  1. They are referring to the NBI clearance. The police certificate they are referring to is if you have lived more than six months in a certain country (outside the Philippines). So, if you have not lived/worked outside the Philippines for more than six months since reaching the age of 16, then you should only acquire the NBI clearance with the note "travel to USA" on it.

Been there, done that, and I am also under F2B category.

Salamat sa information po., but the NBI clearance I secured only states, "Immigration Purposes." No U.S.A. stated.

  2. I received a checklist cover letter from NVC. I was instructed to correct some infos that are missing on my DS-230 form. The new form was already sent back to NVC. The NVC states on the checklist cover letter to wait 20 working days for processing. I want to know from anyone, what will be the next step of the process after NVC finished reviewing all the documents that we submitted. Currently, my priority number is current under F2B category.

  3. yes you should. I know someone who resided in Bulacan and received a checklist from NVC asking for police clearance from that place.

Yes I have one police clearance certificate secured from where I am living originally now, that's it. What I am asking, from other places that I stayed before here in the Philippines for more than 6 months. I want to know if I still need to secure police clearance certificates from those places or no need.

  4. Under F2B category, do I need to secure police clearance certificates from all the places or cities I've lived before for more than 6 months here in the Philippines since reaching 16 years of age or older? or this is only needed if the applicant stayed in other countries for more than 6 months or more as part of the documents needed prior to the interview. The only police clearance I secured was the one where I am currently residing this time, my hometown. Thank you.

  5. I want to know if anyone here encountered the same case that I have. I was filed 14 April 1998 under F2B category when my mother was still a permanent resident, but when my mother became US citizen my category became F1 category. Lately, my lawyer and I executed a letter requesting that I want to remain under F2B category and I was approved by the USCIS Manila to be processed back to F2B category. Upon browsing the net, I noticed at the Travel.State. Gov site of United States of America Visa bulletin for July 2012 here in the Philippines they are already processing under the F2B category applications that were filed 22 DEC 2001. I became current 3 years ago under F2B category. My lawyer said that I am still current that we need to submit some original documents to the National Visa Center so they can schedule me for an interview. In fact, my lawyer already sent forms to my mother, my petitioner, Blue form G-28 and White form I-864 to be signed. And my lawyer has requested verification of employment letter and 3 most recent pay stubs from my mother. I have this question at the back of mind, if I will have the possibility of getting a scheduled interview this year, 2012.

  6. Hi, I saw your ad here on VJ and I am shocked you've been waiting 11 years!!! You haven't talked to any immigration officials about your case? Really, I do not understand the system myself. My Dad is a resident here in USA for many many years. He sent his renewing passport since August of 2008 and he has not received any notice yet. The website says the same thing as yours, case received and pending. My parents have gone to talk to some immigration official, but they do not get any straight answers as to when he'll get his passport. Maybe you can talk with the senator or governor of your state? Sometimes they do help to get through the bureocracy/media. I did get in contact with my senator/governor here in Texas and somehow they were able to get through with the immigration. Otherwise, I think it might have been a longer longer wait. There's nothing to lose, but to try. Hope this helps? You can always email me if you have any other questions? Take care and have a nice day.

miredidi thank you for the informations.

Well you wouldn't go by the visa bulletin. Thats only until its been approved. You will go by the processing times for USCIS.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplay.do <----Click here and select the office to where your file is located.

It is likely that your case is outside of the normal processing times. So you'll want to contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center to put in a request, your father/petitioner will have to do this. 1-800-375-5283

Furthermore Miredidi, if he is renewing his passport with his home country then he would have to contact his home country a immigration officer in the US wont be able to do anything. Also, if he is a US Citizen a immigration official still has no control over the case. US Passports are issued with the Department of State. He'll want to get in touch with the Department of State, NOT a immigration official. http://www.state.gov

    Thanks, Good luck!

Cisexpert thank you for the informations.

  7. THERE ARE CASES THAT ARE WAITING FOR MORE YEARS..PEOPLE THAT FILL THE PETITION IN 1987 AND THIS YEAR IS THE YEAR THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON THAT CASES

I BELIEVE THAT THIS PETITION IS FOR A BROTHER OR SISTER OF A CITIZEN

    Hi estrellademiel,

Thank you very much for replying. By the way, My mother who is a US citizen filed the I130 petition for me last April 14, 1998. It’s been 11 years now, 2010 since my petition was filed and I heard nothing from them until now. I remained single until now, 34 to be exact because of this petition as advised. Last year when I checked my status online it says, Case received and pending. Please clear my head. Thank you.

  8. I am confused also, because you posted this in the spousal visa forum, but your info says you have filed AOS, yet the 11 year comment makes me think a parent or sibling petitioned for a visa for you? As PP said, wee need more information about what visa you are applying for, and where you are in the process.

    Hi Penguin_ie,

Thank you very much for replying. You're right I posted my concern in wrong forum. I posted it back to Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America forum. I hope this time I am at the right track. By the way, My mother who is a US citizen filed the I130 petition for me last April 14, 1998. I added additional infos in my other post under Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America forum. Last year when I checked my status online it says, Case received and pending. Please clear my head because I'm really worried about this. Thank you.
