    Question regarding Filing N-400

    Hi All,

    Just like to ask some question regarding filing N-400 Application for citizenship and I-90 Application for Green Card Renewal.

    So I came in the US with my 3 year old son. So we both have valid green card. Now our green card is about to expire in 2 months. I already filed my N-400 application for Naturalization.

    My question is

    1) Do I need to file N-400 for my son too. I know since he is a minor, I don't need to file for him. Just need confirmation.

    2) Do I need to file I-90 to renew my green card or can I get I-551 stamp on my passport. We are planning to go abroad next year (April 2020) for a vacation.

    3) My son is now 13 years old, Green card about to expire in 2 months, he will be 14 years old by December 2019. Do I need to file I-90 for him now or should I wait after his 14th birthday before I file so that I don't need to pay for the fee. The thing is if I wait till December 2019 to file I-90 for him and we are going out of the country by April 2020, I may not have sufficient time to get his green card renewed.

    Good Day to all! I just want to ask about my case. We receive checklist cover letter from NVC. It states there an instruction for me about IV fee payment. Now we already paid the IV fee and I want to know what documents do I need to send to the NVC together with the checklist that they send to us. Do I need to print the receipt page and send it to them? any help would be very much appreciated... thanks!

    Hi mga kabayan! may gusto lang sana akong klaruhin sa pagkakafile ng petition namin. Eto kasi yung sitwasyon, finile ng asawa ko (wife) yung I-130 at G-325A gamit apelyido ko at naapprove naman. Then she file I-884 (AOS) gamit din yung marriage name nya kasama ng W-2 form at proof of employment na parehong nasa maiden name nya. Magkakaroon ba yun ng problema pagdating sa NVC? Hindi pa sya nakakapagfile ng change of name dun since inaantay nya pa yung renewal ng GC nya. Iaaccept kaya ng NVC yung W-2 form nya kahit na maiden name yung nakalagay dun o we need to submit a copy of our marriage certificate together with the I-864 and W-2 forms to the NVC?

    Hi! Gud day to all! I just want to ask for some clarification. My wife filed I-130, G-325A using her Marriage name and was approved. She sent the I-864 using her marriage name together with her W-2 form and proof of employment in which both documents uses her maiden name. Will there be any conflict? Will the NVC accept her W-2 form which is in her maiden name? By the way, her passport and greencard are still in her maiden name since she wants to change it when she renew it.

    Welcome kabayan. Magreact Lang ako dito let others comment.

    Yung galing sa NVC na instruction ay machine answer generated na parang standard reply Lang. Porke diko mabasa completely yung nvc letter, sa palagay ko yung W2 form ng asawa mo Lang ang kulang. Hindi kailagan na gumawa ka ng I-864a dahil yung income mo ay sa Pinas na Hindi naman declared sa US.

    Ang naging experience ng anak ko ng tungkol sa financial document ay kulang Lang ng pirma ng asawa ko pero yung instruction ay para ding ganyan sayo. Meron nakaattached na separate paper na specific ang kulang.

    Kaya pag nagfill up ng documents ipa proof read sa ibang Tao kasi ma burn out ka sa kaiisip. Maliliit kasi ang text size ng visa forms. Hope these help, kabayan.

    Maraming salamat sa info... hopefully yung W2 form na lang kulang namin para maayos rin yung AOS namin.

    Gud Day sa inyong lahat! Hingi lang sana ako ng tulong about submitting the AOS. My wife is the Petitioner and I am the principal applicant. Naipadala na namin yung I-864 ng wife ko together with the I-864 of my brother as joint sponsor.

    Ngayon nakareceive ako ng email from NVC at naka detail naman dun yung kulang na documents for my wife and my brother.

    Eto yung instruction na hindi ko maintindihan. Kelangan ko rin bang magfill-up ng form I-864A. Nandito pa ko satin at dito rin ako nagwowork so hindi ko macocomplete yung form I-864A. Yung sa form ng wife ko ang kulang nya lang ay yung W-2 form nya(tax return).

    Hi Gud day to all! Just want to ask for help in re-submitting I-864 form. We receive email from NVC and telling us to provide any documents which are indicated as missing or need additional information. I am the intending immigrant and my wife is the petitioner.

    We already submitted forms I-864 of my wife (Petitioner) and my brother (Joint Sponsor) and necessary documents. In the NVC letter, there is also a checklist of documents/needed info for my wife and my brother but we can clearly understand what's missing. The only thing that I can't understand is the instruction for me... Do I have to fill-up form I-864A too? I already read the I-864A and I don't think it applies to me. I reside and work in the Philippines? Please help cause I'm clueless on what should we do! Thanks...

    Just want to ask about sending I-864 AOS form to NVC.

    My wife lives in Jersey while my brother is in SF. I will be sending the completed I-864 of my wife thru mail for her to sign it before we send it to NVC.

