how was the interview experience?

Anyone know about this certified marriage documentation they want for the interview? I mean I have the origination marriage license, and also a notarized copy...what are they really asking for, a copy from the county clerk or something?

Received interview letter today..... interview on 05/20..

no updates on email or text,,,

now back to work to assemble all the required docs for the interview.

No word on AP or EAD yet

Same here... got my interview for 5/27, but no EAD or AP. The major problem with the supporting docs I have is that, I mailed my Passport in for renewal to the Indian Consulate in San Fran, and they are not doing anything to process it. So I have to go to my interview without a passport...talk about not a good situation. I guess I will have to take copies of my passport since it the only thing I have

Did you see my timeline? I've been approved for my greencard, and I'm STILL waiting for EAD in the mail...

Would you mind giving us some feedback from your interview? I am curious as to how it went, questions asked, any tough situations, were u seperated, etc?

Haven't heard anything either...Check out my timeline...did biometrics, but nothing since then. Just sitting at home, waiting, and checking online status everyday is depressing!

Im curious as to why u have 2 biometrics exams?

touches on I-485 (AOS) and I-765 (EAD) today, and I had my biometrics yesterday. What does this mean, what does this mean?

Not really...there have been a few in our January thread who either got their Green card approved without interview or had their interview before EAD/AP approval. The reason is that the EAD/AP and the Green card is processed at different offices. Hope this helps!

Thanks, seems weird some ppl would not have an interview? any reason for this? Does it depend if u came in on a F-1 vs. K-1?

Biometrics done today...anyone know how long it takes after getting bio done for the itnerview? Also EAD/AP is issued before interview right?

Ahhh no updates on my account since 3/10...seriously has no one touched my file? 3/10 was for biometric appt, and nothing since then. Looks like EAD/ AP will be super late!!!

Right now its taking approximately 60ish days from your NOA to EAD, biometrics to EAD isn't a sure thing as some people have been approved the day after their biometrics, some a month after, based on how close their biometrics was to that average date. (from what i've seen in the Jan filers group anyway)

Wow really. I thought biometrics and EAD had some link. So the biometrics is for the greencard? Or from Advanced Parole?

Yeah its the Indian embassy...not the greatest at processing things. Supposedly I have to submit my old passport, then they will issue me a fresh passport, and mail the old passport back to me as well..."supposedly" Processing time 2-3 weeks, "supposedly"

Anyone know how long it taeks after getting Biometrics done, to receiving EAD card?

So my biometrics is on Wednesday! Woohoo...but my passport is due for renewal. I plan on keeping my passport till my biometrics appointment, but plan to send it off for a new one after that. Does anyone see a problem with sending it off while waiting for AOS? I figure I am not going to hear anything after biometrics for awhile, so it safe to send off the passport. Any thoughts? Figure a new passport should take anymore than 30 days for the whole process!

I may have asked this question before. But I was wondering if anyone know how long after the Biometrics will we receive EAD? i.e. when should we start applying for jobs?

No touches...but already have bio date...guess they r jsut nto updating ur case status

they could be anything from taking it off one desk to another, to preparing to send it to CSC or your local office.

So i guess there is no way to get details on what they r doing?

I got a touch on I-485, I-130, I-131, I-765 on 3/2/10

Again a touch today I-130, I-131, I-765 on 3/10/10....

What does this mean? I thought my touches on 3/2/10 would mean biometric? But now the touches today on just 2 out of 4. I got my NOA1 on 3/2/03...but postmarked 2/26... So I am super confused on what these touches could be.

So sorry to hear that. I was a little concerned about that myself... and I had even posted the question a few posts ago... So could you not fly to FL and get it done there? I know its expensive to fly...but would that somehow solve the problem? And maybe the change of address would kick in eventually?

I filed for AOS 2/19, still no biometrics. We were thinking possibly moving after bio and receiving EAD/AP. Or should we wait till I get the green card. We are moving cos any emergency, we have the option to wait. So I didn't know if anyone would suggest moving after Bio? or EAD/AP is recv'd? or Green-Card? or Never

I didn't use any hand lotion and they had to keep doing that too, I think its to make the prints as clear as possible. Not having oil though would probably help a lot.

Other than blood pressure meds for dealing with security....What all do u have to take to the biometrics appointment?

Sorry to hear the security guy is such a jerk. But its great that you gave him a piece of your mind! I have been wondering about walk-ins and actually which centers allow walk in and how they work. Apparently walk-ins in your case is up to security guards...

Well i got my NOA on 3/4, but the Postmark on the envelope says mailed on 2/26. Now i have a touch on my status on 3/3, does that mean I should be getting some mail soon about Biometrics?
