  1. Wow.. CSC must be rolling along.. Our NOA date was January 9th... Today I checked the status and it says .. as of May 20th Card Prodcution was ordered.. Please allow 30 days for it to arrive..... We're pretty happy... We sent in the bare minimum as afar as paperwork.. Bank account stuff.. affadavits.. sent lots of pictures... IRA stuff ... I was concerened that we would not have enough.. but it was enough... Andres our boy even got his card approved too... We had K2 children attached to Maria's application.....Thanks for all the support over the years.. This site has been a huge help and a big support.. Keep it going..

    Current Status: Card Production Ordered:

On May 20, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

  2. Looking back on our last interview our interview times were a few hours apart, but they took us at the same time. This time it is 4 days apart. I would guess if it's not to busy they will take us both at the same time. Archer, I am wondering who you spoke with about your appointment? I imagine it wasn't the national call center, I doubt they would be much help. Were you able to get a number to speak to an officer at the application support center before arriving or without a infopass?

We had to reschedule one of Maria's earlier biometrics appts. due to bad weather and at that time I called the National Call Center and they gave me the number for the local ASC. At that time I kept that phone number and the name of the IO who does the biometrics. This time I just made a call to the office again and they returned my message and she set things up very nicely for Andres and Maria to have their biometrics done. You should be able to get a contact number for the ASC you are going to get your biometrics. I made no Info Pass appointment but spoke directly to the ASC officer on the phone.

  3. Maria's and Andres biometrics were on scheduled for separate days... Marias was Friday and they scheduled Andres for the next Monday ....... I talked with the ASC officer by phone and explained the situation to her. She was very cordial and helpful. She was able to squeeze in Andres biometrics the same day as Maria's and actually got them in a couple hours ahead of their scheduled appointment. It went very smooth. If you have to travel a long distance or are under time constraints talk to the ASC officer where your doing your biometrics and maybe they can work with you on your appointment dates and times .. especially when you have children. Doesnt hurt to ask.. Take care....

  4. We sent my wife's I-751 petition to the Nebraska Service Center last week via Priority Mail with tracking. A few days later I checked the progress of the package and saw that it had been delivered to the NCS. This morning, while checking my bank account online, I observed that the $545 check had been paid. But...I noticed that the endorcement on the back of the check read "California Service Center." Does anyone know if all checks to the USCIS for I-751 processing go into the same account? Or was our case transfered to the CSC?

    Thanks.

Your case was more in likely transferred to the California Service Center due to the back log at the Nebraska Office. You should be hearing soon about your biometrics and that notice will come from the California office too. Hopefully it moves quickly for you.

  5. We rent and have no mortgage and our landowner has really no lease agreement. We 're from small town USA . I included copies of our auto insurance, our IRA's and bank statements along with copies of our taxes for the last two years with our ADDRESS on all papers. Plus we sent abunch of pics and anniversary card along with 2 notarized affadavits..... I believe there was some paperwork even from the local church with our address on it. I think each situation is different and the USCIS must treat each situation differently. Wishing u the best!

  6. Just an update on our proceedings.. We recieved a Verification of Inclusion of dependent in the mail today. It stated that Andres is included in Maria's lifting of conditions as a child dependent. He is able to work and travel for one year just like Maria. Looks like they will be able to get both their fingerprints and pics done at the same time. Still waiting for dates though.

  7. We just recieved our NOA1 for lifting of conditions and when we filed we listed Andres as the K2 child wishing to lift his status too as his approval was within 90 days of Maria's at that time. My question is will he recieve a seaparte N0A1 for himself for the lifting of conditions? The NOA letter only had Maria's name on it as as far as her greencard was extended for another year. When we get our Biometrics appt will Andres be able to get his fingerprinting done at the same time? We dont want to have to make two different trips to do biometrics. Any input on this from those who've had K2 children and had their status lifted. Thanks again..

  8. We recieved our NOA1 in the mail yesterday..... dated 1/7/08..... pretty quick and our case was transferred to the California Service Center. Must be due to the overload at the Nebraska office. Looks like they are working on cases as of June 2007 so we have a wait yet. Next step to get the fingerprinting done for Maria and Andres. Thanks for the help!
  9. Hello to all... back at this again.. its been a quiet 21 months or so.... Maria and I have just filed (1/3/08) our I- 751 papers with the Nebraska office. Andres the K2 child is also included in the paperwork also. Her conditional card expires 2/16/08 and Andres at a later date. I was wondering what kind of timeline a person can expect in receiving the NOA1 from the Nebraska office. I see where they're 'receipting' times are current and there is no delay as far as recieving the the petitions in their mail room. We've got over a month left before her card expires and would like to have an NOA1 before that 2/16/08 date.. any input would be appreciated..