    My brother don't want me to see his completed I-864 form (he does not want me to know his income). Can we send the AOS form of my wife (Petitioner) and my Brother (Joint Sponsor) separately to the NVC?

    Just want to ask, I already submitted my COA thru email. Now I received an email about the IV processing fee which includes a separate bill for me and my son. The problem is my son is already there with my wife because we were able to process my son's paper during the processing of her visa. My wife was petitioned by her mother. Do we have to pay it again or I need to clarify things to the NVC? what is the best way to do?

    First option. Ang joint sponsor yung ate ng asawa mo kahit di mo kamaganak. Aabot ba sa

    $16500 per annum income Nya? Wala rin siyang dependent? Form I-864 gamitin niya.

    Second option. Combined income ng asawa mo at ate , aabot ba ng $29250? Bale Ito requirement for your household maging 5 na kayo. So ang ate form I-864A ang gamitin.

    Third Option. Yung kapatid mo, aabot din Ba $25000 income Nya? Income Lang Nya basihan without combining income with your wife. Bale kasama ka sa dependent nya. Form I-864 gamitin niya. Matanong ko single ba siya bat 3 Lang sila with parents?

    Ito interpretation ko sa instruction sa link na binigay ko. I hope masagot mo yung options para maguide ka and good luck. Remember na opinion ko Lang Ito, Hindi ako abogado, mahal kasi magconsulta sa kanila ano, P9000 - P20000 an hour, hehe!

    Kung combined income siguro ng asawa ko at ate nya hindi ata aabot dun sa required income. yung kapatid ko single pa lang kaya 3 lang sila with my parents. siguro yung sa third option ang pinaka possible at aabot din naman yung income nya sa requirements. maraming salamat at mas naintindihan ko yung mga options na naipaliwanag mo. oo nga mahal ang pagkonsulta sa mga abogado kaya pilit akong naghahanap ng mga kasagutan sa mga forums na tulad nito, napakalaking tulong para sa atin lahat.

    Thank you for your help. May tanong lang ako ok lng ba na yung choice of agent ko eh aaddress ko d2 sa philippines kesa sa petitioner na asa US kasi laging lumilipat ng bahay yung husband ko... thank you... ;)

    Opo pwede rin naman po kung kayo na rin mismo ang magiging agent nyo. Mas preferred lang nila yung may US postal address for faster and reliable mailing of documents.

    Eto po yung nakalagay sa DS-3032 info -

    "The DS-3032 permits the applicant to name an agent to receive correspondence from NVC and requires applicants still interested in immigrating to tell NVC where to send mail about their visa request. The letter tells the applicant that they may choose someone, including the petitioner or a non-profit organization, to be their agent or they may elect to continue to receive the correspondence themselves. The applicant must complete and sign the DS-3032 and return it to the NVC before processing can continue. Given the difficulties often encountered with international mail, we encourage applicants to seek an agent with a U.S. postal address."

    punta ka rito sa website na ito for your reference http://travel.state.gov/visa/forms/forms_1342.html. Yung kapatid mo maging co sponsor at ang gamitin nya form I-864A. kung bali 3 lang kayo sa pamilya pati asawa mo, puede na isa na co sponsor. Good luck kabayan and welcome.

    Di ba yung I-864A is for household member lang. magkaiba kasi sila ng tirahan at yung wife ko ang kasama nya sa bahay ay yung anak ko, ate at mommmy nya. Yung brother ko naman nakatira sa SF, California with my mom and dad and since yung kuya ko rin ang nagfile ng petition sa parents namin para makapunta don, kelangan nyang isama sa household member nya ang parents ko. Pwede bang gamitin ng kapatid ko yung I-864 din as the only Joint sponsor together with my wife? medyo nalilito lang talaga ako sa dami ng I-864 forms at kung ano ba talaga ang pwede ko ipasubmit sa kanila.

    Ang balak ko ngayon eh parehas silang magsusubmit ng I-864 form, my wife as the petitioner and is obligated to fill-up the form and will be having 3 household member(me, My wife and son) and my brother as the only joint sponsor(will have 4 household members since he filed AOS for my parents too). Kung yung ate kasi nya magfile ng I-864A to support e baka kulang pa rin kasi magkasabay lang sila ng wife ko nakapunta don. Since hindi sapat yung income ng asawa ko kaya yung kuya ko ang isa pang option namin as the Joint sponsor. Tama po ba kung sakaling ito gawin namin?

    Hi sa lahat!may tanong lang sana ako about sa filing ng AOS. Yung asawa ko magfifile ng AOS kaso ang income nya di naman ganon kalaki. Mom and Dad ko nasa California, Yung kapatid ko nasa California rin pero nakabukod sa parents ko, My wife and son lives in New Jersey. Balak sana namin na yung kapatid ko na US citizen na rin naman ang isa pang magfile ng AOS para sakin. Ngayon naguguluhan ako kung anong form ba dapat ang ipasa namin. Parehas bang I-864 since they have separate household. Yung kapatid ko ba magiging only joint sponsor.
