Hi. I was wondering where you sent your expedite request due to pregnancy? I'm pregnant myself and I think my interview date will reach my due date since we filed our case Sept 05 and as i've read it takes 5-6 months to process, my edd is either last week of Feb or first week of March. Would love to hear from you. Thanks.
Hey there,
I've just sent an email explaining our situation to this email address: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov
Put your case number as a subject and ATTN: SUPERVISOR on the top of your message.
I'll send you what I wrote to them to your inbox.
It only took them about a week to approve our application after that.
Best of luck to you. Let me know if you need more info.

Hey everyone!
I've been in the States for 3 weeks now and I got my welcome letter last week.
I have a problem though and was hoping someone on here could help.
I'm pregnant (due date is Sep 17th) so I should see a doctor like asap, but I still didn't get my SSN number.
Can I get health insurance without it? If yes, what's needed for it.
My husband is a US Army veteran. Do I have any rights on getting my health insurance through the VA, and is it possible to get it without my SSN number since I'm not sure I will get that number on time?
Thank you in advance for your time and patience.
Ivy

Hey - any news? wassup?
Actually yes.
Everything happened so fast, I'm still confused lol.
My husband sent in an expedition request to NVC cause of the pregnancy, they sent our papers to the US embassy in Zagreb right away and the embassy gave me an interview like a few days after that. I'm leaving next friday... wow.
I'll post all the details a lil later, tryin to book the ticket atm
Thank you guys for all the support.

NVC expedited our case cause of my pregnancy. The only thing we did: we sent an email to the supervisor explaining our situation.
Good luck

Still waiting too... I'm guessing the RFE stuff is really delaying cases
Hang in there people

thanks!!Any updates Dj's baby!!,,AVR updates "your case has been completed on 8th July,2010" I am really happy to hear those magical word "CASE COMPLETED"
Hey... well, we got a RFE, sent it back on the 1st of July and still nothing new from them... the AVR system keeps repeating the old message about some of our papers being incomplete.
I'm happy for you though ... keep us posted

The only thing we sent to the USCIS as a proof of our relationship is 5 photos of us together, us with my family and us with his son... they didn't ask for anything else.
Good luck

Hey there!
Yes, your right... petitioner is not required to go to the interview, it's a optional thing
Here you can find pretty much everything about what you need to do when you get to the NVC... this guide has been very helpful to alot of people, including me
http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut
And about the fees... lets see.
At the NVC stage you'll have IV fee bill = $400 and AOS fee bill = $70.
After that there's the medical that costs around $150 here, but I'm not sure about the prices for Canada and then some minor fees at the embassy for them to send you back the passport and such.
Hope you have a speedy journey, good luck

Your stories made me cry cause I can relate to them. We wanted this baby so much, but we were naive and thought this will be over soon and that we will go through the pregnancy together. It gets so hard and I'm trying not to stress out cause I don't wanna stress out our unborn baby.
It's not the same without him... I'm sending him ultrasound pictures of the baby every time after the doctors appointment, but it's just not the same. He wants to be with me, be there for me cause this pregnancy has been (and still is) very emotional for me, he wants to see the baby and feel him kicking me... and he can't. It's sad and it gets really hard.
We're still hoping we will be together for our baby's birth.
It's so sad your kids can't be with their daddies and that your husband's can't watch them grow. They grow so quickly and I really hope we will all be reunited with our families soon cause this is so painful.
We need to support each other, keep the faith ladies

Ok, so we got a RFE. They mailed it to my husband on June 28 (we didn't actually receive it yet) but the operator told us that it's just about the mistake that's made on my husband's I-864 form that we need to correct and send it back.
My question is: can we send it back right away or do we have to wait to receive the actual FRE in the mail and then send it back all together?

It's sooo hard not being with him! One rough day he said, "This one year that we're apart is going to be nothing compared to the lifetime we get to spend together once I'm there!" If I'm ever in one of my moods (wanting him here), I just think of this...it's sooo true!
I agree with you.
It gets hard though... haven't seen my husband since January and going through pregnancy alone is really hard for me since I'm even more emotional than usually lol.
But when I think of everything beautiful that's ahead of us, it calms me down.
We will get there

Hey guys... just found out that we got RFE. Machine says it's about financials, that it's either incomplete or that some documents are missing
Hope it's something minor... just waiting for them to open so that we can talk to an operator.
Guess no August interview for me
Good luck guys

You guys saw your partners atleast!we got married in last December and my husband went back to USA in January.I even dont know when can I get to see him?4 months waiting in USCIS then this NVC pain for last 2 months.Dont know where are we heading towards?lol
Same here, last time I saw him in January
He's a full time student and can't just leave whenever I want him to lol... not to mention that we were hoping this will be done sometime soon, but that soon is not coming fast enough. Keep us posted on your cases.
Best wishes

Yeah, I called the machine yesterday too... it's says all of our documents have been received on June 16, and the operator told us a few days ago that they still didn't get them. Dunno what to think, just hoping we can get through it without RFE's.
Hang on in there, all of you... and thanks for the support.

Hi Croatia!!
We have sent the documents on June 8 and we have the same story. On Wednesday, when we called NVĆ they said we have not received, not yet. And when we called yesterday, the answer was we received 16 June dokumente. But when u call machine, it is completely different story! And I cant understand them!
Hey neighbour... yeah, I know how you feel. We just have to keep the faith and wait... it's hard as hell, but that's all we can do.
aww ariel and Dj's baby seems like we are all in a same boat..update us if you guys hear something new from NVC till then finger crossed
yeah, it will be alright soon

Here you can find contact details, like phone numbers and email, for your embassy http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Egypt&cty=Cairo
I'm not really sure how it works in Cairo, but every time I emailed embassy here in Croatia, I got a response from them in 1 or 2 business days... so you can try either calling or emailing them.
Good luck, hope you won't have to wait for long
-
We sent both our IV and AOS packet to the NVC on the 1st of June... and they still didn't receive/enter in into their system. All they keep telling us is that they get a lot of mail every day and to give them 4-6 weeks to do this... it's been 4 weeks already
Good luck with your case
