Hi - I am in the process of putting together my waiver package so have couple of questions.
- How much is too much? I think i am going over 800 pages. I have all my monthly bank statements, cable bills (instead of one monthly only), a lot of emails etc. My thinking was to show as much evidence as i could. Are other people doing the same thing?
I can't tell you how much is too much. I won't send all of them though
- How do you go about sending the package and putting it together? I was thinking putting it all in a three hole punch folder. Would that make sense?
I did buy a three hold punch holder. I separated them with dividers into categories. In front of every category. I will have notes. For example, I didn't have any joint assets with my ex, so I explained it to them.
- Does any use post-its on things like statements and emails to highlight things that are of interest?
Yes. I highlighted some important points and had post-it notes next to it. I also wrote next to it too.
Thanks for your responses in advance
My whole file was around 1.5 inch. Pick the important files that can be the evidence of your faithful marriage. Explain your situation. Explain why don't you have some Certain evidence they suggested. That should do it. However, it also depends on the officer who reviews your petition.

Thank you! I was married in May 2008 and got separated in May 2009. I filed divorce in July and the summon was served in September in summer. The divorce was finalized in December 2009. I sent out my package on Jan 25, 2010. I just received my new gc today!
As Okalian said, I filed at CSC. I think it is much faster then VSC...BTW, thanks Okalian again!!How's your case??
My statement was 1.5 pages long. I told them how did we meet, when did we get married, what went wrong, and why did I decide to get divorce...etc. I also told them how I feel about this marriage.
I assemble my file clearly. I bought a folder. I divided my files into categories...For example, application, utility bills, bank information, lease...etc. I don't have a joint lease with my ex, but I had the lease with his name on it. I sent the copy of the lease and I attached a memo. I explained the reason why the lease didn't have my name on it.In the same category, I put some evidence that can prove me stay at the apartment with him, such as letters, online shopping receipt. (I hope I am not confusing anyone...) I explained everything and every detail of my evidences. I hope this helps. Let me know if you guys want to know more. I will help.
I am very happy for you! Do you mind telling us how long you were married before you divorced? Additionally, where did you file, and how long was your statement about your relationship and what did you write? Again, congratulations! I am sure you are glad to be through with this process!

Hello Everyone,
I am here to share the good news with you guys. I just receive an email from USCIS...
On March 8, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
Package includes:
1.My statement about our relationship
2.GC copy
3.Marriage/Divorce original certificates
4.Divorce Summons delivered to him in China and notarized by U.S embassy.
(He left the country and it was one of the reasons we got divorced.)
5. Copies of our ID that shows the same address
6.Utility bills with water, gas, electricity, garbage...etc.-I log into my online account and print these bills out
7.Joint checking account statements
8.His credit card statement with a copy of the credit card under my name(Same card number).
9.Memberships-AAA,costco, gym, "dental advantage discount plan- He isn't not under my name anymore and I didn't have any proof. I went to these stores and asked them for help. I asked them that I need something to prove my ex was under the same account with me.
10. Affidavits from 3 friends. Two of them were the witness of our wedding in LV.
11.Tax Return. 2008-filed married, but file separately. 2009, single(divorce was final in Dec.)
12. Joint ownership of Pets from AKC.
13. Dozens of air tickets to Asia, mexico, and U.S. together.
14. Wedding Video-
15. Pictures from our life with friends, vacations, wedding...etc.
16. Car insurance under our name.
I did't have joint assets with him nor rental lease. He didn't have health insurance...so I tried to be creative when I was preparing my package.
Besides my original package, I did submit additional information without their request.
Apartment lease under his name (my name wasn't on it). I attached a lot of information to proof my residency at that place, such as my online shopping receipts from my email. It was a proof of our co-residency. I think it helps a lot.
Thanks EVERYONE at this forum for help. I am so happy that I get approved w/o an interview and within 6 weeks from Jan 27th to March 8th. It is such a relief.
I went back to my email and searched my mails with his name. If you don't have enough evidences, be creative. I think it was a good idea when i decided to go to 24 hour fitness and asked them if they can help me even though my ex's membership was terminated. They did pull something out for me. Prepare well! You can get approved like this too! Good luck everyone!

01/27/2010-delivered/first NOA

Of course it is the quality not the quantity. That's why I say pick the important evidences instead of sending a "book" to them. Again, it depends on the officer who reviews on the file. However, if you prepare well and do not leave confusion to them, you will get approve easier.
