  1. Hi all,

My husband filed July 2014 had his interview on Jan 22, still waiting for the oath letter. The online status is not showing any new updates, a week after the interview it changed to oath has been scheduled and then it changed back to Interview has been scheduled, which is a little strange. We contacted the 1800 number but they are not very helpful.

I know we have to wait but we have seen others that apply after him that had the oath scheduled. I just dont want the letter to get lost

He had the interview in NYC, anyone else from this area going through the same?

  2. My husband filed in July 2014, had the interview on Jan 22 and passed. When we checked the online status a week after the interview it said that the oath was scheduled and now it shows that he was scheduled for the interview. How did that happen? When we called the 1800 number they said we have to wait for the oath letter and it could take up to 3 months.

We really need to to go on vacation before April when my vacation time expires (can't roll over) but we are afraid the letter might come on the mail while we are away

  3. My husband was schedule for his interview @ the Long Island city Office on Jan12 but we received a call on Saturday the 10th and they told us that the office was going to be close and the appointment was goint to be held at the Federal Plaza office on the 22nd.

We are nervous because we have not heard good comments about that office, so I am taking the day off from work to be with him.

Does anybody know what additional documents we should bring besides the ones with already submitted with the application? I am bringuing original and copies of our son's birth certificates, his passport and gc, our birth certificates, my naturalization certificate, divorce decree from my previous marriage, bank statements, apartment lease, utility bills, health insurance cards and car insurance cards.

Wish us luck, we will keep you updated

  4. UPDATE:

My mother got her interview today and she was asked the following questions:

    Who is the petitioner?

If she was separated from her husband?

When was the last time she saw the petitioner (me)?

When was the last time she travelled to the US?

Asked for my original birth certificate and her passport pictures

The consul said Congratulations you've been approved, pick up your passport and envelope in 10 business days and she returned a file with extra documents

They did not return the only document I needed my original marriage certificate

But I can't complaint, my mommy will be coming home soon

Thank u all for the support and good luck

    :D
