Pardon my ignorance but we are looking at my husbands green card and noticed the category changed from CF1 (Conditional Spouse) to IF1 which has the definition of: Alien whose record of admission is created upon the conclusion of a valid marriage contract after entering as a fiance or fiancee of a U. S. citizen. Does this mean upon the determination of valid marriage or dissolvement of a marriage? We are not divorced and have no intentions of ever divorcing. I have searched through some old threads but didn't find a definitive answer.

APPROVED from VCS!!! Actually we were approved on Friday, 3-22-13 but I didn't have the heart that day to look at USCIS one more time knowing we filed in late August. We are literally lauging and crying at the same time right now! I am not able to update the timeline from this device but wanted to share with everyone. Best Wishes to all August Filers!

After poking around some more I was able to answer my own question! Thank You VJ!

If you file your USCIS Form I-751 (Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence) on time, the USCIS will extend your conditional resident status for up to 12 months while your Form I-751 petition is under review.

You will be mailed a letter receipt for your I-751 stating the above. Carry it and your expired Green Card as proof of your continued status as a PR. ie: Nothing Changes.

What you need to do is order a certified divorce certificate from the courthouse and send this in with your records. Do not send the divorce decree or the marriage certificate. Also, order several copies of your divorce certificate since you will need them through the process. Do not rely on photo copies.

Hi Everyone! Its been a while since I logged on to VJ but it looks like there has been lots of progress in the past month! I wish everyone luck with all the administration stuff and interviews! We just had our interview this past Friday, April 30th at the Frankfurt consultate and we are now Approved! He said the interview was pretty painless but took about 2.5 hours. Most of it was to take different parts of his documentation and verify it. They did't even ask for proof of the relationship or want to see any pictures. They were interested in my Affidavit of Support and supporting documentation. I sent the employment letters, copies of check stubs, three years of tax returns and bank letters. Once is was all done they approved and will send his visa to his residence in Germany within 7 to 9 days. He is scheduled to arrive in the US May 19th!!!!!! I am so excited that he will finally be here and relieved all the K1 stuff is complete. Now to research AOS! Fun Stuff!

I-134 Question. I can't find anything stating you have to send Tax Returns in with this form. Only an employement letter with pay stubs. Is this correct or do you have to submit 3 years of tax returns?

No Touch Here!!! and its killing mejava script:add_smilie("","smid_22") Our NOA1 was Nov. 27th with no touch since 12-1-09. There have been a handful of NOA1 from Nov. 27th approved and some with and RFE's but it seems to be at a stand still at the moment. It is going painfully slow.

Honestly I am happy and exited for everyone who has received their approval this week!!!..............BUT Where Is MINE!!!!!!!! So Frustrating!!!

I've researched this one and it needs to be the original signed copy. Also you need to send the original signed employment letter and bank letter. No scanned or emailed copies for this one.

Ok, now I have some questions/concerns. I have scoured and read the boards on these subjects and now just want to know others experiences. First we receive our NOA1 on November 27th. Since then he came to visit me in the US during Christmas and I went back with him to Germany in January. Fast forward – He is coming back to visit me at the end of March. Could this really be an issue for him to visit me since we are in the K1 process? And if we did receive our NOA2 before he visited will they let him in the country to visit? I read conflicting stories on this but can’t find any rule saying you can’t see each other during the K1 process.

Second, question. Is it really an automatic red flag if the woman is older than the man? I am 7 years older than my fiancé but no we know, including ourselves, has ever questioned this or thought we were an odd couple. Could this really be problem with getting an approval? Should I plan to attend the interview with him in Germany?

Any insight would be appreciated. After reading the boards more and knowing NOA2's approvals are rolling, I'm starting to worry that something will get screwed up!!!!!

I dunno if I'm just lucky or if VSC are getting on with it, but my fiancee received the following email this morning:

My NOA1 date was November 5th and before I get verbally assaulted by some of the angrier members here, I can assure you there is nothing special about my case - no deployment, no asylum, no son of any deity - just a bog standard I129F petition for a normal Scottish boy and a normal American girl.

Hopefully this gives some of you hope - it's a great feeling to get the approval and get ready to move on to the next stage!

FYI...I sent an inquiry regarding my petition and Nov petition in general to the [VSC.Ncscfollowup@dhs.gov] email and this the auto response I received. I plan on calling hte NCSC today and opening a Service Request. If all the VJ Nov VSC people will do the same maybe we can get some action or at least some answers.

My NOA1 is Nov. 27th but seeing that early Nov. filers haven't even been touched isn't a good sign!!

• The service request management tool (SRMT) inquiry number that you were given when you called the NCSC,

o If you have called the NCSC and they informed you they are unable to complete a SRMT please provide a brief explanation.

• The date that you contacted the NCSC,

• Your name and receipt number and/or A-number, and

• If available, the name of the NCSC Customer Service Representative you spoke with.

The Vermont Service Center will review your e-mail and respond through this e-mail account or through the US Postal Service.

If you feel the decision on your case was made in error, to protect your rights you must follow the regulations and file any necessary motion or appeal within the allotted timeframe.

Ok, After reading all the posts I have question regarding the 5 month approval time line. I thought the 5 months represented the entire process from NOA1, NOA2, Interview, Get Visa and finally arrive in the US. Is this not correct? Is the 5 month span the time frame between NOA1 and NOA2? Please!!!!! someone tell me the latter is the case!!!!
