  1. make it easy and short from my experience:

He can get teh SSN in few days from SSN Office closer to ur resident the should take his Passport with I-94 they might ask him for Birth certificate.

get the Marriage License just with his Passport.

    1-First get Married.

2-Find money 1070$ fees for the AOS I-485

3-Once u will receive the NOA1 for AOS go ahead and file the Employment Authorization Document I-765 (because u applied for AOS u dont have to pay 381$ fees but dont forget to send the NOA 1 for I-485 with the I-765)

Then ur Husband at the time will receive his EAD first before the green card.

    Good luck.

wish I had somebody to tell me all that hhhhhh

  2. salam alikom wwb bro and sister

I wiil be short asking for help sure if u dont mind Im here in US for just few days actually just get married and Im looking for to Apply for my AOS I 485 Form but I wanna be correct for everything and make any mistake,so I need to ask about all I need to do and about the money should write check for USCIS for the whole amount required ? also if I can just print the Info page in my passport instead of Birth certificate which will need for me to take it from Morocco and translate it there which will take many days???

  3. all K1 visa holders I need to know ur experience to get the ssn after u entered the States??? How u did exactly bcs when I called the ssn office here they told me that I should first wait for 21days before to do that, but I still remember that all I need to do is to show up there and talk with a supervisor in case they will make it complicated asking me to wait or get married my fiance first.

  4. ok to be short I had an experience right but u should know that every case is different than other one,but for the basic u should be first.

    Organized for the whole paperwork.

stay clam never panic for any reason even if the consulate officer can be mean or provoking u so bad.

say just the Truth nothing else keep in ur mind that they can find ur lies easily.look at Co eyes straight when u are answering the questions.

be answering qsts by enough words dont talk too much.

walking in consulate u should feel that u are eligible to get the visa because u are serious and u are there just to prove this by easy way.it doesnt mean over being optimist but u know urself and ur fiance very well thats it.

be calm during the Interview no matter what its really important, and Allah help u.good luck

  5. hello,

anyone please could explain to me why the embassy need administration process after a visa aproved?

I have been waiting for the call since 4 weeks. The funny thing is when the phone ring i jump and think is the embassy lol.

    Thanks

salam alikom wwb,for my personal experience until now I spent over a 10weeks after an approved interview in the consulate for the same reason AP and until now Im still waiting, its funny like u said I felt the same just the phone ring in work hrs then Im checking the screen if its consulate number hhhh this AP should be a real check about u and the USC to see if u don't represent any danger to US before to issue ur visa and nobody can tell how long this AP can take however in DOS they said the normal limit is 2months then u can make an inquiry but in reality its not limited so u should just to be patient and keep calling the consulate in every week to check on ur case status bcs DOS told us recently that Casablanca Consulate are making ppl to wait for a very long time lately then they are receiving calls from ppl about this strange delay every week.u can also call the DOS * 202 663 1225 * to see if they can provide u by any helpful information.

  6. UPDATE: While talking to the DOS for a third time today (this time to check whether or not I can cross into the States while waiting during the AP process), the VISA was approved while talking to the lady. After checking my information, while telling me that it was still under AP process, her page refreshed showing the approval. I've never heard of that happen before, but great news. The AP process only took 3 days. Just thought I'd share that. Thanks for everyone's answers and help.

so what this mean she told u that u can go in couple days to get ur visa or what ?

  7. So I just spoke with the DOS, and they said my case was still under administrative review and that they have no further information on it, other than the visa is yet to be approved or denied, which contradicts what I was told at the interview (where the interviewer said, "approved"). Does anyone know how I can find out from the Vancouver consulate where it is in its review process and how long it might take under admin review? Our wedding is planned for 3 weeks from now. Thanks.

Alright u know in this stage all they can tell u is to wait then they will not care about ur coming wedding but u can use that as a reason to rush them in case they will give it importance if u have any proof about the real date of ur wedding and reservation? u just had ur Interview so ppl in other consulates waited for more than double time u did Im the example, its good to keep contacting them every week but none can tell u how long this AP or AR can take;u should wait and be patient.

  8. WHO CAN INFLUENCE THE CONSULAR OFFICER TO REVERSE A DECISION?

Immigration law delegates the responsibility for issuance or refusal of visas to consular officers overseas. They have the final say on all visa cases. By regulation the U.S. Department of State has authority to review consular decisions, but this authority is limited to the interpretation of law, as contrasted to determinations of facts. The question at issue in such denials, whether an applicant possesses the required residence abroad, is a factual one. Therefore, it falls exclusively within the authority of consular officers at our Foreign Service posts to resolve. An applicant can influence the post to change a prior visa denial only through the presentation of new convincing evidence of strong ties.

  9. I may have a similar problem, but not on the same time frame. Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I'd post it here.

I had my K1 interview on tuesday in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and was approved according to the officer who handled the case with me. He said wait about 3 business days to pick up my passport and envelope from the DHL office I selected, about a half hour outside Vancouver, BC, where I live. Can it really take up to a month before my package is ready to be picked up before crossing into the United States? And would I call the DOS to find out if my Visa has been printed?

