  1. One year of Income Tax Return and one year of W2's. I brought two years just in case because it's better to be safe than sorry. Some consuls ask for pay stubs while others don't. It varies. Don't you have a current one? I don't think that will matter much as long as you can provide recent pay stubs to prove that you're still employed. good.gif If you can ask for another employment letter then that would be great.

    Toni

I sent her my last years w-2's and also a few of my recent check stubs, I think she will be ok. What kind of questions did they ask you and do they tell you if you are approved when your there, because we wanted to book the flight for first week of august that I thought would be enough time for her to receive the visa in the mail.

  2. They won't ask for the NOA1. I brought a photocopy of the I129 that my fiancé filed just in case the Embassy lost it. Tell her not to use folders cuz they aren't necessary. She has to show her email appointment confirmation letter and one valid ID at the entrance.

These were the papers I brought:

DS Forms (You'll submit this at the cubicle right next to the entrance of the non immigrant section)

*I sorted them into 2 sets and used paper clips to bind them.

    DS 156K

    DS 157

    DS 156

    DS 157

    DS 156

    + email appointment confirmation

Certificates (You'll submit these papers to the prescreener)

    NBI Clearance

    Birth Certificate

    CENOMAR

Proof of Existing Relationship (You'll submit these papers to the prescreener)

    chat logs

    Skype call logs

    emails

    snail mails

    Jordan's AT&T phone logs

    photos

+++Fiance's Letter of Intent (place this on the top)

Evidence of Support (You'll submit these papers to the prescreener)

    I-134

    Letter of Employmen

    2 years of W2's

    2 years of ITRs

    pay stubs

*Bring pay stubs cuz I made a huge mistake of not bringing any and it obviously cost me.

    Good luck!

sounds good but what is 2 years of ITRs? and my lawyer only did one year of w-2's and does it matter that my banks statements and letter of employment are from november of last year when I first filed it?

  3. So my fiance goes for her interview this friday, and I have a few questions to make sure we are prepared. I talked to my lawyer who originally did all the paperwork and sent it in, and he told me that all those files were already sent to the consulate that she really shouldnt need much to bring, I sent the same packet to her so she has it and she has everything else needed, but the NOA1. I never received the NOA1, just an email from my lawyer with the reciept #, I did receive a letter when I got the NOA2 and she has a copy of that. If she does not have this are they going to deny this application? And does anyone know from experience if the consulate gets the same packet that was sent to the uscis when you started the petition?

  4. Well last week I called the embassy and they had only received the email from the NVC and wouldnt let me schedule anything so I called tonight and it must be all good to go because they let me set up the interview for later this month, which works out just great because we were trying to get ahead of the game by getting the medical all done, she flys to manila tomorrow to spend a few days doing that and also some seminar she claims to have to attend(which I havent found anywhere), but just wanted to thank all who have given me advice, and want to know if there is anymore that I should have? I am mailing out the final pack to her in the morning it should be there in two weeks and then she should be good to go. Her interview is on the 23rd of July, with god's will and she passes I figured her arrival time to be around the 1st or 2nd week of august does that sound about right? also any recommendation on where to book flights here? All I have really found was Philippine air, but they only go to san fran, la, or vegas. id like to get her into either chicago, milwaukee, minneapolis, detroit or st. louis if possible. Thanks again!

  5. Ok just need total clarification on this one, I called the NVC today and got my MNL #, they also told me the package was sent to US embassy in Manila on June 14th. So to speed this process up I have her call up St. Luke's and tell them we received our packet from Manila and take up our NOA2 and MNL# to have a medical exam. Then once she does her exam I call up the call center for the embassy and tell them that they have received my packet and I need to set up an interview for her? Now I have been told from my lawyer that all I need was 2 years worth of w-2's and got her bank statements and check stubs, should I send recent stubs? And when we sent in the packet to the USCIS we filled out the I-129f, g-28,g-325 for both of us, i-134, statement from my employer, copy of my birth certificate, copy of my passport with stamp, copies of intineraries, copies of pics of us together, copies of her birth certificate, copy of excerpts from skype chats, two passport photos of both of us (4 total). What should she have filled out and bring with her? Thanks Steve

  6. i think the interview fee was raised to 16k+ pesos.

and you don't have to wait for the letter from the embassy. you just need to call the NVC and give them your case number and ask them for your MNL number (and if your case was already forwarded to the embassy. then your fiancee goes to the medical with a copy of the noa2 you have as well as her MNL # and they will allow her to take the medical... then you call the embassy, schedule the interview (we had better luck with me, the petitioner calling rather than her.) if they ask if you received the letter to schedule the interview just say yes.

it's always best if you can attend the interview with her... not required of course.

thanks I will give it a shot, I hired a lawyer when I first started this process and she mentioned something like this as well, but she said give it about 2 weeks after you recieve the first letter

  7. and oh she also has to pay like 6k+ pesos for the interview.she can pay it at BDO..the instruction will be provided to her..

