Fedex to NVC directly.

This is what IV Package usually contains

    IV Packet
    a. Bar-coded cover sheet (You get this from CEAC Website)
    b. 2 Passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary (name, dob, and case number on the back)
    c. Photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport
    d. Photocopy of birth certificate of the beneficiary
    e. Photocopy of marriage certificate of the beneficiary (If Married)
    f. Photocopy of police certificate(s) of the beneficiary, (in some countries this is not available)
    g. Photocopy of divorce decree of the beneficiary's prior marriage(s), (if applicable)
    h. Photocopy of military records of the beneficiary, (if applicable)
    i. Photocopy of Court records, (if applicable)

This website should answer more questions regarding Electronic Processing. Basically only a handful of countries are allowed email processing of documents. Pakistan is not on the list of allowed countries for Electronic Processing.

Mash Allah this is very helpful and once again bro thanks alot for helping me out in this matter, May ALLAH (S.W.T) gives you great future life and health stay safe and happy always bro.

  2. W-Salam bro,

Your agent can submit docs and fill out the DS-260 on your behalf.

It is preferable to submit documents as soon as you receive them. You never know what NVC might ask. And yes you are right regarding NVC asking police certificate while the Islamabad Embassy only requires it if you have lived outside of Pakistan.

Regarding documents, You can send them directly to NVC or you can send them to your father and then he sends them to NVC, it doesn't matter which route they reach as long as they reach NVC.. I believe now NVC only requires photocopies and you bring the originals to the interview so you can just have your father send the IV package and bring the originals to your interview.

    Good Luck

Thanks alot bro you cleared so many things for me which I have in my mind but still one thing remains un answered which you mentioned previously about no email processing via pakistan but my father can send those docs via email right?.

    Regards

  3. Alright Mansoor i'll try to chime in,

First of all Electronic Processing is not going to work for Pakistan.

If your father is the Petitioner then the best way to prove the relationship is via Birth Certificate. Having an Original Nadra English/Urdu Birth Certificate makes things easier, but a older version(urdu only) will also work. You will need it translated.

Islamabad Embassy doesn't require Police certificates for Pakistan but it is always best to have a police certificate of the places you lived after the age of 18 in case they ask for it.

If you are done with your I-864 package, send in your IV package and your case should move on to get scheduled for Interview at the Embassy of Islamabad.

    Asslam o Alaikum bro

Thanks alot bro for your infor on this and I have the translated version of the birth certificates but I read in the isl us embassy website provided list of docs require that the police certificate is required to be send to nvc. So I make my father agent too on my behalf who deals with the NVC so in this scenario can my father fill up the Form DS-260 too and they provided the link too to that form after the fee for iV package is confirmed by NVC.

One more thing bro which I want to know from you that my priority date will get active in about 3 months from now, Can we send the all docs with the filled form DS-260 after a month from now? will that be ok as I have to arrange the police certificates in that period.

Since my father is an agent too on my behalf do I still have to send the docs with the filled DS-260 in hard copies from Pakistan or my father can do it online from states?.

    Regards

    Mansoor

  4. Fee has been paid for IV Case but it shows in progress, I have few questions will NVC sent the checklist of what civil documents to be sent to them or I have to check from the NVC website specific to my country approved documents. Plus my petitioner is my father so do I have to submit the forms which are related to like marriage, death certificate etc.... or Do I have to simply sent my Birth certificate, Police character certificate. One more question is it and faster way to sent the documents via email processing method or conventional mailing method, Keeping all the documents with their translation into english from native language it's very hard to keep all the file sizes under 5MB, Any method to keep the file sizes under 5MB?.

What is the meaning of this do I have to add affidavit of someone who is elder then me at the time of my birth like my father?.

    Relationship Documents IR1/CR1

    Birth Certificate

    Before 197-

Affidavit of elder/someone alive at the time of the applicant’s birth

  5. hi

nope you have to wait until they contact your dad, if call, they'll only tell you to wait

if your dad doesn't receive anything past your priority date, then call

But I heard that NVC contact the petitioner and beneficiary few months before to save the time which consume while submitting the docs send by beneficiary which NVC demands through checklist. One more thing I wanted to know that the docs which NVC asks to submit do I have to submit their photocopies just like I submit at the first place when USCIS asks me to submit few year back or I have to submit their original copies.

