hi everyone,I am just a tad later then I wanted to be in getting this sent off (my expire date is 01/20 2013). I have everything ready to go. just wondering though the best way to send the package. can not remember for the life of me how I did it before. if you could remind me as to which is the best way to send - I would greatly appreciate the information.

Thank you very much, I just want to make sure that I get this right.

I have not been here for a bit (ok two years). Everyone on VJ was so helpful so I thought maybe I could get some answers for filling out the I-751. I was reading and it said that I could include my son who came over with me on a K2 visa and that I would only need to send in payment for one of us. Just wanted to make sure that this was correct. I want to make sure that it goes somewhat smoothly.
Thank you

i have received three emails and three text messages. so I am assuming that the first was the NOA that I just received saying that I my AOS has been approved, the second would be the actually production of the card and I am hoping the third is the actual sending of the card.

Just to let everyone know, we had our interview and everything went soooooooo well. My husband and son were making fun of me because I should have brought a wheelbarrow with me to carry all the paperwork I brought. (ok it was only the stuff that they had on the check list, but I had envelopes for my son as well as mine)
I am sooo happy

Just had interview on Thursday and was very worried about the vaccination records not being transferred on to the I-693. Alhtough with my application I had submitted a copy of the vaccination report received from the medical done in Canada. Also, if your medical was done within the last year you do not have to get another one. I had found this information (somewhere, right now I can not put my finger on it). They did not ask me for it at the interview.
-
thank you! We have our interview one right after the other. And really I would not let him go by himself . His paperwork is in order, even have pictures.
thank you again, lets keep our fingers crossed that everything goes well.

Just another one of those quick questions. I have found information on what to expect for a AOS interview for myself but what to should we expect for my son, (k-2 visa holder). His appointment is before mine and I was just wondering some of things he can expect to be asked.

Biometrics is finger print and a photo That's all, a pretty painless procedure (for most)
and still no bio appt...I wonder if they just use the stuff from my EAD?
Funny thing though I got a letter from USCIS wondering if we were abandoning our visa application?
This is because we took the K3 as it came up sooner than the full CR1 and we decided to hold off for a while on AoS. So I'm going to have to send them a letter back with AoS receipt number and all the info. You'd think USCIS NH would communicate with MSC?
Brandi
Thank you, just was wondering if it was anything more then that. that seems painless enough.

We received our biometrics appointment letter, 11/12/10 - but I was wondering to all that have gone thru it, what do they do exactly for this? My son keeps asking and as far as I know it is just more fingerprints, more pictures and that is as far as I know. We are scheduled for 12-2-10 for our appointment.
Any information would be great

yet another one for october

That is the litle card that migration give you at the moment that you enter to US. And says till when you can be in the states.
lol, no I got that part - which number is it on that little piece of paper - is it the number in the left top corner or the numbers along the bottome lol
-
I know this is a really stupid question but I need to ask. The I94 number - which one is it?
-
so just to make sure I am clear on this, my A# is also my sons A# because that is the only A# that i have and that is on my NOA2 for my k1.

Suzique, i've just been reading posts on this site and i think i've seen 3 different posts of this lawyer giving you the wrong info. you should see if you can at least get a partial of your money back, because this lawyer is going to end up giving you a big headache.Make sure he/she knows the specific address to send the application. You should send all the applications together If you dont i think there's a fee for I765(not sure about I131 cuz i didnt apply for that)or if i remember correctly you have to wait to get the I797 for I485 and then be able to send it. anyways Good luck with everyhting. I was going to hire a lawyer too but after just asking questions on this site and reading i decided not to and did it on my own.
believe me if I could I would, it states right in all her fine print that i can not get my money back. The sad part of all of this is it is not the lawyer it is her assistant. And yes I have tried on many occasions to let her know. I have emailed, and called and I do not get a response back. I figure this is the last step - just keep checking everything over and hopefully it will go smoothly.
Your son's A# is the same as the one printed on your K1 NOA2.
Thank you, I was wondering if maybe I should just send it with nothing there.

believe me - my butt is so sore from me kicking it - I really wish I had done some homework before I hired this lawyer. Now I have to see it thru to the end. (which I am going to review every single step of the way) and if I have any more questions I will be posting here, because you guys have given me all the right information.
thank you, thank you, thank you,

and that is why I love this site. Everyone is so helpful and full of encouragement and information. It really helps having people who have been thru this experience and are willing to share to make it seem painless (somewhat)
Have a wonderful relaxing wedding. Know that when you start the process of gathering everything for the AOS that you have the people at visajourney.com to rely on. I would not have gotten thru any of this process thus far - still somewhat intact - if it was not for the help of everyone here.
-
believe me if I could get my money back I truly would - you have no idea how stupid i feel having hired her.
thank you so much (I do say that alot here )

ok does anyone know what this is for? $70.00 money order made out to homeland security for affidavit of support. my lawyer said that I needed it and I have asked why but I have still not heard back from her.
I anybody has any information I would greatly appreciate it
-
thank you, I knew that back in my mind but I needed to see it. This lawyer is killing me with all the wrong information she has.
I am so glad I have everyone here that has experienced it and are extremely helpful.
thank you again
-
thank you for the information on this one too. I did not want to tell my lawyer to change it (she would tell me otherwise) without having some support on it.
thank you

thank you, I have no idea what the 70 is for. My lawyer, (who I really regret hiring) has stated that I require the two amounts of 1010 (my son is 16) and also one for 70 for the support. I am waiting for her reply as to what this is for.
thank you for other information, I was not sure.

I know I have read somewhere on here that when I apply for the AOS, AP and the EAD. I should use my married name (came over on a k1 visa, married on aug 14). I have tried searching but I am obviously doing something wrong because nothing is coming back. If anyone has an answer that would be great.
thank you

really quick question with regards to the cheques for the homeland security for the AOS. I was just wondering I have to send my lawyer the cheques but i was wondering can i put them all on one bank draft or do i have to make out separate ones for myself and for my son. Plus the $70 charge for the affidavit of support (not sure exactly what this charge is for). I am thinking I would have to do three separate cheques but I wanted to check first to make sure.

Thank you, I ended up reading the whole guidelines and finally found it (I guess if I had looked a little harder then I would have found it lol) I just knew that if I asked somebody always knows. I am very thankful for this site and used it (I wish I had when I first started and I would have saved us a couple of thousand dollars)
thank you again,
