  1. Wife just called....APPROVED!!!! (its the 22nd in india)

Oh my heart is racing and my face hurts from grinning! Im so happy!

They didnt ask my wife much. I think they threw her a trick question. They asked her when I moved to the U.S... answer is that i was born and raised in the U.S. Wife said the american lady became happy after she gave the answer. Then just asked what I did for a living and wanted to see few wedding pictures. Thats all.

    :dance::dance: :dance: :dance:

    Right on Jesal

  2. I know we're almost there! :) I just tend to panic. So, weirdly, I got an email this evening. I wonder if they have people working 24/7 even though phone lines and whatnot are only monday through friday? Anyway, they emailed me an RFE checklist, but here's what it said :

The NVC has received the requested Affidavit of Support form (I-864) for this case. However, we are

still waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230) and corresponding civil documents for each

traveling applicant to be returned to National Visa Center for review. You will find the DS-230 form

along with complete instructions for submitting the civil documentation required for this case at

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov under the Applicant Document Processing link.

We urge you to send in the DS-230 form(s) and required civil documentation for each traveling family

member in one package to the National Visa Center (NVC). Sending the information in separately may

cause delays in the processing of the case.

So i'm entirely confused now. I sent the 230, it arrived there on the 27th. And, the AVR even said the last time i checked it that the "biographic data" was entered on the 31st. so...hm. What do you all make of it?

I've gotten this exact same message...twice, exactly a week apart. The AVR says "missing or incomplete information", I called and spoke to a person who told me everything was OK and being reviewed as normal.

  3. Sweet, they assigned my case number!

But the guy on the phone wouldnt take my email address and said i would have to do everything through snail mail? What gives?!

Try calling them again Jesal, I actually just gave them my and my wife's email addresses about 5 minutes ago and I've only had my NVC # a couple of days. I spoke with a pretty nice lady on the phone, which I wasn't expecting for some reason.

  4. hello:)

First of all,Congratulations on your NOA2! :) and 2nd,i just wanted to ask you,how do you know yours was touched 3 times,if you had no email or text saying that and even the webesite is still saying initial review?!...i am asking cause we're april filers ours has not been touched even once since the NOA1(we figured if the date under intial review changed of when it was last reviewed then it was touched)how did you know yours was then?:)...Thanks:)

Hey, thanks for the congrats. The thing about the USCIS site is that the little blue status circles that are on the top of the page when you sign in to your account and click on your case # always said (and still do, actually) "initial review", but the little box with the "last updated" date was changing. I was always under the impression that we were to get email and text notification if someone had touched it, I've had the text/email notifications section turned on since NOA1. But, like others have said, maybe it's not working correctly.

  5. Thanks for the congrats people, I hope we see more Marchers approved next week  . Except for my wedding day, I think delivering the news to my wife when she least expected it today was one of the best feelings I've had. I was thinking I jinxed myself by getting those documents and things ready for NVC early like Lingche shortcut says. Thank God I checked my postal mail today, I'm usually a twice a week mail checker because all of it is usually junk. So everyone keep an eye on your mail boxes, and we're praying for you all.

And, you can dance around me anytime Ali.....I mean Teya. The information you post here is beneficial to many people. Hell, I may just join you and cut a rug myself.

  6. After 3 touches (July 9, 10, and 12), I received NOA2 in the postal mail today. Never received any type of email or text message regarding our case. The fact that the USCIS website still said "initial review" after the touches was driving me crazy. I don't mind waiting at my spot in line like everyone else, but I can't stand not knowing WHAT is happening. In all the feelings of happiness, I still don't think it's fair that we, March 19 NOA1 Marchers, got NOA2 before others here that had NOA1 dates well before ours. My wife and I are praying for you all, keep the faith Marchers.