    Thanks again ... :)

  10. Hi all,

Well its been awhile since we've had to deal with paperwork with USCIS but like everything else the time has come again to jump into the mix. I'm going to start putting together my paperwork for the lifting of conditions for my wife and her boy. I see where they are raising the fees again and I just wanted some clarification on the total I send to them when I mail it out. Would I be sending

545.00 for my wifes lifting of conditions (this includes the biometrics) and then another 80.00 for our boy's biometrics? Or is it 545.00 per person. I will be including him on the I-751 papers as a K-2 child. Thanks for the help. Travis Maria and Andres

  11. Instead of trying to call the misinformation line all the time and getting no where contact your Congressman and let them know your situation. They can be in direct contact with the FBI and give you heads up on when your background check clears. There is little you can do or the INS can do or even the FBI in a name background check. The INS officer told us that they have to wait for responses from all 26 countries. It used to be only 24 countries in the background check but that was changed just recently. Don't get obtuse with your Congressmen or women just let them know your situation and let them be your liason instead of trying to call the INS customer hotline and getting no where. You must be patient cause your background check will come thru.

  12. Maria's name check took almost a year. We started contacting the local Senators office and they talked with the INS and told us that there is nothing they can do as its in the hands of the FBI. We then went to renew Maria's EAD and during her fingerprinting an INS officer sat down with us and told us when the FBI does the name background check the name is sent to 26 different countries and they have to wait for a reply from each country before they can continue. So its up to the countries whom your name was sent to to respond quickly. Who the countries are and how they pick them I have no idea but they told us each case and name is unique and thats why people have different approval times. We were really getting tired of waiting until we got an official letter from our Senators office stating the FBI had contacted them and told them that Maria's background check had cleared. It was about 10-14 days later we got the email stating her case had been approved. It does help to contact your Congressman. Hang in there and yours will come soon. Now we are waiting on her son's approval as he is a K2. He didn't have any background check as he is 10 and they told us that his case would be approved with Marias as he is her child. We still wait.......

  13. Hello VJ'rs

Just wanted to let you all know that Maria's AOS was approved today after nearly a year for her Name Background Check thru the FBI. We've been getting help from our Senator's office and it looks like it was worth it. When I got home from work tonight my email was loaded with message notifications from the INS stating that the case has been approved and that their mailing out a card asap. Her boy who is 10 has his own case but we've yet to see his approval. The INS officer who interviewed us last June told us that his would be approved too when Maria's was because he was her child. Well now we can relax for alittle bit. The wait is over for now.. Its been a long journey with ups and downs and I'm thankful for this site for all the help. If your still waiting for the background check hang in there it will come.... we've waited a looonnnggggg time.... Take care :dance:

  14. Your probably waiting for your FBI name background check to clear. There are some who's background check gets done quite quickly and some that have taken a loooooooonnnnngggg time. We have been waiting since last spring. We were just notified by our local Senators office that her background check had cleared but we've yet to see anything from the USCIS. If we dont' hear of anything in the next week I'm going to contact our Senators office again find out what is going on. It irritates me that these things take so long. If you interested the background check consists of the FBI sending the immigrants name to 26 different countries and the FBI has to wait till they recieve a response from EACH country before doing anything with your case. Each case is individual as each name is individual and thats why some background checks take so long. The only way the could expedite your case would be if your immigrant spouse or other half was to enter the armed services or was drafted.... .......... :hehe: just hold on yours will come thru.

has anyone been to their AOS interview just to have them tell you everything is but they are still waiting on the fbi review? also im nervous because the lady said the she didnt have our file and their was an error on their part. she knew who we were and said we were approved but im just nervous. thanks for any help
  15. We've been waiting since June of 2005 and just Saturday we recieved an official letter from our Senator's office stating that Maria and Andres background check had cleared and that we will be hearing something on their AOS status soon. We were told by an Immigration officer that when the name check starts the FBI sends it to 26 different countries and they have to have a response from all countries before moving forward. I told her to watch and see that right after she gets her renewal EAD which she recieved last week we'll get a notice about her AOS and the 180 bucks spent will be for nothing.. well, its true... but where pretty happy that she's going to be getting a notice soon on her Green Card.