    Hey DS1419,

I have no idea about how things are going in Vancouver,Canada.but from my waiting experience from here and dealing with consulate here I can assure u that the whole process for u will not be as long as mine for 2months until now even less than a month,I can advice u to call the DOS if u wanna get directly to the information bcs they are able to check for ur case deeply and tell u where ur visa is stick.my Fiance when she called the DOS the agent told her that lately they have been receiving calls about delay for Visa to be printed from different consulate Casablanca is one of them but for Vancouver I have no idea,u should wait until next week and try to contact first the Consulate if they gave u no logical reason for the waiting or an exactly date for u to get that Visa then u can goo ahead and call DOS to make sure whats going on before to start waiting for nothing clear enough for u.good Luck

    Karim.

  10. You will need your case number, petitioner and beneficiary name and date of birth. Petitioner should call, and yes, I have dealt with them many times. But, they may or may not be able to answer how long AP will last, because it sounds like you are in AP, administrative processing. Best of luck to you

for the AP I read on DOS website that can take whole 2months as limits which is over now,but u know a case that was Approved in Consulate and be refused later from DOS ? for which reason or actually they are going just to check deeply about me and my fiance before to issue the Visa ?

  11. calling the DOS is a very good idea. 202-663-1225 Good luck!

Thanks first for ur response I need to know how its working to call the DOS for my case if u had an experience before with them, need just to provide them my case number in Casablanca Consulate and other info thats all? also if they are helpful for information and end who is allowed to call me beneficiary or my Fiance the Petitioner ?

  12. had Interview on April 4th 2011 with an approval from CO but until now after 2 months with no Information from the Consulate then what do u think the best choice left for me is to call the DOS its a good idea or no ???

bcs the Consulate in this step have no information at all everything should be in DOS desks they should be the main decider for the check and visa now.

  13. Hello ok to be transparent with u there is none who can tell u exactly how long it can take even the Consulate in case if u call them for a simple reason they are also waiting for the DOS to finish their check and accept ur Visa before to receive the Call from Consulate here, for my experience Im still waiting my positive Interview and CO told me the same thing like u for 2months ago until now the only different for u is that they didn't keep my passport,so u should just be patient and don't worry at all it can happen now in anytime, maybe u can contact the Consulate by Email or call between 3pm to 4pm and ask about ur case.in case they can boost things.wish u good luck.

    Karim.

  14. if u are from Casablanca then its easy go to the main BMCI Bank in place called Earth Planet 'hhh' koora ardiya there u will find the bank take ur ID and Passport and tell them that u wanna pay for tourist visa to the US and that thye Consulate request u to bring the receipt in Day of ur Interview, they will charge u something like 1200dh thats all u need to do.good luck if u are living far away u can ask any BMCI bank u will pass by.

  15. Like what Kim said before it will be the best choice for him is to chose speaking by English in his Interview to don't make the CO confused for how he was in serious relationship with u for long enough and he is not able to speak English ' it will not be a writing test for English as a language skills but simple question and answer thats it' and if he want to make sure taking Interview by English smoothly the technique is to be calm and well listening to the CO carefully don't answer until he understood well the qst better to ask CO to repeat than to answer just for answering.but if he would like to have a translator then at the beginning the Moroccan man/woman who is making the Interview ready will ask him for which language he prefer to take for his Interview automatically if he will say Arabic then the CO will ask a Moroccan agent to attend in the Interview and translate every single word ur fiance will say and make him understand all CO qsts.take it easy its not a big deal.good luck for u guys

  16. hi everybody !! i'm new here but i know that this site is the best who can give more informations about my case.. me and my fiance filled a K1 visa and got approved ! now we got letter from the consulate in Casablanca.. now i'm working on what they asked for. me and my fiance met 2 years ago, we love eachother, and she visited me only 1 time (10 days only) cause she live in L.A (CA) and after the visit we couldn't live apart cause we miss eachother this is why we choosed to fill this fiance visa. i'm just afraid about the interview !! i'm working now about all my evidence and proofs of our relationship (Chat conversations, webcam, SMS, Phone Calls, Photos of our meeting with me and my familly, affidavits in support of our relationship from both of our familly..)

is there anything else i can do !! because day after day i'm afraid if all this is not enaugh !!

    Thanks in advance

(by the way my Interview is 30 June sorry for the mistake)

Salam Alikom wwb First of all I can assure u about how u are feeling getting ready for the coming Interview is something logical and normal we all had the same experience,so first of all u should check others Timelines and look at some old posts that has the same topic as u are looking for and from Casablanca which will help u so much to make all steps correctly and with no mistake which is needed from ur side before to have the Interview,as u mentioned 'chat history, call logs,Emails, letters from her of her family u too,PICS'most important and it will be great to be different ones not always in the same place and same time'with ur family and together alone',facebok .... anything u can use to show ur close relationship and serious one' wish they are going to look at all these evidences but u should keep i ur mind that u MUST be so good organized in everything, stay calm in from of them and act normally u deserve this visa and u are walking in Consulate with this idea,u should know every single details about her important personal and professional life, family and work her past.make sure all paperwork they asked u to bring are complete and filled exactly like they are expecting with no mistake,Affidavit of Support too she is making enough money ? to do all that u should make a plan of steps one by one until u are done with everything on time inch Allah.