Plus what type of documents NVC usually asks to submit can you enlighten me on this thanks.

  6. Hello to all respected members of the this awesome platform

I have a question if any body can guide me in this I am the beneficiary and my priority date is about to be active within 4 months, How to contact NVC is it better to let NVC know about my case whose priority date is about to be active to save time or they will contact us when the date is active, I am confused please help me out thanks to all in advance :)

    Best Regards

    Mansoor

  7. Why u want to upgrade, F2B is 8month away from F1, F2B re moving faster than F1

But still can you tell me can I submit the documents to US Embassy Islamabad in Visa Immigration Section to upgrade the case status, will this upgrade the case. And moreover this is temporary I think in history this never happens so in my opinion this will remains for a very short time and F1 will catch up or even surpass the F2B dates.

  8. Helloo everyone

My father who is also my petitioner now he becomes a USA Citizen, Now we wanted to upgrade the petition status for upgrading our case category from F2B to F1 and for that he send his Nationalization Certificate copy and my NVC case no which is now in NVC currently. Case is US Embassy Islamabad with ISL case number in the start.

Now my question is this can I send the documents to USA Embassy for upgrading the Case Status instead of NVC.

    Regards

    MJK

  9. Hi I have one question my Original birth certificate is not in English language and the question is that I will translate the original certificate into English and certified it from notary public is that enough if I send the attested Notary public copy along with original birth certificate?.

Same will be the case in all other documents which are not in English language?.

Is this method good enough for NVC?.

  10. Hi to everybody I have a question regarding PCC getting from two places because of my (NIC) National

    ID Card mentioned addresses.

On my (NIC) National ID Card two addresses are mentioned one as a permanent address which is my

village address where I never live permanently, but only as a visitor to spend holidays and the

other address which is a different place where I lived permanently since my birth, but this 2nd

address mentioned as a Current address where I lived strange for my likings but that's how it have

    right now.

So now my question what should I write in the DS-230 Question No 30 answer about on how many places

where I lived because of my NIC where it is mentioned my village address as a permanent address and

there I never lived for more then 7-10 days at one time and that too very rarely in years time.

Should I only mention my 2nd address which mention as a current address where I lived since my birth

and get my PCC from village Police Station also as well as from my 2nd place area, can I do that and

get two different PCC from two different places in my case.

Please anyone give answer according to my case and situation. thanks in advance.

  11. Hi to all I have one confusion and that is this that I mostly lived in one place city in my life till today and as a child I often used to visit my village which is out of my city district for spending few days of holidays let's say each visit consist of 5-7 days maximum for each visit out of my city to my village.

So I have learned if a person stays more then 6 months on another place instead of it's current living place then he will have to get a PCC from the 2nd location also, now my case is different I never till today stays in my village for more then two weeks at most, and my all visits if counts then they will cross the limit of 6 months easily but remember not consecutive in different parts times I stayed there just for spending holidays, so do I still have to obtain PCC from my village Police Station?.

  12. I find out this link and get to know that there is a Invoice Identification Number which one have to get it by calling NVC but they didn't give to you in the first try as I read in different forums they make excuses of unavailable service these days etc..

Let suppose if I able to get that no by giving my details to the operator then still how I gonna pay that fee online ? there is a site to pay online https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx in the next step after submitting the no how I able to submit the fees as some one said that they don't accept credit card and I also have no account within USA and I live outside USA, I am the beneficiary and the petitioner who is my father doesn't know well how to operate computer and this online payment stuff, so that's why I am asking and wanted to know is there anyway that I can able to pay all the fees from outside USA from Pakistan where I live.

  13. Hope this will answer your questions.

When your priority date is about to become current, NVC will going to contact you to start your processing.

Usually, NVC will try to contact you 5-6 months before your priority date becomes current.

They will tell you to prepare and submit all of the required paper works(example are choice of agent, affidavit of support, filing of DS-230 form etc)

Once all of the paper works are completed, they will schedule you for physical and interview.

