  1. Hi,

I will be having my interview on Aug 11. USC Hubby submitted all orig documents to the NVC, including my original NBI clearance. Should I bring another Orig copy to the embassy for my interview or will my "Personal" copy (which is also orig and printed in the green paper) suffice?

  2. If you got the letter with a case number starts with MNL, you can call the embassy hotline and schedule an interview.. that's what we did..

Hi! I got excited when I read this. Our case is now with the NVC. We just paid the AOS fee and at this point, we are waiting to submit the rest of the requirements. I already know my MNL case number because the NVC sent me an email with the DS3032 (choice of agent) form. I was hoping to go ahead and try to get my medical done at St. Luke's. When I called, they said all they needed was any document with my manila case number... isnt it too early to schedule an interview when I know our documents have not been sent to the embassy yet? Your advise please! Thanks.

  3. Just got my manil case number and email from the NVC regarding choice of agent. Was told by the operator at St. Luke's medical that all they needed from me to get a Medical was to pay the fee, photos, and an email with the case no. Will I be able to go for my medical with just that email? or is there another email specifically for instructions to proceed to St. Luke's? Its valid for 1 year anyway, so I thought the sooner I go, the better...

VJ members from Manila... help please...Thanks

So know one got approve today? Well there is 2morrow n the day after that. I know its coming soon for us march fliers don't worry ur self guys its coming.

I really hope and pray we get approved soon... I just get disappointed everytime I read my emails and check my status online and nothings changed... no touches... no approvals... what's keeping those approvals from coming? why in the past months, a lot of applications are approved daily? Everything from hereon is uncertain and that's what is killing me! I just want to know when I will be home with my hubby... =(

  5. yes you will have to get an NBI clearance.. it is a requirement for the DS230 packet which will be submitted to NVC..

I lived 3 years in the United States with a working visa from 2005-2009. Do I need to obtain police clearance from over there too aside from the one from Manila?

  6. Hi, I am just collecting the documents needed for NVC but have some questions I am hoping you can help me with...

    1. I have been living in the US with my family for the past 3 years with an H1B visa (working visa). Will I need police clearance from the United States too? I am now in the Philippines, but have been here for less than 3 months. I am getting a police clearance from here for the past years I have been living here... but I dont know if I should get one from the States as well since that is where I have been for the past 3 years.

    2. I have been filing my taxes in the United States while I was there on a working visa. I was the one earning while my hubby was studying. Would anyone know how much income is needed for him to be able to claim me?

    Thanks for your help!

  8. Hi Guys,

We are also waiting for NOA2... but I want to prepare for NVC. I read somewhere that a police clearance is needed...

My question goes to those who filed for their beneficiaries who are in Manila... will I need to get an NBI clearance here and send it to my hubby together with the other forms needed for NVC?

  9. Hello,

My hubby received the NOA1... so excited I checked our case status in the USCIS website using our receipt no... my question is... what does "touched" mean?

He filed for I-130... still confused whether we should try to file for I-129F/K3... what do you guys think? So many conflicting advice on whether we should file or not... all we want is to be together again at the soonest possible time...

Any other March I-130 filers from Manila?

  10. I am mailing out the I-130 petition for my wife today. I am also getting ready to file for I-129F (K3) just in case this gets approved faster and we can be together sooner... I noticed I had to fill out the same form G-325A just like I did for I-130... is this the case? Do I have to fill this out completely all over again?

How much is the filing fee for I-129F (k3)?

Thanks for your much awaited response.

I-130 packet to be sent on 2/25/2010

  11. Hi, I am not really sure if this is applicable to us, but would like to ask here so we would know...

    Here goes our story...

We have been residing in the USA for the past 5 years. My wife had an H1B then while I was a Permanent Resident, waiting to be eligible for US citizenship. Finally, I was eligible, and had my oathtaking date scheduled. We were both looking forward to this as her H1B visa will expire too. That week, her father passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly. Together with our 2 american born kids, we all went home to Manila for the funeral.

Since I had to go back for my oathtaking, I left her and the kids behind in Manila. Now, her H1B expired, I am getting ready to file for I-130, when I read about this thing called DCL which will get her back to the states sooner.

I would like to know if filing for DCL in behalf of my american born kids who are having difficulty adjusting to the weather in the Philippines. They have been sick with asthma, allergies, and strep, lost 5lbs in 3 weeks and looking for their regular routine such as visits to the library.

Does anybody know if we've got a shot at filing for DCL at all in Manila?

    Thanks.

  12. Thanks to Visa Journey Members, we have learned a lot from this site. We are almost ready to file for my wife's I-130 but have a few questions that we can hopefully clarify with your help:

    1. I've read the criteria for expedited processing and I want to give it a try. But how do I actually apply for it? Should I send it with the packet or should I send it separately? Is there another form I should fill out?

    2. On the I-130 or G-325a form, her address for the last 5 years was asked. She's been living in the States for the last 5 years, should I send other documentations to show her legal status here? She had an H1B visa then. I was going to file for her I-130 when her father passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and had to go home to Manila with our 2 american born kids. Her H1B visa expired and now we are separated and she and the kids have to wait for this petition to be approved. So now the question again is, should I send other documentation to show her legal H1B status while here in the States?

Thank you in advance for your comments.
