  1. Hi guys. I need your help.

I received an e-mail from NVC yesterday stating that i have not send my civil documents, specifically my police certificates, photograph, and correspondence instructions. but I already send these documents along with my DS-230. I called NVC and they said they only receive the birth certificate and the photocopy of the passport. What will I do guys? I'm really positive that i send all those documents to NVC. Thanks in advance.

I'm really sorry to hear that.

When did you send them? How many days did it take before they have contacted you telling that your docs are incomplete?

  2. yeah NBI and police clearance are different...you bought need it police clearance can get from where you reside before and until now....if the nvc is asking for your police clearance from the places you live since 16 you need to go to the municipality of those places.

ex... if you live in pasay since 16 until now then you need to get police clearance in pasay

if you live in pasay since 16 and move out to laguna in 20 then you need a police clearance in both municipality

if you live in other country after you turn 16 and live there for more than 6 months then you need to get a police clearance from that country..

Are you sure about this? Thanks for the information.

But two of our friends here in the topic said to just get the NBI Clearance.

    I'm confused.

Hi! If you haven't stayed outside the Philippines for more than 6 months, then no need to get a police clearance. You will just need NBI clearance.

Thanks! Are you sure that it's just the NBI Clearance? COngrats on your Visa! :)

  3. Yeah , we already paid all the fees and also we send all the forms, we have send the package we all the forms . And i called the NVC and they said the case is complete. But there aré not visas available .

My brother has the same case. He is just waiting for his interview. He already sent all the documents last October 2009. He is also under f2B category. His priority date is December 1998. We're from the Philippines. I think his priority date needs to be current first before his interview. The visa bulletin states August 1998 for Philippines.

  4. I already started a thread asking if I can bring my child with me. And already found out that I can. I'm under f2B category and already paid $70.00 and $400.00 as processing fees. The Affidavit of Support documents are being taken care of by my Dad right now. My question is, when and how will I declare my 2 1/2 year old daughter as a derivative. Do I just include her name on the DS230 that will be given to me? Or do I notify them right now? If so, how? Where will I send the birth certificate? My Dad is my agent.

  5. hi sylkie, theres no forms included in the letter. its only a 1 pc letter pertaining my interest in immigrating to the US and includes my case number, preference category and my priority date.

I see. That was the same letter I received last 2001. Telling me that my case ID, category which is f2b and priority date which is 8/16/1999. I've waited for like 9 years to receive a letter telling me that visa can now be processed. I hope that helps.

  6. Pending in AOS form (I-864) and pending IV fee.. =)

We're not really sure if my brother and I can immigrate with our dad because we're over 21 years old now.. :crying:

    Maybe it's only dad.

I'm just collecting all our documents now as well as the ds-230 forms.

Our priority date is January 2006 which was current last month.

We had received letters from NVC starting October 2009.

Did you already called the NVC?

Or did they already sent your dad AOS forms?

It is much faster to pay those fees online, then print the coversheets and download necessary forms.

(AOS forms for AOS fee and DS-230 for IV fee)

Yes, AOS fee was already paid.

Now they are asking us to pay the $400.00 Immigrant Visa Processing Fee.

  7. hi there mitch! i received the notification letter from the National Visa Center last October 13,2009, in the letter includes my case number. upon receiving the said letter my sister and mom(who is in california) called the NVC for confirmation. now my question is, what would be the next step? its been 4months of waiting...please tell me what to do next.

    thanks.

What category are you in? And what did the letter say?

  8. hi can i join? i just think were in the same situation...

my mom-who is my petitioner is also a LPR, im 27 yrs old not married but i had a son who is 1yr old and 5 mos. my priority date is AUG 25, 2006.

last october 13, 2009 i received a letter from the NVC indicating my case number. now its been 4 months and im wondering what would be the next step?

    hope someone can help me.

What is the letter that you received?

    What are the forms included?

  9. Pending in AOS form (I-864) and pending IV fee.. =)

Yup! My dad already paid $70.00.

The last form was the AIVF telling us to pay $400.00.

    I don't know what's next.

  10. Has me wondering for myself also! If the national visa center still has your case, you may be able to contact them regarging this, phone number 603-334-0700. Haha, I would have suspect they would usualy send these forms and notifications to someone that has a prioity date current. But then again, they may be trying to get you processed and ready to go so when the visa does come current you can immigrate with it with out having to bear it being current and waiting! lol .. You'll get over here eventually, hang in there!

    I hope so!

Thank you for your kind response.

    You just made my day!

I'll keep in touch with you!

And I just read about declaring my daughter as a derivative.

    Thank you again!

  11. Ok so it has your prioity date of August 1999. According to the visa bulletin, they are issuing visas to people with a prioity date of July 15th, 1998. So im wondering if your prioity date is actually August 1999 or If its sometime in July 1998. Basicly if the prioity date was current it can take up to 4 months perhaps before they will invite you to apply for the visa. Now if you do have a prioity date of August 1999 it could take up to another year perhaps to get the interview for the visa. This is all provided nothing goes wrong or is sent back to USCIS. Just a basic estimate, more of a USCIS Expert then Department of State I suppose! Haha.

    Good luck!

    Haha!

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

I was just curious why they have sent me these forms thinking that my priority date will be "current" a year from now. Do they do this often?

  12. That would be the approval date right? For the prioity date you would go by the date he filed the petition. When he first mailed it to us basicly. Do you know that date? Also is your father a perm. resident or us citizen?

    Sorry for the confusion.

He filed the petition more than 10 years ago.

I'm holding a letter here from the NVC (which I kept) dated October 1, 2001. Letter was pertaining to visa numbers that are not presently available and that my registration has been noted.

It has my Case Number, Preference Category, My priority date which is August 16, 1999 and Foreign state chargeability.

My father is a legal permanent resident up to now.

  13. Would be likely that you can bring your duaghter with you, as long as she is under 21. You would want to check with the embasy, but normally when a parent files a petition for a child then their grandchildren would apply as dependents on your visa. So your daughter should be able to come with you, provided this was a parent petitioning for you. A seperate petition is usualy only needed when the person qualifies as your direct relative (Such as your husband filing for you, then he would file a seperate petition for the child).

    Good luck!

Yes, it was my dad who petitioned me. Thanks for the quick reply. What about for question number 2?

  14. Hi everyone. I am from the Philippines. My petition was originally approved last August 1999, I was 19 years old then. Now, I just turned 30. I am not married (because of my petition) yet but I have a 2 year old daughter. Her mom is in Japan. Last January 6, 2010, I received a letter from NVC regarding my petition, and that it can now be processed (after more then 10 years). I've sent the COA DS3032 back to NVC and my dad paid the Affidavit of Support (AOS) Processing Fee. After 10 days, we received the Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee invoice of $400.00. These are my questions:

    1. Can I bring my daughter with me once my visa comes out? Or should I start letting the embassy know that I want to take my daughter with me? What should I submit?

    2. How many months will it take for my visa to come out?

I tried using the search feature but I was unable to see similar cases, sorry.

Thanks in advance! Have a nice day everyone!