Take note, NVC will only schedule you for interview if your priority date is current.

Even though all of the paper works are completed but your priority date is not current, NVC cannot schedule you for interview.

For now, F2B category priority date is May 01,2003.

You got a long way to go.

Be happy for now since it is moving fast.

    Priority movement is erratic.

Sometimes it is moving fast, sometimes it doesn't move at all and worst it retrogress or moving back as long as 3 years.

Thanks dear for your reply so from your message I come to this conclusion is that if this pace maintains and my Priority date becomes current let say in next 2 years for example than my process of submitting documents and Interview in the US Embassy will be started and NVC will contact me no matter how quickly the priority dates of mine becomes current. Moreover can you clear me is that quota issue gonna create any problems for me even though my priority date will become current in that case what should be the outcome of my case?.

  14. the numbers are going fast but not NVC. my PD is current from june2010 but i have not recieved my wife visa number. so you can imagine how fast they are?!!!!

her case was aproved and was sent to NVC in first week of april 2010 now almost 3 months later still waiting for the nvc to asign me the visa number.

mansoor you might not have to wait 7 years like before. i wish it can happen in 2-3 years

my brother is in same boat PD date is august2008 applied by citizen sister. i recived his approvel from USCIS few months ago.

for LPR things are not that easy like for citizens. my case was applied in 1997 and got my green card in 2007 took 10 years. long painfull time.

Hi how are you hope you are doing fine thanks for your reply dude well I hope and pray that your wife can be processed instantly and quickly earlier than it was originally expected. Well dude you are right this wait does takes it's toll on the persons who are waiting in the list, so in your brother case it has 4th F4 category whereas mine currently is F2B unless my father gets USC which he will get when the time comes which is still 4.5 years away from now so for now I have to assume that I belong to F2B category and have to see the dates according to these dates.

Can you tell me that when exactly your brothers petition filed earlier, because the long in F4 category is way too long for anybodies likings, and what was your best guess by judging the fast pace moving cases in visa bulletins that how quickly your brother and my cases will be processed?.

Take care brother and good luck in your brothers and wife case I wish them both best of luck and will pray for them to be with you as a family soon.

  15. I think your confused. the visa bulletin does not belong to the NVC, the NVC uses the visa bulletin just like any other office. It will depend on how fast the visa bulletin goes. the dates can get stuck or stagnant or move back. That's why it can take many years. The only way it can take less is if your father becomes a USC. for children over 21 of a USC it takes around 6 years of waiting.

Mine took 5 1/2 years of waiting. My USC mom filed for me in 1999, and I was able to have my interview in the US due to the 245i law that came out in 2001, by paying a fine. I'm a unmarried child over 21.

So even if the i130 was approved fast, it will be sent to the NVC, and your case will be filed until the priority date in the visa bulletin becomes burrent, which will take many years of waiting. Nothing will happen to your case until the priority date becomes current.

and by the way, I'm Miss aleful, my name is Alejandra, Alexandra in English, or Alex for short.

Hi how are you hope you are doing fine really appreciated your response actually My Priority date is 17 August 2009 and I know the whole process which you have just told me in ur message but the confusion is that I am stuck in the dates which Visa Bulletins are showing i.e. now dates are moving so fast my question is if this pace of moving dates will gonna impact on my case which is in years 2009 that's what only I want to know, because judging only from dates it will hardly takes 3 years when my priority date will become current and then my process will gonna processed further to local US Embassy that's what I think only according to the dates which Visa Bulletins are showing on their site.

I know that every country and visa category has it's numerical visa limits, quotas defined and they have to give those under those limits and also there are cut out dates method which can be benefited for people in cspa cases and some close priority cases.

So please can you clear my confusion only regarding to the dates fast pace thanks in advance.

Last but not least thanks for your response and sorry for the mistake in your name and gender which I couldn't judge in the first place so forgive me for that if you can Miss Alexandra.

  16. I doubt your priority date will come sooner unless your father becomes a USC then after notification of citizenship, your class will be adjusted from F2B to F1 and then about two years can be removed from the waiting.