ok great a couple more questions for you, she lives in Davao can she take the medical exam there or does she have to fly to manila to do it? Also what documents will she need to bring so I can have her all prepared, and she is so nervous about the interview, but its because shes really never left her little area of davao except for when we went to boracay, otherwise she doesnt know much about the city life. And do you recommend that I go there and go to the interview with her? or do you think she will be fine on her own and to fly here alone. Thanks again

  8. Ok my case was put on hold for more evidence so I sent them what they needed and they sent me a letter back saying it was approved, now my question is how long does it take for the packet to go to manila from California office and then once they get the packet how long til they contact my fiance in the philippines, and also I read on here that if you bring in writing that you request the visa issued same day because I was going to fly there and attend with her and then hope to both fly back together. Also a couple other questions, I know I have to pay for the exam which is like $350-$500, but I thought I read somewhere on here that I have to pay an entry fee once here in the usa, I am not sure what its called but I think its around like $1000 can anyone verify that? so basically am just wondering if anyone has any past experience with manila office and when I could realistically think she wi be here? Thanks again for all the people who do answer!

  9. Exactly. That is why you hired one. She just delayed you because she didn't do HER job and make sure every t was crossed and i dotted before she mailed in your packet. She owes you a refund.

Well, I should say she POTENTIALLY owes you a refund assuming everything you gave her *SHOULD* have been correct.

Ya your probably right, but I think I will wait til her job is done, because part of the $500 fee is that she files all the paperwork for her once she is here, then maybe I'll chew some ####, but then again its only $500 compared to me filing it all wrong and delaying her more to come here.

  10. Well I can't really blame her, because I had all the stuff prior to coming in there, I just don't have the time to mess with it right now so that is why I hired a lawyer and I wanted it to be filed correctly, but I guess I will have to wait and see wht the letter says and go from there, I am actually glad that I finally heard something.

  11. well the one thing I did notice after the packet was sent was that I forgot to sign my permission to marry and she signed both of them, I asked the lawyer and she said it shouldnt be a big deal, and maybe it is, I hope its something that simple, but who knows. I just sent bank statements showing that I can financially support our situation. Well I guess I need to learn patience, but that I doubt will ever happen, Ill keep ya posted.

    Thanks again!

  12. Without the actual RFE - hard to say.

Did you get the first NOA at least?

Did you file within two years of your last meeting with the benificiary?

Did you make a copy of everything you sent in? Was everything signed (as appropriate)?

Can't say on how long this will delay you - they can take up to 60 days to go over your RFE evidence.

Yes back on december 7th, and I was there last August, and I have a copy of everything. Well 60days is better than 5months. I was hoping that it happened before winter because she has never saw snow and is a christmas nut so it would be cool for her to see the first snowfall, and she is going to have to get used to cold wisconsin winters!

  13. Hello, I recently recieved an email stating that my case is now at the request for evidence status, I filed with a lawyer back in december, and included many pics, chat history, western union receipts, emails, plane tickets, bank statements, intent to marry, birth certs, you name it we made sure we had it in there, I havent recieved the letter yet but should in the next couple of days and am wondering, what it may say? and how long does this delay the process? They told me that once i send the packet back with the info they need I will get my spot back in line and then I have read on here it goes to the NVC and that process is about 2-4 weeks, then off to manila which is about 90 days til interview. I would like to be there for the interview but its very hard to pinpoint when that will be until she gets the call, so realistically how much longer would you guess that she would be here if all goes well? I was thinking like September?

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

  14. I am talking about the page that states she can marry and also the one that I can marry, and as far as the lawyer goes, it was a flat fee of $500 to file all the paperwork until the day she gets here, and then she also files the paperwork once here. I just read a lot of stories about people that have had it processed sooner, and I wonder I mean I sent over 2000 pages of skype chat history, reciepts from travel, western union, gifts, dozens of pics together, I felt like I sent someone more about my life than most of my friends know. I didnt notice the documents for the permission to marry she signed both and i never signed mine until the lawyer sent me my copies, I immediatly called her and she said if it comes up they will probably just call. She said the main issue she ever saw was people that have never met in person, or didnt have documentation proving. We are coming up now on the final month and hopefully something good happens. My question is how long til the day the service center recieved the form til the day she was here?

  15. Hello, I filed my petition through a law office here in wisconsin, and I got the NOA on December 7th 2009 from the California office. Now its coming up on 4 months, and I know its says 5 months, but I guess I am an impatient person, especially when I read other stories on how it was processed so quickly. I called the lawyer and she said be patient and even called the uscis and they said they cant pull up the file because it still shows in initial review, the only reason I called them is because I have read a lot that the processing times on the website sometimes don't update, she was really nice and said call back when the 5 months is up. My fiance is from Davao Philippines and when I went there she accidentally signed both statements for permission to marry, I also forgot to sign mine, I asked the lawyer if that was going to delay it and she said no because we sent more than enough evidence and she has never had anything be denied. The only reason I didn't do it myself is because I wanted it done right the first time. Any Ideas on what I should expect from the time of packet acceptance til the time she has her interview and also the time that I can buy her ticket? Thanks for all the help.

    Steve
