  3. Hi people!!

Hi especially to ariel, sorry I usually log in when I come home around 7pm.

I am thrilled and happy to say that I tried logging in the payment portal and I FINALLY got SIF!!

    Sign In Failed

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

    Wow, thank you LORD!!!

My husband is calling NVC to ask if its closed or in final review like smsgirl said.

Good luck to the rest of us, we've been waiting for so long!

CONGRATS Nica... Very Happy For You.

  4. Hi Nica/Ariel,

NOt the best thread to be in yet Welcome to the waiting room ;) , wish we all get out of NVC Process at the earliest.

I'm in Eastern Time Zone, and I'm able to get thru to a Operator after several attempts and staying on line for 5mins to 35mins.

Spoke to one nice lady yesterday, she stopped short of guaranteeing that I'll have my CC early next week, but did say that NVC Is now taking full 6-8 weeks for Reviewing the Case & asked me to check back erly next week.

Please let me know if you get a SIF/CC, I'll do the same.

BTW NO SIF as of 8:15AM EST.

  5. Your husband can send in the documents himself, no need to wait on lawyer, once the casefile is at NVC. IMO, using a lawyer who wants to wait on postal mail from NVC ACTUALLY slows down the process - usually 3 to 6 months .

If you'd like to tell your husband to 'submit them himself' - just remind him - it doesn't matter if the documents come from him or the lawyer, at NVC stage.

Husband has a DS-230 that you signed ? He can handle the I-864 himself.

Addresses on 'where to send' are in the coversheets, to be printed from the online payment portal website.

I tend to have violent reactions to news similar to yours, suggesting a PARTIAL refund from any attorney, due to attorney's ignorance. When he refuses to pay the partial refund, is great reason to file in small claims court. IMO, you have enough fodder to prove that the lawyer is wrong, and a judge would make the award to your husband. Don't worry about this now, just remember it's something else to be done (if you want), later, after you are in the USA.

    Good Luck !

    Very Well said Darnell.

Ellie1979 I'm getting a First hand Experience of hiring a Lawyer.

They Just delay the process, I hired one when i started the Process and had given all the Documnets needed for IR1/CR1 process.

Wish i had done some research online before hiring one. VJ is more than enough.

I know if i had not hired a Lawyer, i would have had a SIF already.

  6. Would this be the DS-230? It stated in the AVR it is awaiting biographic forms from the petiioner??

When AVR Says "It is awaiting biographic forms from the petiioner", it means they are expecting DS230 from you.

From your Timeline i dont see that you sent in your I864.

If you have sent in your I864 alrady then yes, NVC is waiting for you to Send in your D2-230.

Elese you need to talk to an Operator or send in yout I864 and DS230.

  7. Ok finally found it. I hope this helps. But I will still keep you posted when I find the cheapest site also. :D

Spotlight Article: The Best Time to Get a Deal on Plane Tickets

You might think plane tickets from one destination to another are generally the same price. Surprisingly, they are not. The variation can be as much as forty percent based things such as the airline, the dates you fly, the hours you fly and where you sit. Given this huge variation, the frugal traveler should smell a potential deal. In this article, we talk about how to get it.

    1. The first issue to consider is the season. If you are hoping to fly from New York to Paris in June, you are going to pay and pay big. Why? This is the high tourist season. You couldn’t fly at a worse possible time. There is so much demand that the airlines are going to keep prices high without exception. The lesson – don’t fly during high season.

    2. When you commit to the trip, start looking for tickets immediately. The farther out you are from your departure date, the better the chance you’ll have of getting a good deal. Why? Well, the airlines are more interested in filling seats at this point than working you over for every dollar you have. As the departure date approaches, a flight with few remaining seats available will be able to charge a premium for them.

    3. When is the cheapest hour to fly? The red-eye flights my friend. You will always save money on these.

    4. What are the best days to fly? The answer is three fold – Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Of these three, Wednesday is the absolute cheapest day.

    5. What about holidays? Try to fly early and late. Try the previous weekend for the trip to your destination and a few days after the crowd has flown home to come back. These days are devoid of travelers and seats are usually very cheap.

    6. If you really want to score a deal, stay up late on Tuesday night. When the clock ticks over into Wednesday morning, start shopping for deals. The airline reservation programs release new seats after midnight, so you can get killer deals. That being said, the seats don’t last for long and will be gone by the time people wake up on Wednesday morning.

The biggest expense of most trips is the flight. Take the time and effort to work the system and you can cut this expense down to the nub and save a bundle of money on your trip. Enjoy

Very Nice... Someone is alreay looking @ Flight Deals!!!1

My Friend Pray for our SIF, its been 2 weeks almost, NVC yet to confirm they recieved our Documents!!