If you watch the monthly visa bulletins you can see how fast the priority dates are progressing...

The reason for the current seven year wait as you know is that there are quotas and the line is very long in front of you.

So what that means no matter how fast these dates are moving ahead if my Priority date which 17th August 2009 will come earlier according to Visa Bulleting Page what than, at that time will I be able to know good news from NVC, let suppose that date comes in about 3 years time according to fast pace NVC Bulletin page what should happened than. That's what I am more curious about.

And you are 100% right if my father becomes USC then two years will be less from the waiting time but it doesn't matter than because on a speed these cases are moving ahead it doesn't require to be happened as my father still has another 4.5 Years to get it's Neutralization Certificate and Passport so by than my priority date could've arrived by judging the fast pace of the cases.

Still now what will be the situation can you please clear this up for me highly appreciated your help and kindness.

  17. Please someone give me through answer to my question which I raises earlier but no one except Mr. aleful give me answer to my question which still doesn't clear my confusion so I am force to place my question again in a new thread.

In my case where my Priority date is 17 August 2009 will my case becomes current earlier than I initially thought and my case transfers to Local Embassy earlier or this quota issue still haunts my priority date to come earlier and do I have to wait for full 7 years more for my priority date to becomes current.

Please clear this my confusion I'll be very very thankful to all of you who knows the answer or at least have an idea about it.

  18. you didn't say who is filing for you. is it a LPR spouse. the i130 hasn't been approved yet? If not, once they approve the i130 you will get your priority date. usually the priority date is a few days after immigration receives your i130.

definitly after August 17th, depending on when USCIS received your case and processed your i130. Once it is approved it's sent to the NVC and once the priority date becomes available, the NVC will contact the petitioner to continue the process.

Hi dear thanks for your reply I now make my self more clear that my Father is the petitioner and currently he is a LPR Green Card Holder my Primary date is 17 August 2009 as it was mentioned in the approval letter and now my case is in NVC (National Visa Center) and they also assigned me NVC Case No against my petitioned and I also confirmed this via giving them a phone call from my side to confirm it.

Now my question actually was this that I noticed that for the past 10 months NVC Cases dates move forward exactly 2 years which is quite fast and if this speed maintains then my priority date will come within very less time, so if this happens is there any time limitations for those cases who filed in the year 2009 just like mine have to wait longer no matter cases dealing dates mentioned in the visa bulletin showing current only just because they filed later as compare to cases who filed before 2009.

So I have this odd confusion in my mind wants to clear this hope anyone of cleared it up.

  19. Hi to all I hope you all doing fine and great by the mercy of GOD Almighty.

I have little confusion so that's why sharing with you guys to clear them up your help in this will be very beneficial for me.

Q No: 1 My primary date of filing petition in USCIS is 17th August 2009 which I assume is my primary date and on this date when it comes in NVC (National Visa Center) case lines my case will active and they will start further process of immigration, that's all what I thought which I don't know that I am right in my assumptions are not all of you great people advice and help will be very beneficial for me in clearing my confusion.

Q No: 2 As of today I was seeing in Visa bulletin page that the cases are moving forward very fast in last 10 months 2 years of time goes forward and I counted that if this pace maintains then my Primary date will be active sometimes in next 3 years for NVC to start further process. So the question is that if the speed continues and my primary date will come quickly will my case will gonna processed further by NVC i.e sending notice for the choice of agents, sending DS-230 forms etc...

And I am quite amazed to see this quick speed which never happened before I guess if I am not wrong in my guess.

Your help is needed in clearing my confusion and doubts.

  20. Hi to all I have few questions which I want to ask which are as follows:

Q 1: What if the primary date for the F1 Category of US Citizen becomes current 2 months before and the Petitioner just upgraded the existing petition after becoming the US Citizen for the beneficiary so will that beneficiary be able to avail that current date chance at that time after the upgradation of petition or he have to wait for few months.

Q 2: How much time it will take for the Petition to be upgraded after getting the US Citizenship and after submitting the Oath Certificate copy to NVC?.

I hope to see detailed answers from the senior members thanks in advance.