    Good luck Allah isahal.

  17. Sounds to me like you're in AP (Administrative Processing). No one can tell you how long it takes- could be a few months to a year (in extreme cases). Even DOS can't tell you how long it will be. Patience is all need, you will be fine insha allah ;)

I never heard before about an approved Interview and wait for a long year ? then maybe u are confused between AR and AP ? but for DOS in their official website said max is 60day so I can't hand it for over this limits thats what patient means when we deserve something we should go for but waiting with crossed hands Im tired of and need to get my right after I paid all fees and gave all needed docs.like we are saying by Arabic"The right is not given but taken".thanks for ur participation. wll update u once something new happened.

  18. You can call DOS and ask them if your visa has been printed, if it has not then you do not need to worry about it expiring, then you need to ask them if you are in some kind of extended processing and they should be able to tell you if you are.

You will probably get a better answer from calling DOS than calling/emailing the embassy.

Thanks a lot Inky for ur fast and logical response I appreciated so much, and it made me feel fine about this delay after my Interview then it made me look for more info and thats what I found and decided first time to wait for a complete 60days after the Interview date before the next move which will be to make an inquiry for DOS about the real status of my case.

    Administrative Processing Information

Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa applicant’s interview by a Consular Officer. Applicants are advised of this requirement when they apply. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of the visa interview. When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case. Visa applicants are reminded to apply early for their visa, well in advance of the anticipated travel date.

Important Notice: Before making inquiries about status of administrative processing, applicants or their representatives will need to wait at least 60 days from the date of interview or submission of supplemental documents, whichever is later.

About Visa Processing Wait Times – Nonimmigrant Visa Applicants

Information about nonimmigrant visa wait times for interviews and visa processing time frames are shown on this website, as well as on U.S. Embassy and Consulate websites worldwide. It should be noted that the “Wait Times for a Nonimmigrant Visa to be Processed” information by country does not include time required for administrative processing. Processing wait time also does not include the time required to return the passport to applicants, by either courier services or the local mail system.

  19. Hey VJ Family,

I need to know if a Visa can be expired before to get it in hand ? after the Interview went smoothly and heard from the CO that I was Approved ? until now its 2months and still didn't hear anything from them however I tried to call for twice and sent email always all they are saying is to WAIT and this can happen in anytime now to receive their call from the Consulate.I need to know from ppl who had an experience lately in Casablanca Consulate waiting all this long after a positive Interview ? thanks in advance for ur help and responses

  20. I want to see him also...He wants to come here. His brother is here and he wants to see America

why not to give is a shot and try his chance but I can tell u my experience in Consulate in Casablanca,a profession as a Teacher can be kind of positive point to show his intention to return back to Morocco once his visa is over but to have a good property is more helpful but the most important is if he traveled before oversea specially to Europe because is he used a visa before by right way this can be the most important point to help him get a visa easily from Consulate and then see his brother u and enjoy the journey in America.when I was there like 100% of people who applied and have been in Europe before got the visa with no problem; after simple three qsts have u been in oversea of Morocco? why u are traveling to >>> states? for how long u wanna stay there ? thats it ur visa is accepted come in couple days to get it in hand.best of lcuk

  21. Hey to all sweet VJ Family Members,

I will be short for my qst,I need to know how long ? it can be for a beneficiary who applied for K1 or CR1 to get a visa in Hand after an Approved Interview in Casablanca.I need people with a recent experience from this Consulate because its the whole different than any other places procedure is completely going sometimes weird.Actually its been a complete month that I had my Interview and still waiting for "Administrative Processing " to be than this 2words who anybody can hear even if he will get the visa in 2days wish made me really so surprise.

Thanks in Advance for ur help.

  22. u can have the possibility to get the History of chat from Facebook in case u have been both using the same computers but there is no need to print everything but beginning and end of each month that will be great, don’t forget sometimes like my case they didnt even bother themselves to check all printed evidences but they took just the Album of pictures.

    http://www.youtube.c...h?v=hZ9sXvM433U facebook chat history link.

  23. I sent the application on 01/24/2011. We received the Noa1 on 02/01/2011.

about the dates maybe u did a mistake the NOA2 should be dated 03-01-2011 right ? then sometimes it can happen this way fast for te Approval in just few weeks instead of few months I saw a couple received their NOA2 in 22days only.so u better enjoy it so hard and get ready for the next step NVC.Congratulations :dance::dance::thumbs:

  24. I wanna saw something abut this u should not take it as a red Flag for why she is not taking a round trip tickets? it's normal she is using a K1 visa which is non-Immigrant visa then it's allowing her to stay in U.S for a period of 3months maximum then it's enough to book another flight in case she will be back for any reason so getting a round trip Tickets is not the full Intention to show that she is not planing to stay there forever.take it easy and get the cheaper Ticket that's it,this is only my personal viewpoint but all is between ur hands for the final decision.Good Luck.:ot2:
