How bizarre! They recieved my I130 9/16/2009, and it's still in review. They recieved my 129F 10/20/2009, and it has been approved and sent to NVC 2/2/2010.

Do they just randomly grab papers out of a mountain of petitions piled on the floor there or what?

My K-3 petition for my wife was recieved 10/20/2009. Approved and sent to NVC 2/2/2010. She is from Brazil. No idea when we'll hear from the consulate about an interview now. Anyway, I hear that some countries screening process is different, could be one of the factors.

I'm talking about the National Visa Center, btw. The place they send your petitions before they send them to the consulate.

Guys, I think you are reading too much into it. It says the petitions have to have arrived at the same time for them to close out the K-3, does it not?

The reason I say this is because I just recieved notice from BCIS that they sent my approved k-3 petition to NVC. My CR-1 is still at the initial review stage at BCIS Vermont...and I sent that in a month earlier than the K-3.
