  1. I cannot see what the problem is.

I married my wife in USA whilst I was over on a VWP in July of last year. I came back to England a few days later after we had got the ball rolling with I-130 for CR-1 application. Before getting married we took advice from Immigration. It was not a problem and a recognised way of going about things. It was easier for me to collect relevant data to send to them from here. I was able to continue with my career and visited my wife twice since with no problems entering for two weeks at a time.

I had my interview Friday 5th March and have been approved.

  2. oh thanks x yer i did that last time i travelled just in case and i guess should again then x just so hard isnt it and some days it feels so so much worse than others xx

I was in the same predicament and worrying.

I married my USC wife last July. I have been over twice since to visit and not a problem. It was ironic really. I used to have more hassle before we got married.

If it is any use to you, we filed on July 25th last year. I have interview in London March 5th. We had a slight hiccup back in October when they asked for further evidence. So who knows it may have been sooner.

    Good Luck

    Peter

  3. I have interview at London Embassy 5th March.

This appointment came through only days after NVC received my DS 230. It took me completely by surprise. What I need help with if anybody can supply an answer.

I had already booked a flight for 18th March to visit my wife in US. Planned to stay two weeks then return.

If I am successful on 5th, can I still make this trip? As I am not in a position to move out there permanently yet. I need to get a lot of things finalised this side of the pond.

Also I believe that your passport has to remain at embassy for insertion of visa. What happens if you need it straight away? As I will do as I do not live on mainland Britain and need passport to travel back home after interview.

Will be grateful for any assistance on these two points.

    Thanks

    Peter
